Controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s prison release date is now available.

According to the Bureau of Prisons Inmate Locator, the rapper, real name Daniel Hernandez, will be released on August 2nd, 2020.

His lawyer, Daniel Lazzaro predicted last year his client would be finished his 24 month prison bid around July 2020. He was just shy of that mark.

The rapper, real name Daniel Hernandez, rose to fame quickly from singles “Billy” and his infamous internet trolling. His rescinded his affiliation with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods and eventually became a top government witness.

His cooperation led to conviction of dozens of gang members with most receiving harsh sentences for racketeering. Tekashi faced 47 years in prison but the judge gave him leniency for his cooperation.

“Your cooperation was impressive. It was game-changing. It was complete and it was brave,” said Judge Englemayer at sentencing.

Instead he received two years from U.S. District Court Judge Englemayer in Manhattan Federal Court back in December 2019. Tekashi will be subject to five years of supervised release and hopes to return to his music career.
