Mixed Martial Arts star Conor McGregor is back in legal hot water after a video surfaced showing him punching an old man in a Dublin bar. The Irish UFC fighter reportedly hit the man because he refused McGregor’s Proper Twelve whiskey shot.

TMZ Sports reports:

The absurd attack went down at The Marble Arch Pub in Dublin on April 6. Conor walked in and lined up cups for bar patrons … looking to buy a round of his Proper Twelve for everyone. The problems started when the guy opted out. Conor placed a cup in front of him not once, but twice … and he still refused.

Unclear if words were exchanged between them, but after Conor downed a shot with the other drinkers, he unexpectedly threw his notorious left fist right in the face of the old man who rejected the booze.

Two people immediately grabbed McGregor and pulled him out of the bar. The violence was reported to cops, who announced back in April they’d opened an investigation. It’s unclear if that’s still active, but there are no reports Conor was ever charged — even though cops have reportedly seen this video.

McGregor’s tough-guy fade didn’t even knock the old man out as the outlet noted. Charges have yet to be made in the incident and added to recent violent acts outside the octagon that McGregor has been involved in.

Floyd Mayweather Won’t Fight Star Kickboxer, Will Star In Exhibition Bout

The combat sports world was taken aback by news that Floyd Mayweather was coming out of retirement to take on a young kickboxing talent. But Money Mayweather just issued a statement via Instagram stating he is not fighting 20-year-old Tenshin Nasukawa in a special promotion but did say he will appear in an exhibition bout.

This past Monday (Nov. 5), Mayweather, his business associate Brent Johnson, and Nasukawa appeared together at a news conference for the Rizin Fighting Federation. The bout between Mayweather and Nasuwaka was scheduled for Dec. 31 in Japan.

Now, Mayweather says he and his side were blindsided by details of the fight, this after stating he only agreed to put on exhibition rounds and not a full-on match.

From Mayweather’s IG:

First and foremost, I want it to be clear that I, Floyd Mayweather, never agreed to an official bout with Tenshin Nasukawa. In fact (with all due respect) I have never heard of him until this recent trip to Japan. Ultimately, I was asked to participate in a 9 minute exhibition of 3 rounds with an opponent selected by the “Rizen Fighting Federation”.

What I was originally informed of by Brent Johnson of “One Entertainment” was that this was to be an exhibition put on for a small group of wealthy spectators for a very large fee. This exhibition was previously arranged as a “Special Bout” purely for entertainment purposes with no intentions of being represented as an official fight card nor televised worldwide. Once I arrived to the press conference, my team and I were completely derailed by the new direction this event was going and we should have put a stop to it immediately. I want to sincerely apologize to my fans for the very misleading information that was announced during this press conference and I can assure you that I too was completely blindsided by the arrangements that were being made without my consent nor approval.

Mayweather has teased a return to the ring officially in recent months, including a potential fight with Manny Pacquaio.

UFC Boss Dana White Says Khabib Nurmagomedov Won’t Box Floyd Mayweather, MMA Only

Floyd Mayweather turned heads when he and UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov teased the possibility of a traditional boxing match between the fighters. However, UFC boss Dana White says Money will have to come inside the world of mixed martial arts if he wants the big payday.

TMZ Sports reports:

Floyd has said he’s 70% certain the two sides will get a deal done to box — he expects to make a 9-FIGURE CHECK if it comes to fruition.

But, when we saw Dana at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills over the weekend, he had an ultimatum for Floyd.

“Listen, if Mayweather wants to fight, come fight. You fight in the UFC. We’re not boxing him. We did that once. That’s over.”

Of course, Dana’s referring to Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor — which clocked in at the 2nd highest pay-per-view fight of all time. But, apparently, Dana’s not down for a second bite of that apple.

“You wanna fight? You come fight … a REAL fight.”

Mayweather has previously teased that he was training for an MMA fight — but it doesn’t seem like he ever followed through with it.

Nurmagomedov recently defeated McGregor and successfully defended his UFC Lightweight belt and has said he’s game to box with Mayweather for the right price. Tyron Woodley, the UFC Welterweight title holder, said he’d gladly train Mayweather for the Octagon and said the veteran pugilist could do well there.

Floyd Mayweather Wants The Smoke With Conor McGregor After Khabib

Floyd Mayweather Jr v Conor McGregor

Floyd Mayweather made short work of Conor McGregor in their 2017 boxing match, and is keen to rematching the Irishman once more for the right dough. But first, Money Mayweather has his sights trained on UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who wants to meet the boxer on his turf.

TMZ Sports reports:

“McGregor was talking that sh*t, so it ain’t over,” Floyd told us while shopping in Bev Hills this weekend.

“After me and Khabib lock up, me and McGregor we gonna lock up again.”

As we previously reported, Floyd says he’ll accept Khabib’s challenge and will fight him in the boxing ring sometime in the near future, because it’ll do “crazy numbers.”

Floyd says he expects to make a 9-figure check from the Khabib fight — and a rematch with Conor could be just as successful.

“I’m ready to go out there and get the job done and entertain. ‘Cause me and McGregor Mayweather was real entertaining. I gave people what they wanted to see.”

Floyd also says his fights with UFC stars are helping the sport of MMA — telling TMZ Sports, “I’m helping keep combat sports alive!”

Nurmagomedov is no slouch in the ring but he is more known for his wrestling and ground-and-pound tactics than his hands. Still, he said he outstruck the striker in McGregor and believes he’ll give Mayweather some go.

Who you have in that fight? Sound off in the comments.
