From classic movie scenes to powerful messages to iconic outbursts that have influenced some of the biggest names in today’s Hip Hop, moments from the life of legendary recording artist 2Pac go viral daily.

While today is no different, a clip that shows the groovy side of the thespian two-stepping inside a nightclub in 1995 to the West Coast classic “Let’s Play House” by Tha Dogg Pound goes viral on Tuesday (Oct. 12). “He was so gangsta,” tweets @Meanie_McFeeny on Twitter in the comment section of the 13-second clip.

Posted on October 12 by the popular social media account, @AuxGod_, on Twitter, the tweet captioned “Tupac dancing to ‘Let’s Play House’ (95)” has generated 52,000 views, 2,466 likes and 714 retweets — so far. The clip stems from rare footage of 2Pac at Club 662 in Las Vegas. The one-time nightclub was owned by Suge Knight. You may watch the full video of Shakur dancing on the packed-out dance floor below.

“Let’s Play House” appears on Tha Dogg Pound’s classic album Dogg Food (1995). Signing with Death Row Records in 1992, their debut album, which also features the infamous diss track “New York New York” featuring Snoop Dogg, peaked at #1 on Billboard in November 1995 and went 2x platinum, according to RIAA.

In 1995, the rapper-actor was shot five times during the New York robbery that spawned the infamous beef with best friend-turned-bitter rival Notorious B.I.G. and sentenced to up to four and a half years in jail for sexual abuse. His third album, Me Against the World, was released in March 1995 via Interscope/Jive Records. While in jail, 2Pac signed a multi-album deal with Death Row Records in September 1995.

ICYMI: Billie Eilish Under Fire For Alleged Racist Slur

Billie Eilish Under Fire For Alleged Racist Slur

Billie Eilish might be next to be cancelled for being an alleged racist.

Pop sensation Billie Eilish is catching a lot of heat on social media over past videos allegedly showing her using a racial slur.  A TikTok video was uploaded this week where the Grammy winner can allegedly be heard using several ethnic accents. The 19-year-old singer is also apparently seen on-camera using a racist Asian slur. The authenticity of the videos hasn’t been confirmed, but with over one-million views in three days critics and fans are garnering mixed reactions.

The “Ocean Eyes” singer is also being accused of queerbaiting because of some behind the scenes images she shared getting close with her all girl crew on the set of her “Lost Cause” video. Eilish’s 30-year old boyfriend made news from his homophobic comments towards the LGBTQIA community recently as well and issued an apology of sorts.

Some of the venting we found on Twitter demand an apology, while others made excuses that Eilish was only 14-years-old at the time the videos were made and possibly could’ve been a result of her Tourettes syndrome.

Criticism of the singer’s comments are not new, last year she was criticized for statements she made generalizing rap musicians for not being real and lying in their music.

Lots of celebrities are getting in hot water over resurfaced social media posts, do you think it’s fair to cancel someone based on what they said in the past?

Former Trump and GOP Aide Charged With Distributing Child Porn

Screen Shot 2021 02 08 at 2.57.42 PM

According to a report from The Daily Beast, the former digital specialist who designed social media ads for former President Trump’s 2020 election campaign has been charged with distributing child pornography.

27-year-old Ruben A. Verastigul was arrested on Friday by D.C Metro Police following a child pornography investigation that began in March 2020 until the present. Homeland Security discovered Verastigul while investigating 18 other people who were trading child porn on an unnamed website.

Court docs revealed the digital specialist’s conversation with another user, stating, “Well like I said babies are some of my biggest turn-ons and beast. Young rape… F*** I love all that.”

Citizens For Responsible Energy Solutions, the company that Verastigul worked for since July, stated, “The details of the allegations against Mr. Verastigui are tragic and shocking. He is no longer employed by the organization and we are prepared to fully cooperate with law enforcement requests in this matter to any extent needed.”

After Twitter Suspended His Account, Facebook Is Indefinitely Banning Donald Trump From Posting

Facebook Bans Donald Trump's Account From Posting For 30 Days

Source: SOPA Images / Getty

After all of the racist and outright crazy sh*t that he has said on Twitter that many have warned would eventually lead to yesterday’s bootleg coup, social media companies have said enough.

With only 14 days remaining in his nightmare term, Donald Trump, who has been pushing the norms to the limit, has finally done something that both Democrats and a sizeable number of Republicans can agree was absolutely crazy. After urging a mob of his loyal pro-Trump terrorists to storm the U.S. Capitol Building putting the lives of Congress members, Capitol Police, and his own Vice President in danger, Twitter took the unprecedented act to suspend the inciter-in-chief’s account after he continued to spew false information breaking Twitters Rules.

In violation of those rules, Twitter announced that Trump’s account was locked for 12-hours preventing him from spewing any more dangerous falsehoods.

Initially, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube took similar steps by removing a video that Trump shared calling for the rioters and insurrectionists that he said he “loved” to stand down and go home. He also continued to spew the ridiculously false notion that the November presidential election was “stolen” from him and that he would never “stop fighting.”

Mark Zuckerberg, who has been reluctant to put a muzzle on the lame-duck president, has finally done the right thing and announced today that his company, Facebook, will ban Trump for 30-days, effectively the rest of his term. In a post on his Facebook page, he announced:

The shocking events of the last 24 hours clearly demonstrate that President Donald Trump intends to use his remaining time in office to undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power to his elected successor, Joe Biden.
His decision to use his platform to condone rather than condemn the actions of his supporters at the Capitol building has rightly disturbed people in the US and around the world. We removed these statements yesterday because we judged that their effect — and likely their intent — would be to provoke further violence.
Following the certification of the election results by Congress, the priority for the whole country must now be to ensure that the remaining 13 days and the days after inauguration pass peacefully and in accordance with established democratic norms.
Over the last several years, we have allowed President Trump to use our platform consistent with our own rules, at times removing content or labeling his posts when they violate our policies. We did this because we believe that the public has a right to the broadest possible access to political speech, even controversial speech. But the current context is now fundamentally different, involving use of our platform to incite violent insurrection against a democratically elected government.
We believe the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service during this period are simply too great. Therefore, we are extending the block we have placed on his Facebook and Instagram accounts indefinitely, and for at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is complete.

While some are applauding the decision, many say this decision has come a tad bit too late based on what transpired on Wednesday (Jan.6). It could help keep Trump from saying anything else crazy in his remaining 13 days as Democrats and a growing number of Republicans call for the president to be removed immediately either by invoking the 25th amendment or impeachment.

After this failed coup attempt, we will take the social media silence from Trump, who can technically Tweet again but hasn’t said a peep since his account was suspended.

You Care: Nicki Minaj Is Still Married Despite Name Change On Her Socials

Celebrity Sightings in New York City - February 12, 2020

Source: Robert Kamau / Getty

While they will always remain undefeated The Internets need to taking things so literal. The self proclaimed Queen of Rap is stilled formally spoken for.

Page Six is reporting that Nicki Minaj’s recent name change on social media had a lot of folks in their feelings. According to the story the first lady of Young Money Records recently changed her handle on Twitter to “YIKES”. It was previously “Mrs. Petty” to as a nod to recently jumping the broom from her old boyfriend turned fiance turned husband. Naturally the sudden switch caught the eyes of her followers and speculation of a break up soon came after.

The gossip site spoke to an alleged source close to the “Chun-Li” rapper say that there is no need for alarm. “Nicki Minaj is still with her man. It’s just business as usual for her highness as she prepares to release new music” they explained. Even though it seems Onika and Kenneth seem to still be together it is only fair to assume things in their personal life from perfect.

Back in March her hubby was arrested in California for not registering as a sex offender in that state. For those not in the know he has a spotty history with the law. When he was a teenager he was convicted of attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl. He also plead guilty to first degree manslaughter for which he served seven years of a 10-year sentence.

Black News Reporter Fleeing From Bison Inspires Hilarious Memes

Deon Broxton

Source: Deon Broxton / Deon Broxton

Leave it to Black people to supply relief in the form of comedy during these trying times. One reporter’s ability to dodge incoming trouble has provided us with a new meme.

Thanks to  Deion Broxton, a reporter for KTVM-TV in Butte, Montana, the meme calendar has been updated, and this one is a certified classic. On Wednesday  (Mar.25), he shared a video of himself reporting from Yellowstone National Park, a setting you wouldn’t really find any Black folk. In the clip, you quickly see his attention shifts when he notices the park’s local wildlife, in this case, a group of curious bison making their way towards him.

While side-eyeing the bison, Broxton says Oh, my God, oh, my God,” and then hilarious states, “Oh, no, I ain’t messing with you,” while making the most Black exit ever. The video since he uploaded has amassed 10 million views on Twitter.

Broxton even shared an additional video of the bison who were looking to make an appearance on his camera with the caption:

“Here’s the video of the bison I shot once I got a safe distance away lol.”

Yellowstone National Park even got in on the action sharing the video and thanking the reporter for his swift action stating in a tweet:

“A perfect example of what to do when approached by wildlife!”Thanks, Deion, for putting the #YellowstonePledge into action!”

The pledge calls for visitors to give the park’s wildlife room and follow other simple rules to stay safe while visiting.

In an interview with Maryland’s Towson University, his alma mater, Broxton confirmed his Blackness stating “nothing could prepare a guy who grew up in Baltimore to deal with the wildlife in Montana. I’m used to rats, not bison.”

We totally understand.

Well, we thank Deion for the meme that even NFL Hall-of-Famer Deion Sanders had to comment on as well. You can peep all of the hilarious memes in the gallery below.

Where’s…Kylie?!: Surgeon General Calls On Kylie Jenner To Help Fight Coronavirus

Source: Kylie Jenner continues the grand opening celebration of Sugar Factory American Brasserie in Las Vegas at Fashion Show Mall Featuring: Kylie Jenner Where: Las Vegas, Nevada, United States When: 23 Apr 2017 Credit: Judy Eddy/WENN.com

During a time of uncertainty, crisis and social distancing, United Sates Surgeon General and the nations top doctor is calling on Kylie Jenner to help fight the spread of COVID-19.

On Thursday (Mar 19) while speaking on Good Morning America, Surgeon General Jerome Adams said this is the perfect time to utilize influencers and celebrities, like Kylie Jenner as well as infected basketball stars Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell, to shed light on the impact of the coronavirus.

“We need to get Kylie Jenner and social media influencers out there, in helping folks understand that look, this is serious, this is absolutely serious. People are dying,” Adams said.

The Surgeon General also added that his call to influencers to help spread the message is an attempt to help the younger generation to understand the seriousness and impact that the global virus has had on all of our lives, as well as the importance of staying home to prevent the spread—noting that the younger generation were more likely to ignore the quarantine and are also known to be at risk of both getting sick and spreading COVID-19 to those most vulnerable.

“We are seeing new data from Italy that suggests that young people may be at higher risk than what we previously thought,” Adams continued. “But think about your grandfather, think about your grandmother, think about the fact you’re spreading disease that could ultimately be what kills them.”

For more information on COVID-19 and how you can fight the spread of the virus, visit http://www.cdc.gov.

Lizzo Calls Out Tik Tok Over Deleting Swimsuit Videos

Lizzo Performs Exclusive Concert For SiriusXM And Pandora As Part Of Its Super Bowl Week Opening Drive Super Concert Series

Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty

It’s no secret that Lizzo is a proud of her body, so when the full-figured hottie took to Tik Tok to post a few videos, she noticed that certain videos weren’t being posted.

On Thursday (Mar 5) Lizzo took to social media to call out the site for removing videos of her in her bathing suit, while allowing others users with the same attire to remain. Noticing the double standard, Lizzo addressed the issue by posting a video to the site of herself lip syncing to a song by 22-year-old influencer Erin McMillen.

In a clip posted ever-so-slyly to TikTok, Lizzo is getting her hair done with a caption that reads, “Tiktok keeps taking down my videos with me in my bathing suits,” adding, “But allows other videos with girls in bathing suits. I wonder why Tiktok…we need to talk.”

All the while, the body-positive songstress is mouthing the words to a song with the lyrics “I know” repeatedly, acknowledging what we all know— the video content was taken down because of the way she looks in a swimsuit.

This isn’t the first time the 31-year-old has had to address haters over her body positive stance. During an interview with Glamour,  the “Good As. Hell” singer spoke about the backlash she faces for openly loving herself—just the way she is.

“When people look at my body and be like, ‘Oh my God, she’s so brave,’ it’s like, ‘No, I’m not,” Lizzo said last year. “I’m just fine. I’m just me. I’m just sexy. If you saw Anne Hathaway in a bikini on a billboard, you wouldn’t call her brave. I just think there’s a double standard when it comes to women. I don’t like it when people think it’s hard for me to see myself as beautiful. I don’t like it when people are shocked that I’m doing it.”

With more than 3.4 million followers and 9.8 million views on that video alone, the message was loud and clear and caught the attention of the Tik Tok heads, who according to Page Six, allowed the site to restore the video.

In response to the allegations that the video was removed in a way to body shame Lizzo, a Tik Tok representative responded noting that the video was removed due to those in control “mistaking her swimsuit for underwear, but upon further review they discovered that it was Lizzo’s bathing suit and not her underwear.”

TikTok’s content standards, which were updated in early 2020, forbids “sexually explicit or gratifying content” including nudity. However, the guidelines do not specify where bathing suits fall within those rules.
