Lil Wayne’s Alleged Tour Bus Shooter Reportedly Cops Plea Deal

Lil Wayne's Alleged Tour Bus Shooter Reportedly Cops Plea Deal

Do you remember when Lil Wayne’s tour bus was shot up in 2015? Well, they alleged shooter reportedly copped a plea deal.

TMZ says Jimmy Winfrey pleaded guilty to 2 counts of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. In return, prosecutors dropped the more serious charges.

Winfrey is now off the hook for “4 counts of violation of the RICO Act, 6 other counts of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, 12 counts of aggravated assault, 2 counts of criminal damage to property in the first degree and 1 count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony,” according to court documents reportedly obtained by TMZ.

His 20-year sentence was reduced to seven years. He didn’t get out of jail free card because he had unrelated outstanding warrants as per his attorney, Steve Sadow.

Winfrey also has to pay the bus driver $100K as apart of the special plea deal to which he is still able to maintain his innocence although he pleads guilty.

There were previous supports suggesting that Birdman and Young Thug were cited as co-conspirators, however, no charges were brought against the Hip Hop figures. The bus driver, Alvin Lewis, claims there’s an overwhelming amount of evidence like phone records, recorded confessions, and promises of payment. But he believes the Cash Money duo struck a secret deal with Cobb County prosecutors.

Thugger has never publicly commented on the situation, and the head honcho denied having any involvement in the shooting. Birdman and Lil Wayne have since reconciled and they highly-anticipated Carter V was released.

Kodak Black has become a magnet for the struggle ever since he was arrested at the U.S. border after his GPS system had him riding dirty towards our neighbors to the north. Now that the cat’s out the bag, cops looking to score an easy notch on their belts in Washington, D.C. came up empty after raiding the Florida rapper’s tour bus.

The Blast reports:

Sources very close to the rapper tell The Blast the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia are currently on scene at The Anthem, where Kodak had a performance scheduled for Wednesday evening.

We’re told D.C. police may have also been assisting other authorities.

We’re told during the concert, authorities went aboard his group of buses and searched the vehicles. Our source says weapons were found on at least one bus and multiple entourage members have been cuffed and taken away.

However, our source stresses that Kodak was not involved and the weapons are not his. The rapper was on stage when the search went down.

The outlet adds that while it isn’t known why cops raided Kodak’s bus and the following entourage, it was noted that an anonymous tip may have been the impetus.

Yeah, right. It’s clear as day cops were hoping to get a high-profile bust. Now, Kodak’s team is going to be on high alert from this point forward on the “Dying To Live” tour.

Birdman Source Shoots Down Claims He Ordered Lil Wayne Tour Bus Hit

Array

Source: WENN / WENN

On Monday (Oct. 1), the rumor mill was ablaze with news that a leaked phone call from 2015 from Birdman connected him to the shooting of Lil Wayne‘s tour bus in April of that year. However, a source connected to Birdman says that the call had nothing to do with that shooting.

TMZ reports:

The man convicted of shooting up Lil Wayne’s tour bus took a jailhouse phone call from Birdman … and it sounds like Birdman was congratulating him on a job well done.

The phone call was made while Jimmy Winfrey was incarcerated in Cobb County, GA. Winfrey would eventually be convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting Weezy’s bus in April 2015.

During the call Birdman says, “Time for you to come out here and get your money. You did everything you could do, boss.”

The audio is shocking for several reasons, not the least of which being the fact Wayne and Birdman recently squashed their beef, and Wayne finally released “Tha Carter V.”

The outlet adds that the audio surfaced as part of a civil lawsuit filed by the driver of the bus, Alvin Lewis, who also named Young Thug in the suit. Lewis claims Birdman promised Winfrey $250,000 and a Porsche for carrying out the hit.

But a source told TMZ that the call that surfaced isn’t connected and further, Birdman doesn’t think Winfrey is the shooter nor would he be linked to anyone who would bring harm to the Young Money honcho.
