No I.D. Says He Asked Pusha T to Not Record His Drake Diss Over “The Story of OJ”

noi.d.

Five years ago, Pusha T set his sights on Drake, unleashing “The Story of Adidon,” a scathing diss track that revealed Drake was “hiding a child.” Flash forward to today, Pusha and Drake didn’t make up like The Boy did with Meek Mill; in fact, it feels like their beef can erupt again at any time.

Speaking on the historic diss is No I.D., who made the “Adidon” beat, but it originally served as the score for JAY-Z’s “The Story of OJ.” Speaking with Stereogum, No I.D. revealed that he told King Push not to use the beat for the diss, but he did it anyway.

“I told [Pusha T], don’t do it, and he did it anyway,” No I.D. said. “I told his manager, Steven Victor, he called me about it. And I was like no, that’s not even the spirit of the song, bro, why would you pick that one? That wasn’t lack of love for him and what he was doing and his art. It was just, again, there’s times I don’t wanna be involved in certain things, because it’s not me.”

Noah ’40’ Shebib Details His Journey with Multiple Sclerosis and the Infamous Pusha-T Diss

Noah '40' Shebib Announces Commitment To Fight Toronto Gun Violence

Somehow, someway, we are still talking about “The Story of Adidon” diss track by Pusha-T targeted at Drake. This time it isn’t neither of the rappers involved speaking on it, instead, Noah “40” Shebib is giving his reactions.

40 spoke with Rolling Stone in an interview and the “Sick, sick, sick” bar about the producer having Multiple Sclerosis was revisited.

“OVO 40, hunched over like he 80—tick, tick, tick
How much time he got? That man is sick, sick, sick.”

“I guess all I’ll say is that was just a different thing for me. Different than a bar that he gets off. No real comment. I made my comment. It was National MS Awareness day,” 40 said. He would also add how he used the moment to bring awareness to the disease.

“Ultimately, I like turning things into positive situations or brighter sides. And if that brings awareness to my disease on a bigger level, I was happy about that. That’s what I used it for. That ultimately is a good thing for me. I like that transaction we had from that perspective. I’m very vocal about it.

“That was something different than a bar in a song. That’s cool, I barely know that guy,” 40 said of Pusha-T added.

40 would go on to detail how the disease impacts his body, revealing he learned his diagnosis at 22-years-old. He would say that he learned he could stop moving at any time. He would also recall a moment on a tour that resulted in his facing going numb and uncontrollable shaking leading to a doctor visit.

The hit-making producer would also reveal that he was not taking the medication required for suppression of MS, which he says resulted in “about a third of my brain’s dead at this juncture.”

Golden State Warriors Play ‘The Story of Adidon’ Before Game 3 of NBA Finals

The battle of NBA Finals petty between the Golden State Warriors and Drake continued during Game 3 on Wednesday Night, even with Drake not in the building. Reports from inside Oracle Arena state the Warriors shootaround music was to the haymaker punch of a diss track “Story of Adidon” by Pusha T.

The song, which turned one-year-old, at the end of last month was an onslaught on Drake by King Push that revealed Drake had a secret son and more. Someone in the Warriors organization (we’re looking at you Draymond) thought it was a good tune for the warm-up for the battle to be had.

Once the tip-off happened, the Raptors took over and won the game, giving Aubrey the last laugh of the night on his Instagram story.

This isn’t the first time the Drake-targeted diss has made an appearance in the NBA playoffs. In the Eastern Conference Finals, the daughter of the Milwaukee Bucks owner sat courtside next to minority owner and Green Bay Packers quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, with a t-shirt that had Pusha’s face on it. A subtle jab that the OVO leader picked up.

The Raptors currently lead the series 2-1 and we will have to return to Toronto for at least one more game. The next game in the series is Friday from Oracle Arena.

Today in Hip Hop History: Pusha-T Exposes Drake’s Secret Child in Diss Record ‘The Story of Adidon’

Last year was a triumphant year for Pusha-T who became the first person to come out on top of a rap beef with Drake.

The G.O.O.D Music head honcho gave the song to Funk Flex at Hot 97 which exposed that he fathered a child with a porn star, and also delivered a scathing jab at Drake’s go-to producer 40 and a quick mention that he will pull the evidence back “layer by layer.”

The last blow in this diss is the cover, which features a younger Drake, presumably from the Wheelchair Jimmy days in blackface. To make sure the impact is felt, Pusha T made sure to disclose the image was not photoshopped by tweeting the photographer and gallery that it came from.

Drizzy explained why he was dressed up in blackface and insisted that he’s not a coon. “This was not from a clothing brand shoot or my music career,” he writes. “This picture is from 2007, a time in my life where I was an actor and I was working on a project that was about young black actors struggling to get roles, being stereotyped and type cast. The photos represented how African Americans were once wrongfully portrayed in entertainment.”

Its been an entire year since Push let the world know that Drake was hiding a child, but according to the 6 God, he was hiding the world from his child and not the other way around.

Drake Steps Up Security Amid Kanye Beef

After Yeezy’s Twitter rant aimed at Drake, the feud between the two rap icons is ironically getting real.

The guy known for his pink Polos and “Wheelchair Jimmy” have taken their beef to the street level, with Drake taking precautions in the rift by adding on to his security team around his Hollywood Hills home, according to the rapper’s neighbors.

The rappers live in the same neighborhood, adding to concerns over what might happen when they finally come face to face.

Kanye alleges that Drake threatened his family on multiple occasions, sneak dissed him in songs, and tried to “take food out [Kanye’s] kids mouth.”

Their beef supposedly was exposed over “The Story Of Adidon”, Pusha T’s diss track from his Kanye-produced album Daytona. Pusha’s song revealed the existence of the Toronto rapper’s son and his alleged use of ghostwriters.
