Joe Budden Slams Adam22 For Posthumous Kevin Samuels Content

Joe Budden Joins Patreon As Head of Creator Equity

Kevin Samuel’s sudden death earlier this year was met with mixed reactions as some paid their respects to the controversial influencer while others celebrated his death. On the Joe Budden Podcast, Joe, Ice and Ish paid their respects to Samuels who actually guest starred on the podcast early last year.

Following his death, many social media outlets started to repost clips from Samuels’ IG lives, interviews, and YouTube content. No Jumper, a popular hip-hop media outlet based out of Los Angeles and run by Adam 22, started to upload clips of Samuels’ old content. Adam 22 recently guest starred on the Joe Budden Podcast where he was scolded by Budden for re-uploading Samuels’ content after his death.

While on the episode, Budden brought up the late men’s influencer, and Adam22 responded, “Rest in peace.” Budden then told the No Jumper host “i don’t like what you did after he died.”

Budden went on to call Adam22’s actions “disgusting” and the “nastiest performance I’ve ever seen.” Adam22 defended his postition saying that when someone dies, there’s a huge demand for that person’s content on social media.

What is your job as a content creator? Your job is to make content and get that content out to the people that want to see it,” Adam said. “Somebody dies, there’s a huge demand for that content, you re-upload it, people see it on their subscription feed, they click on it because this is a very talked-about thing,” Adam22 added.

Ish then asked Adam22 if the content he posted about Samuels was in a negative light. Joe jumped in and said “He didn’t slander his name, he just re-uploaded everything on Kevin Samuels in the moment that he died.” Adam22 then admitted to uploading content of Samuels as soon as his passing was confirmed.

Is Nicki Minaj Expecting A Baby Girl?

Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj announced her pregnancy last month via social media. The multi-platinum rapper is expecting her first bundle of joy with her husband, Kenneth Petty. While many are curious about the baby’s gender, it may have been revealed recently.

In a highly entertaining and revealing interview with No Jumper, socialite Celina Powell claims that Nicki Minaj is expecting a baby girl. One would ask how Powell would know such confidential information.

She tells Adam 22 that she heard it from Lil Wayne.

“I was with somebody and Lil Wayne FaceTimed him and they were talking about Nicki’s pregnancy. I was like ‘Oh my god!’ and I wanted to record the conversation so bad but I knew I would get kicked out and I didn’t wanna f*ck up my relationship with that guy.”

Celina Powell’s has a history of lacking credibility when it comes to truth. In addition, she is renowned for alleged relationships with several artists including Tory Lanez, Trey Songz, Tekashi 6ix9ine, and more. Powell revealed a prior conversation she had with the “GOOBA” rapper regarding Nicki’s baby reveal.

“He was like, ‘I think she just found out it was a girl.’ I was, like, playing it casual with 6ix9ine. I was like, ‘Did you know that Nicki’s pregnant?’ He was like, ‘Duh, she came to the shoot pregnant.’ And I was like, ‘Well, I bet you didn’t know she was having a girl.’ And he was like, ‘Yeah I do. I know the name of it too!’”

Celina Powell was asked if she knew the name as well. She stopped at the baby’s gender because she “don’t want no beef with the Barbs.”

Peep the full interview below. Nicki’s alleged gender reveal begins at 22:11.

Young Thug Feels Lil Nas X Should Not Have Come Out

Young Thug gives his take on a fellow ATLien.

During Pride Month, Lil Nas X came out to the world revealing he was gay. The “Old Town Road” artist received a ton of support from his musical family. Miley Cyrus said she was proud of his bravery after coming out. In addition, Irv Gotti stated that no one will have a problem with Lil Nas X coming out. The rap community, along with the rest of the world has progressed and accepts people for who they are. Young Thug had a different opinion about the Billboard chart-topper.

The Grammy Award-winning artist sat down with No Jumper recently and gave his take on Lil Nas X’s decision to come out.

“I feel like he probably shouldn’t have told the world, because these days—motherfuckers is just all judgement,” he told Adam 22. “It ain’t even about the music no more. Soon as the song comes on everybody’s like ‘this gay a** ni**a.”

Thugger has always been an expressive figure in Hip-Hop. He has remained true to who he is despite judgment from fans or anyone else. According to Irv Gotti, Rap as a genre has shifted into a judgment-free zone as an entirety. Of course, one can expect a few to lack the progressive mindset of acceptance. Although Thug offers his support, he sees people judging a fellow Atlanta artist for his sexual orientation rather than his art. Throughout all of this, “Old Town Road” remains number 1. Lil Nas X is only three weeks away from having the longest running number one song on the Hot 100 charts. If anything, judge him on his success.

Xzibit Recalls Moving To LA Alone As A Teen & The Likwit Crew Taking Him In (Video)

Falling on Halloween yesterday, the team of Xzibit, B-Real, and Demrick released the second installment in their Serial Killers series since 2015’s The Murder Show with the seven-tracked, Day Of The Dead. In promotion of the freshly released project, Xzibit sat down with Adam22, aka Adam Grandmaison, of the No Jumper Podcast to discuss the aforementioned project, X’s career, and an update on his current insights in the Hip-Hop scene today.

After Mr. X-To-The-Z discusses his understanding of the path that Rap has taken since he picked up the pen some 30 years ago, X reminisces about his own early days. Growing up in a military family, Xzibit admits he was no stranger to punishment as an angry, rebellious youth. X recalls a story in which his father ordered a massive pile of gravel to be dumped in their backyard. To reprimand Xzibit for his transgressions, his father would make him get up at 4 am every day with a shovel and a wheel barrel to move it from one side of the yard to the other (14:45). It was a punishment akin to a sequence in Cool Hand Luke.

Rhymefest, Xzibit & Jesse Williams Say We Rise Together Or We Fall Apart (Audio)

Despite his father’s call to obedience, Xzibit remained defiant of authority, but it was Hip-Hop that would become his escape. “My love for Hip-Hop was one of the outlets that saved me. It was one of the only things that I could escape with. So I would listen to the music. I would imitate the music. I would put on my brother’s Kangol [hat] with no shirt on and rap LL Cool J lyrics…It just drew me in.”

In this time, Xzibit moved from Detroit at age nine to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he began writing at age 13 under the name Xzibit A. At 17, Xzibit moved to Los Angeles, California alone to begin recording for the first time and burgeon his career in Rap. “When I first got to L.A., there was no cell phones going down. I had a pager. I had a contact of a guy named Jay Johnson who lived in Duarte, California. So he gave me his pager number and said if I’m ever in California to hit him up; he had his own place. So, long story short, I come to L.A., and he’s not answering the pager, so I go to Venice Beach. My first night in California I spent homeless on Venice Beach. I had a black-and-purple Geo Tracker, $3,000, some cross colored clothes, a Kool G Rap & DJ Polo CD, some Snapples, and an AK-47,” he says at 24:30.

Xzibit & Bishop Lamont Get In Battle Rap Mode For Their Brolic Video

Xzibit, who thought Johnson lived alone, came to find out he was living with his parents. After coming to terms with Johnson’s living situation, he gave his family the $3,000 as collateral for rent. Once he realized that the family and the people who surrounded him wouldn’t allow him to sell drugs like he used to in order to get by, Xzibit turned to music.

“I eventually moved out with James Broadway and 360, it was a group in Pasadena, and by that time I found a clique to roll with and kinda merged in with them. [I] met King T and the Alkaholiks from the 360 Clique, and one thing happened after another and ended up having a career from it,” said Xzibit. “The song that got me signed was on King T’s [IV Life] album; it was called ‘Free Style Ghetto’ (embedded below). I never made a demo. I never made a mixtape. They didn’t exist at the time. It was kinda just like word of mouth. I was just going around L.A. just eating MCs alive. It was these battles and sh*t that I would just go to Unity… and [Married With Children actor] David Faustino used to have this club called Balistyx that we used to frequent. But it was all MC based. L.A. had a really dope MC scene at the time, so everybody was cliqued up trying to go around and see who had the business.” (28:00)

15 Years Ago, Xzibit’s Restlessness Helped Make Him a Household Name (Editorial)

Later, Xzibit remarks, “It [the clubs] wasn’t necessarily about battling each other. Unity was the first place I got to see Wu-Tang [Clan], and Ol’ Dirty Bastard used to do a lot of solo shows there. It was the first place I saw Redman and Method Man. He would bring all of these dope MCs and bands out to play Unity, and all the local MCs would get to be on the opening bill. So that’s where I cut my teeth, and that’s how I got introduced to the L.A. market,” (29:30).

Although Xzibit isn’t from Los Angeles County originally, a la Nate Dogg and Kurupt, X’s place in West Coast Hip-Hop has been permanently stamped in history since his arrival. From his role in the Up In Smoke Tour to his critically acclaimed release of Restless, to his recent work as the Serial Killers with B-Real and Demrick today. In conjunction, be sure to check out the Serial Killers latest release, Day Of The Dead.
