Last year, Eminem found himself in the middle of a beef with Machine Gun Kelly, which saw the latter unleash the “Rap Devil” diss. The single is officially one year old and Kelly used the yearbook photo and caption of a student, Savannah Frank, who made sure she knew who won the beef.
“Rap Devil was better,” captioned the photo.
“it’s the ‘Rap Devil’ one year anniversary today….tell it happy birthday,” MGK wrote.
Ohio rapper Machine Gun Kelly is getting under the skin of Slim Shady fans one last time. The hip-hop artist has fired off one final blast at Eminem before 2019.
Last night, MGK hopped on Instagram to troll Em with a snippet from his now-infamous “Rap Devil” battle video.
Eminem has proven as much with “Killshot,” his scorching new Machine Gun Kelly diss track that debuts at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. The diss track also launches atop the Digital Song Sales chart, Eminem’s first song to do so since his Rihanna collaboration “The Monster” in 2013. “Killshot” marks Eminem’s 10th Digital Song Sales chart-topper, tying him with Drake for the most among male artists. According to reports, Em’s “Killshot” YouTube video had the largest debut of any hip-hop song in YouTube history.
The official audio of “Killshot” earned a record 38.1 million views on YouTube in the first 24 hours of its release on Friday. It now has over 72 million views on the site. YouTube said “Killshot” also had the third-highest debut of any song in the site’s history, and the track is on top of the site’s US trending chart. (Business Insider)
If you’re waiting for a response from Machine Gun Kelly for Eminem’s “Killshot,” don’t hold your breath. He went on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club and said he’s not responding. Although Slim Shady earned the biggest Hip Hop debut in Youtube’s history, MGK wasn’t impressed.
The Cleveland rapper said that he had a response ready but decided to shelve it after Em’s “out of touch” diss. “I had a clip ready,” MGK said. “I heard ‘Killshot’ and I put that shit back in the holster… He called me a mumble rapper, dog.”
Earlier in the interview, Machine Gun Kelly criticized Em for not using facts in his diss. “We’re talking about facts, you want to talk about man buns? Answer the facts,” he said. “You want to talk about a hair style I wore in a blockbuster movie? And a 10-episode Showtime series called Roadies? I’m an actor, homie. How disconnected are you?”
When asked why wouldn’t he respond MGK said this wasn’t apart of his plan. “This wasn’t even on my path anyway… I’m on a tour opening up for a rock band, in a completely different mind state than this.”
When it comes to verbal manslaughter, Eminem has always been ill so his latest jab at MGK was no different.
On Friday (Sept 14), after waiting for more than a week, Eminem has released his response to MGK’s “Rap Devil” with his own on record decimation, “Kill Shot.”The four-minute record takes aim at several lines spit by MGK, including the line that calling out Em for not visiting his hometown.
“Last time you saw 8 Mile was at home on a treadmill.”
In response, Em, says, “I’m really sorry you want me to have a heart attack/Was watchin’ 8 Mile on my NordicTrack/Realized I forgot to call you back.”
But it didn’t stop there, Eminem pointing out MGK’s lack of chart success by throwing a jab at Diddy who signed him to Bad Boy in 2012.
“The day you put out a hit’s the day Diddy admits that he put the hit out that got Pac killed.”
Although Eminem makes a point to show love to Diddy at the end of the track saying, “Oh, and I’m just playin’, Diddy. You know I love you,” some Hip-Hop fans didn’t take too kindly towards the Tupac line. One fan, in particular, was Jay Electronica, who issued a swift warning to Eminem via Twitter over the jab.
“@eminem, how dare you accuse diddy of killing tupac while you completely look pass jimmy iovine and those who profited from his death the MOST. You best tread carefully Son, before i come tear your ivory tower down like Sulaiman done the Templar Knights. #ripProof”

MGK set the rap world ablaze when he dropped his diss record, “Rap Devil”, in response to Eminem’s initial diss “calling Eminem washed up with misplaced anger and also accused the Detroit veteran of blackballing him in the industry over a tweet in 2012 about his daughter.
“Let’s call Sway ask why he can’t go up to Shade 45 because of you/Let’s ask Interscope how you had Paul Rosenberg trying to shelf me/Still can’t cover up the fact the last four albums as bad as your selfie/ Now tell me what do you stand for?/I know you can’t stand yourself.”
