Nivea blasted fitness influencer, Darrell Patterson for lying about the nature of their sexual relationship.
“Yep I messed [with] someone else’s so-called “man” and he pimped thee SH*T outta me!” the singer wrote, tagging Patterson’s baby’s mother after he denied what happened.
Patterson said his piece on his own Instagram story and claimed the Grammy-nominated singer “mistakenly” thought the interest was mutual. But Nivea had those receipts and didn’t hesitate to unleash them in a series of posts.
“Like I can always just go and listen to you sing to ONLY ME,” he allegedly wrote in the screenshot, referencing an unreleased track she sent him.
Darrell was expressing his desire to spend the night with her in another message and the pair discussed a virtual date that didn’t go as planned.
At the end of her rant, Nivea admitted that she cried in front of her children and Lil Wayne about her relationship with Patterson. “Ladies PSA, don’t mess w/ no one’s man or even “so called” man like I did,” she wrote.
The “Complicated” singer added, “Btw I didn’t write that song. Just sayin.”

Nivea was one of the promising R&B acts in the early 2000s after she released “Don’t Mess With My Man” and “Laundromat,” but they came to a standstill and the singer explained why during an appearance on Kandi Burruss’ On That Note.
Nivea shares a son with Lil Wayne and he persuaded her to quit her career.
“He said, ‘Come be with me. I got you,’” according to the singer, then added that she later informed her label that she was quitting music.
“I’m just sitting there, like, being a housewife… and you know, Reginae [Carter] was very young,” Nivea explained. “All of a sudden—this is kind of funny—he was like, ‘I ain’t never stay in an apartment before. Let’s get an apartment.’ So we move out the house and get an apartment but I never realized he did that to move Toya [Johnson] back in the house.”
Nivea previously shared another incident involving Lil Wayne where she was pregnant at the same time as Lauren London.
“While you guys were in a relationship, Wayne had two other children outside the relationship,” Vlad noted. The singer clarified that his oldest son was born before or during the beginning of their rekindled relationship.
She continued, “I found out the day I was confirmed pregnant with our son that he had another one three months ahead of me that should be expected three months ahead of ours. ‘I’m like wow.’ Then my mama died. So yeah, life,” she ended off with a lighter, humorous tone.
“Well, the other baby was with Lauren London,” the host clarified. “YES! I love you Lauren! Sorry I love her,” Nivea burst out before explaining how she felt about the rapper having two children outside of their engagement. “If this occurred before us and we’re now getting back together then why wouldn’t I accept that son if you’re telling me you want to marry me.”
Despite these incidents, Nivea has a good relationship with Lauren and Johnson, who both commented on the interview after she posted a clip.
“Love you. You are pure magic and strength,” London wrote. “Great interview. So proud of you,” Johnson also chimed in.

The Carter V had a number of notable features including Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, and Nicki Minaj. One of the most surprising features was from Wayne’s ex, Nivea, on “Dope New Gospel.” The track was allegedly expected to feature Drake, but of course, that did not happen. According to Tunechi, his verse was not able to clear before the release of the album. Nivea stopped by the Breakfast Club recently to speak on her contributions to Carter V.
According to Nivea, the song was written a year prior to the album’s announcement for release.
“We did that song a year ago,” said Nivea. “I wrote the hook and sent it back and he said ‘I love it!’”
After sending the song back to Weezy, Nivea claims she did not hear any word about it, until a month before the Carter V release. When Wayne called to inform Nivea that she had made the album, she was ecstatic. Although she has yet to be paid for the feature, she says there is no malice between herself and Wayne.
Nivea and Wayne were engaged twice, but called off the engagement both times. The “Don’t Mess with My Man” artist gave birth to their son, Neal Carter in 2009. Nivea says Weezy has never missed child support and has always taken care of her and their son. Hopefully, Wayne is not following in the footsteps of Birdman’s history of not paying people. As a result, she knows that she will receive compensation for her feature very soon.
Currently, Lil Wayne holds 19 of the 50 tracks spots on the Billboard’s Streaming Song chart. In addition, 22 songs debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart upon its release.

In the early 2000s, Nivea’s voice seemingly battled with Ashanti over who was controlling the airwaves. Now in 2018, Nivea is making a comeback but not after letting fans know exactly why it’s been so long.
On Friday (Sept 21), BET released the Finding Nivea mini-documentary that allowed the former Hip-Hop/Pop Princess to tell her story leading to her road to success.
“I started singing and trying to get a deal at 14. From 14 to 18 I was hopping from place to place to get on any hook I could. I finally put together a demo with like 36 songs from all the hooks I did and we took it to New York.”
Nivea also talked about her engagement to Lil’ Wayne and how the Young Money head honcho used his industry muscle to woo her.
“I met Wayne when I started taking off after the hit with Mystikal and Lil Wayne called my label and said he wanted to do a song together. When I got to the studio he told me he lied and wanted my number [laughs]. He would come to my shows and sit in the front row. We were so in love because it was like finding someone who understood you because we were both young in the industry.
Nivea also revealed that her choice to be a full-time mother is what halted her career.
“I love my kids, they are my air. If I would have gotten a nanny or sent them to boarding school like I was told, yes my career would be as big as their fathers but I have to be at PTA meetings, I have never missed a meeting ever for years. Wayne and Dream can’t come, so I have to, but now that they are older I am going to start making music again. I’ve already come up with a concept and it will be a dual disc. One side will be my face made up with long weave and it will be called Mirrors and it will feature me being real about my life like I am now. The other side will feature me without makeup and with my natural hair and I will call that Randy Watson because that’s my alter-ego [laughs].
