Quando Rondo Celebrates Holidays On House Arrest

Quando Rondo

Quando Rondo had a fortunate twist of fate just before the holidays. The Savannah rapper celebrated Christmas at home instead of behind bars.

Home For The Holidays

Just in time for the holidays, Quando Rondo, whose real name is Tyquian Bowman, was released from prison on Dec. 21.

However, his newfound freedom comes with a catch – he will still have to endure house arrest. The “ABG” rapper’s release follows a five-hour detention hearing, during which his lawyer vehemently argued against the federal drug charges that landed Rondo in trouble in the first place.

The Hearing

In the detention hearing, Rondo’s lawyer, Tom Withers, made a strong case, asserting that the government lacked any substantial evidence of the rapper’s involvement in drug distribution or possession.

The prosecution, represented by Bradley Thompson, presented wiretapped phone calls as evidence of Rondo’s alleged dangerous behavior. One call played during the hearing captured Rondo requesting weapons after noticing rival gang members at a movie theater.

However, the defense pointed out that no violent incidents occurred as a result of the call. Thompson also referenced another phone call where Rondo’s Percocet pills were found on a kitchen table near his daughter.

Withers, reflecting on Rondo’s response to the mistake, argued that the rapper had shown genuine concern. Despite the arguments presented by both sides, U.S. Magistrate Judge Christopher Ray ultimately released Rondo on an unsecured $100,000 bond, admitting that the decision was a close one.

Quando Rondo Arrested On Federal Drug Charges

Quando Rondo has found himself on the wrong side of the law once again. The rapper’s recent arrest comes after being indicted for violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.

Quando Rondo Arrested

Quando Rondo, whose real name is Tyquian Bowman, was arrested in Macon, Georgia on federal drug charges, marking another setback in his career. This arrest comes after Rondo’s indictment earlier this year for violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, conspiracy to violate the Georgia Controlled Substance Act, and illegally using a communication facility.

Rondo’s arrest on Dec. 8 in Chatham County, Georgia, follows a series of legal troubles that have plagued the young rapper.

According to the indictment filed against him in June 2023, the Savannah native is alleged to be a part of the Rollin’ 60’s gang, involved in illegal activities such as obtaining guns from fellow gang members and organizing a marijuana sale in Macon.

More Details Revealed

He is also accused of purchasing hydrocodone pills separately in Savannah. The indictment further reveals that other gang members in Rondo’s circle were involved in trafficking large quantities of illegal substances, including cocaine, M30 pills, hydrocodone, and fentanyl.

This recent arrest adds to the mounting list of legal challenges Rondo has faced. In September 2023, the Chatham County District Attorney filed a motion requesting that he be prohibited from entering the county as a part of his bond conditions.

In June 2023, Quando Rondo was released on a $100,000 bond after facing a series of felony charges. The charges included managing a street gang and drug-related offenses.

Kodak Black Arrested

Another rapper who was recently arrested on drug charges was Kodak Black. The “Walk” rapper was arrested on December 7 and the police discovered him sleeping in his black 2019 Bentley SUV blocking the road. Police also said he was swallowing  a mouthful of cocaine.

Quando Rondo Arrested On Federal Drug Charges

Screenshot 2023 12 11 at 7.26.02 AM

Several news reports have confirmed that Tyquian Terrel Bowman aka Quando Rondo was arrested over the weekend on federal drug charges in Georgia.

According to the reports, Rondo was taken into custody without incident after the vehicle he was in was pulled over, however, the “routine” traffic stop was conducted solely for the purpose of detaining the 24-year-old on federal charges.

None of the other occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.

Rondo was indicted this summer along with 18 other individuals on state violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act due to his involvement in the Rollin’ 60 Crips organization.

Prosecutors allege that the “ABG” rapper instructed another defendant to negotiate weed prices and then traveled to Macon, GA to pay the supplier.

TheSource.com will update this story as more details become available.

Hitting Twitter, Young Thug’s sister, Dolly White, spoke about the offer.

“So quando got a bond on Rico charges but they won’t give Jeff one,” White wrote. “Let alone found not one juror to start the process.”

She added, “The system failing us when they won’t Free Jeff already damn.”

According to WJCL 22, Chatham County Superior Court Judge Tammy Stokes stated, “The court finds it significant that the defendant surrendered himself for arrest the day after he learned of the warrant for his arrest.”

As a condition, Rondo had to surrender his passport, couldn’t speak with co-defendants, must stay away from guns and illegal drugs, waive extradition, and couldn’t break laws. He must also be present at each of his court hearings.

In the previous update, Judge Tammy Stokes wanted to take “all of the information presented by both sides” before the bond decision.

Quando Rondo Takes Shots at King Von and His Sister on New Joint Project ‘3860’ with NBA Youngboy

Quando Rondo Takes Shots at King Von and His Sister on New Joint Project ‘3860’ with NBA Youngboy

Words by: Timothy Mwachia

Quando Rondo joined forces with his label boss NBA Youngboy this Friday (Nov. 25) for their new collab mixtape, 3860. On one of the 16 songs on the project, “Want Me Dead,” Quando goes on a lyrical offensive against the late King Von and his sister Kayla B, as well as Lil Durk.

Although he doesn’t mention any names, Quando labeled Von his “favorite opp,” and in the process of dissing Kayla, he referenced the incident Lul Tim fatally shot the Chicago rapper outside an Atlanta nightclub in 2020. “My favorite opp dead, sister talk too much, no I don’t like the bitch, Lul Timmy rollеd her brother up, got steppеd on in some Nike kicks,” the Savanah native raps.

A few lines farther on his verse, Quando responds to Lil Durk’s 7220 track, “Ahhh Ha,” while reminding him of Von’s tragic death. “Ah ha, I don’t see shit funny, we stepped on your brother,” he spits.

Just in September, Quando publicly denounced gang life while blaming it all on disloyalty. “I’m not jump out gang either ain’t no loyalty in this sh*t. I’m my own man I layed my flag down I’m not NH (NeighborHood) y’all ain’t gone ride for a ni**a formal it’s no sense of me being apart of y’all sh*t,” he wrote on Instagram stories. He added that he wants to “focus on my family the ones who gone really drop a tear if I die.”

This was shortly after the rapper and his cousin Lul Pab were targeted in a shooting while riding together in Los Angeles, and the latter consequently died from his gunshot wounds while the former was unharmed.

The 23-year-old did catch heat from some of his rap peers including Foolio, who flamed him for trying to “squash beef and throw his flag in,” adding that “it’s to late nephew.”

The new joint project from Youngboy and Quando arrived with a sole feature from Lul Tim on the song “I Swear.”

Quando Rondo Mourns Lul Pab on Instagram: "You Hurt My Heart Cuz"

Following a shooting that killed his associate Lul Pab, Quando Rondo has spoken out on Instagram. Sharing an image with his fallen friend online, Rondo wrote: “My cuz.”

In a separate post on his Instagram Story, Quando Rondo wrote, “You hurt my heart cuz.”

Around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, August 19, a gunshot took place in the Beverly Grove area of Los Angeles. When three males in a white sedan drew up next to Rondo and his group’s black Escalade and started firing, they were at a petrol station. Lul Pab was taken out of the car and sent to the hospital, where he was later declared dead.

According to early rumors, Rondo was shot during the incident. A later released statement revealed Rondo was unharmed and survived the shooting.

“Quando was involved in a shooting yesterday evening [Friday] which resulted in the untimely death of another’s young man’s life; he himself didn’t sustain any injuries during the shooting and is safe,” the statement read.
