Need something to do while you’re social distancing locked down in your home, Capcom got you. The company announced the demo for the remake of Resident Evil 3 is arriving this week.

On March 19th, PlayStation 4, Xbox One X, and PC owners will be able to download the Resident Evil 3 demo and play as Jill Valentine and try to escape Racoon City and the insanely dangerous Nemesis. In a blog post announcing the demo’s release date, Capcom reveals the Resident Evil 3 will focus on the action more but warns you not to go wasting ammo.

“While there’s a bit more focus on action in Resident Evil 3 compared to last year’s Resident Evil 2, you won’t want to go in guns blazing – it may be a demo, but you’ll need to conserve your ammo and items if you want to stand a chance of surviving.”

The demo wasn’t the only thing announced, Capcom also revealed when players could partake in the open beta for Resident Evil Resistance, the online co-op horror game that takes place in the RE universe. Things will officially kick off on March 27 and will allow players to try out four of the games six survivors and a single “mastermind” named Daniel Fabron. The Resistance Beta will be available until launch.

As for the demo, it would seem this one is not timed like Resident Evil 2’s 1-Shot timed trial.

Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil Resistance both arrive on PlayStation 4, Xbox One X, and PC April 3, looking forward to adding this to our #quarantineliving list of games to play.

Capcom Says Don’t Worry,Nemesis Can’t Break Into Safe Rooms In ‘Resident Evil 3 Remake’

Despite An Earlier Report, Capcom Confirms Nemesis Cannot Enter Safe Rooms

Source: Capcom / Resident Evil 3 Remake

The demo for Resident Evil 3 Remake hasn’t arrived yet, BUT an earlier report claiming Nemesis could enter “safe rooms” will not be the case, so you can breathe a sigh of relief.
We already know that Nemesis was going to be like Mr.X from Resident Evil 2 but on steroids when details about the game were released, and we saw it first hand in IGN’s preview of the game. It was hinted that developers were looking to make life harder for Jill and Carlos and players by expanding Nemesis’ ability to move around, and a report that arrived earlier today hinted at Nemesis being, even more, peskier than before.

According to the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine, Nemesis can now break into “safe rooms.” The terrifying new detail was discovered during a hands-on experience of the game that featured the menacing NPC barging into a room while the player was more than likely trying to calm their nerves.

Capcom has now confirmed that will not be the case and that “safe rooms” will indeed be safe from Nemesis. Capcom stated you will know by the music if you’re indeed in Nemesis-proof designated “safe room,” and just because there is a typewriter in the location doesn’t mean you will get a break from the giant terror.

Historically in Resident Evil games, the safe room was where players could save their games, have access to the storage box, and, most importantly, gather themselves before heading back into the danger zone. You could even use the safe room as a way to elude baddies, especially Mr.X, in the remake of Resident Evil 2. Developers did give him access to the main hall, a section of the game he couldn’t stalk you in the original game.

If you played Alien Isolation, this isn’t really surprising being that the Xenomorph could attack you while you were saving your game. If the report was fact, it would have been uncharted territory for Resident Evil 3 fans and will only make a game that was already difficult even more challenging to complete.

Woo, we almost had a heart attack.

Resident Evil 3 Remake arrives on PlayStation 4, Xbox One X and Steam April 3, 2020, and is available for pre-order right now. It will also come with the online multiplayer game, Resident Evil Resistance.

Get Your Nerves Up, Capcom Announces ‘Resident Evil 3’ Is On The Way

Capcom Announces 'Resident Evil 3" Demo Is Coming Very Soon

Source: Capcom / Resident Evil 3

If you’re like us, your nerves are still recovering from Resident Evil 2 thanks to Capcom bringing back the classic game and re-imagining the zombie nightmare. The video game publisher announced today (Feb.25) that a demo for its next remake, Resident Evil 3 is on the way.

Get ready, because if you thought Mr.X in Resident Evil 2 was ridiculous, you ain’t see nothing yet when the STAAAARRRSSSS hunter, Nemesis returns. While not revealing a date, Capcom announced a demo is in the works to give fans a small taste of the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 3, stating that more details will soon be revealed.

No word on if Capcom will decide to go the same route it did with Resident Evil 2 by dropping a “1-shot” timed demo that allowed players to play the game for 30-minutes until time ran out. We won’t be surprised if that will be the case for Resident Evil 3 as well. Footage has been circulating all day, giving people a glimpse of the new and improved Nemesis in the game, and basically, he makes Mr.X look like a walk in the park.

We are not sure if our nerves can handle it, the looming threat of a giant B.O.W. (bio-organic weapon) chasing you around with a flamethrower or, in some cases, a rocket launcher doesn’t sit well at all. IGN recently dropped a preview of the game, and it confirms this game will not only level-up the terror but looks insanely challenging to boot. So do yourselves a favor and peep the video below just to give yourself an idea of what you’re going to be eventually dealing with.

We will keep you updated when Capcom announces the release date for the demo, Resident Evil 3 is available for pre-order now and drops on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One X 4/3/2020.
