Flavor Flav Fires Back At Donald Trump In Defense Of Taylor Swift

After former President Donald Trump expressed his disdain for famed singer Taylor Swift on his Truth Social site after she publicly endorsed VP Kamala Harris, Public Enemy hype man Flavor Flav quickly and passionately jumped to Swift’s defense.

Flav took to X and posted “I LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT,!!” Flav in his response to Trump’s “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” COMMENT. One X user accused the 65-year-old rap legend of catering to Swift fans, saying, “Pandering to the swifties? Pretty pathetically hilarious,” Flav returned fire, replying, “You must be new here,,, allow me to reintroduce myself,,, they call me KING SWIFTIE.” He also retweeted actor Mark Hamil expressing his support for Swift as well.

Outside of politics, Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals over the weekend to cheer on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

White House Coronavirus Task Force Holds Daily Briefing At The White House

President Donald Trump’s coronavirus task force held a briefing earlier Friday (April 10) that had much of the usual bluster expected from the former business mogul. However, what turned heads for some was U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams making an odd demand of communities of color in a lame attempt to seem relatable.

During the press briefing, Trump and other members of the task force took to the podium to offer their comments regarding the ongoing COVID-19 crisis with updates on impending measures Dr. Adams took to the podium and made the bizarre charge to Black and Hispanic families that truly had little to do with the novel coronavirus situation.

While using the moment to illustrate that COVID-19 cases are spreading across Black communities at a disproportionately higher rate, Adams fired into the twisting wind a word of advice nobody asked for.

“[W]e need you to do this, if not for yourself, then for your abuela. Do it for your granddaddy, do it for your Big Mama, do it for your pop-pop,” Adams said after stressing the families should follow medical guidance from the task force and check on families.

Adams defended the statement by saying that he was trying to address all Americans, including those with existing health conditions that some could consider high risk. Journalist Yamiche Alcindor questioned Adams’ decision to frame the advice in the fashion he did as to say those activities raise the risk of contracting the disease to which he said he was applying language and terms that he and his family use.

Right.

For those keeping score at home, Rep. Maxine Waters has fired off a number of jabs and quips in the direction of President Donald Trump. Her latest missive came via Twitter as she blasted the former business mogul over his handling of the COVID-19 crisis.

The California congresswoman fired off her latest blows on Monday (March 30) as the nation continues to grapple with the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. President Trump’s response to the situation has been criticized in the media and by pundits on the sidelines, but Waters’ pointed words have been among the sharpest yet from an elected official.

“Trump, stop congratulating yourself! You’re a failure & you’ve mishandled this #COVID19 disaster! You’re not knowledgeable & you don’t know more than experts & generals. Your ignorance & incompetence are appalling & you continue to demonstrate that every time you open your mouth,” read one tweet.

Waters came back with another writing, “Trump, you incompetent idiot! You sent 18 tons of PPE to China early but ignored warnings & called COVID19 concerns a hoax. You’ve endangered doctors, nurses, aids, orderlies, & janitors – all risking their lives to save ours. Pray 4 forgiveness for the harm that you’re causing!”

As it stands, Congresswoman Waters and President Trump will never cross the bridge of friendship, at least not anytime soon. Waters echoes the sentiments of many who feel that the Trump administration’s handling of COVID-19 has been largely pushing forth lofty projections and misinformation at an almost daily clip.

Trump’s initial plans of reopening the economy by Easter has been shot down repeatedly by medical experts on all sides, prompting him to bend to the will of science and extend his projection until the end of April at best.

Diamond & Silk have once again put on their good tapdancing shoes and polished up those pearly whites to smooch more of President Donald Trump’s wide behind. The Fox News’ hosts are claiming that the tally of deaths stemming from the coronavirus and COVID-19 situation are baked to make Trump look terrible in the media.

Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, the real names of Diamond & Silk, hopped on their live video broadcast over the weekend to make the explosive and dangerous claims that the reports of death are being falsified.

“In a matter of two weeks, over 1,000 people supposedly died from the coronavirus. In a two weeks time period, over 1,000 people after being tested positive have died from the coronavirus,” Silk is seen saying on the video before adding that “it took 39 days, from January all the way up to February the 29th” for the first person to die as Diamond chimed in.

The two engaged in more incoherent banter while heaping praise on President Trump as they often do.

“Here’s another thing. My president said on March the 24th, Tuesday this past week, my president said that he would love for America to be back up and running,” Silk continues.

She added, “At the time he said it there was 25,489 cases with 307 deaths. Instantaneously, you had the media calling President Trump out, he wanted open by Easter, he want this open by Easter – me and you was talking, I said now watch the number of deaths go up.

With the entire world gripped by the spread of coronavirus and the condition COVID-19 that comes from the collection of viruses, President Donald Trump elected to take a jab at the Chinese government. In one of his tweets, the former business mogul referred to COVID-19 as the “Chinese Virus” much to the shock and disappointment of many.

Trump used the social media network to issue words of calm but instead took an unexpected path and misnamed COVID-19 and the collection of viruses known to cause respiratory issues from “novel coronavirus” grouping by calling it “the Chinese Virus.”

“The United States will be powerfully supporting those industries, like Airlines and others, that are particularly affected by the Chinese Virus. We will be stronger than ever before,” Trump tweeted Monday evening.

Trump is reportedly surrounded by experts who have surely given him the correct medical term for the virus so it has been famed by the reaction on Twitter that the usage of the term “Chinese Virus” was a deliberate attempt to frame the nation of China as the culprit of the global pandemic.

While it is true the COVID-19 virus originated in China’s Hubei province, it doesn’t shake out that Trump was noting the place of origin given the tone of the tweet. It could have also been a savvy move on the president’s part to use the veil of comfort and command of the situation and to also smear the Chinese government in some fashion.

The bottom line, however, is that viruses can’t have a nationality and no doubt Trump at the very least knows that fact. Of course, many supporters of Trump are praising the jab and some are even dubbing virus as the “Communist Virus.”

Cheeto Chump: President Donald Trump Blames Barack Obama For Coronavirus Fumble

Barack Obama is living a post-presidential life and still dispensing the same wisdom and coolness as he exhibited during his time as the 44th President of the United States. Apparently, 44 lives rent-free inside President Donald Trump’s head, this after the former business mogul attempted to shift the blame of the coronavirus response to the Obama administration.

In one of his usual ham-handed morning missives on Twitter on Friday (March 13), President Trump wrote the following string of “thoughts”:

For decades the @CDCgov looked at, and studied, its testing system, but did nothing about it. It would always be inadequate and slow for a large scale pandemic, but a pandemic would never happen, they hoped. President Obama made changes that only complicated things further…..

… Their response to H1N1 Swine Flu was a full scale disaster, with thousands dying, and nothing meaningful done to fix the testing problem, until now. The changes have been made and testing will soon happen on a very large scale basis. All Red Tape has been cut, ready to go!

Folks accustomed to Trump’s bluster should be able to see that this is another attempt to deflect from the fact he and his administration fumbled the handling of the COVID-19 outbreak domestically and are still doing damage control.

This kind of tactic works with MAGA nutjobs and conservative pundits who need fodder to rile up their respective bases and listeners, but it’s awfully thin to place the blame on Obama for what should have been a far more robust response to the pandemic.

As it stands, folks on Twitter are letting Trump know that trying to blame Obama for his gaffe isn’t going to fly. We’ve got those reactions below.

Goofball-In-Chief President Donald Trump Misspells Coronavirus As Caronavirus

President Donald Trump let those Twitter fingers fly once again, which often leads to grammatically-challenged missives that can’t be ignored. The “Covfefe” man is back at it, this time misspelling coronavirus as caronavirus.

Instead of doing his job and running the country, the former business mogul took time to log on to the social media network to unload some criticism against MSNBC and CNN and their coverage of the deadly and fast-growing virus. In Trump’s world, the networks are overstating its seriousness because as we all know, this president is a stable genius who knows a lot.

“Low Ratings Fake News MSDNC (Comcast) & @CNN are doing everything possible to make the Caronavirus look as bad as possible, including panicking markets, if possible. Likewise their incompetent Do Nothing Democrat comrades are all talk, no action. USA in great shape,” Trump tweeted Wednesday morning (Feb.26).

He added, “I will be having a News Conference at the White House, on this subject, today at 6:00 P.M. CDC representatives, and others, will be there. Thank you!”

Of course, experts who are actually working to tackle the COVD-19 and prevent it from becoming an even larger pandemic have been trying to school the goofball-in-chief but it’s a fair bet to assume he won’t pay attention to anything resembling good sense.

Throughout Twitter, many are blasting the president’s ignorant remarks in trying to downplay the well-documented spread of coronavirus in Asia and in other parts of the world.

Among the many baffling moments of President Donald Trump’s State Of The Union address, conservative blowhard Rush Limbaugh being awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom is among the highest.

Limbaugh, 69, has been beating the drum for the right via his wildly popular radio show, The Rush Limbaugh Show since 1988. As a result of the show’s wide reach, Limbaugh has been considered by many to be a weaponized voice for conservatives and many of his controversial takes have stoked the fires of dissent between liberals who view his brand of commentary divisive and flat out racist.

Trump’s wife, First Lady Melania Trump, placed the medal around Limbaugh’s neck as he was flanked by his wife. The honor is the highest awarded to a civilian, placing the radio host in the company with the likes of Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Jr., Michael Jordan, Sidney Poitier, and more.

Make no mistake about it, Limbaugh has made a career of being especially vicious with his commentary as it relates to people of color, especially Black Americans, and has aimed his bombast in the direction of anyone who dares to not share his and millions of listeners’ narrow view of politics.  Earlier this week, Limbaugh announced that he has been diagnosed with late-stage lung cancer thus the timing of the award has an air of suspicion hanging over it.

Online, most especially Twitter, many observers were taken aback Limbaugh receiving the honor considering he is partly responsible for some of the agitated energy and combative nature of conservatives and Republicans who propelled Trump into the hallowed halls of the White House. In so many words, Trump awarding Limbaugh the Medal of Freedom feels like nothing more than a ploy to keep his based on his side and further drive a wedge between the opposing sides despite his many failures a leader.

Limbaugh’s given the world plenty of fodder over the years that point to his not-so-thinly veiled racist ways. We’ve got some of those moments listed on the following pages.

#UCrane: Don Lemon Loses It On Air After GOP Strategist Rick Wilson Slanders Trump

CNN Tonight with host Don Lemon tackled Secretary of State Mike Pompeo allegedly attempting to debunk an NPR reporter’s knowledge of Ukraine’s location on a map and the fallout that ensued. Guest panelist GOP strategist Rick Wilson took a dig at President Donald Trump with a joke that caused Lemon to laugh uncontrollably during the segment and got a response from the former business mogul.

On Monday (Jan. 27) Lemon introduced the segment with quotes from Secretary Pompeo in where he says NPR reporter Mary Louise Kelly lied to him twice and actually pointed to Bangladesh on a map instead of Ukraine, in what appears to be an attempt to delegitimize the media’s findings and discussion around the controversial matter.  Lemon mentioned that Kelly holds a graduate degree in European Studies from Cambridge University before giving Wilson the floor.

“Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letter “U” and a picture of an actual, physical crane next to it,” Wilson said, driving Lemon to laugh so hard that he placed his head on his desk.

With Lemon unable to regain his composure, Wilson piles on with the slander while saying that the Trump administration is trying to appeal to its base while essentially stating that they largely don’t care about the facts. What got some Trumpers upset was Wilson’s use of a southern accent in a mocking tone, failing to realize he too is from the south.

President Trump’s disdain for CNN was once again on display as he took the time to mention Lemon by name while sharing a tweet from the Daily Caller, although it was Wilson who made the joke.

“Don Lemon, the dumbest man on television (with terrible ratings!),” read the caption in the video featuring the CNN segment. Other right-leaning publications have also blasted Lemon and CNN over the dig but on Twitter, critics of Trump are having a field day with the moment. We’ve got those reactions below.

Trump Knew: Lev Parnas Dry Snitched On Everybody [Video]

Giuliani Associate Lev Parnas Back In Court As Prosecutor Asks For Bail To Be Revoked

Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman made headlines last month after the pair were connected to President Donald Trump‘s Ukraine scandal, this after evidence suggested the pair worked to undermine Trump’s political rivals. In a complete break with Trump and his attorney Rudy Giuliani, Parnas gave up a series of details, some of which were corroborated by evidence, that implicates President Trump in the scandal.

Parnas, 47, was hired by Giuliani as a “fixer” and along with Fruman was charged by the former New York mayor to dig up information on Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden and examine the legalities of their ties to Ukraine. This past Tuesday, the House Intelligence Committee presented more impeachment inquiry evidence, documents that Parnas provided.

Among the evidence are personal notes from Parnas and text messages, all that connect to Giuliani working on behalf of President Trump in order to get Ukraine officials to bend to Trump’s will in gathering intel on the Bidens. It appears that Parnas was the bridge between the White House and Ukraine and was attempting to get Ukrainian officials to publicly state it was investigated Joe Biden, a frontrunner in the Democratic Party primary race.

The Parnas documents shifted the tide of the allegations faced by Trump that he was conspiring to work with a foreign power for political gain. To double down on the claims and to explain more of what he knew, Parnas was a guest Wednesday night (Jan. 15) on MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show and he made several claims that seemingly connect, although it should be reported that Parnas is by no means an innocent party.

Although Trump claimed he never met Parnas or Furman, photos suggested otherwise and Parnas added weight to that connection.

“President Trump knew exactly what was going on,” Parnas said. “He was aware of all of my movements. I wouldn’t do anything without the consent of Rudy Giuliani or the president.”

Parnas also added that his work in Ukraine was centered on gathering information on Joe and Hunter Biden and their connection to a Ukrainian energy company, Burisma Holdings.

“It was all about Burisma, all about Biden, about Hunter Biden and Joe Biden,” Parnas added. He also said that Ukraine was aware that he was acting on behalf of Trump in some capacity, a claim that Giuliani has shot down. Parnas also said that Attorney General Bill Barr was also in the know, despite the AG’s claim he was not involved.

The Parnas interview was the first of a promised two-part event.
