Atlanta rapper Offset is having a tough time feeling sympathy for Tekashi 6ix9ine. The hip-hop star has weighed-in on the jailed rap artist working with prosecutors in his felony racketeering case.
In a new interview, Off said Tek’s decision to turn his back on the streets could ultimately hurt him.
“My OGs tell me, ‘You get in that water, you better know how to swim.’ You a grown man, at the end of the day, you’re a grown man. Grown man make grown man decisions – you choose the streets and you go left on the streets, your safety is a problem now because you chose the streets – I don’t believe in that. I’ve been arrested a lot of times, 13 or something like that, and you take responsibility. Just like my album, I’m saying it, you gotta take it in the chest.” (Real 92.3)

Last month, rapper Meek Mill explained why he couldn’t support Tek anymore.
According to reports, 6ix9ine will likely avoid having to face the minimum of 47 years in prison by cooperating with prosecutors.
The U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York agreed “not to prosecute [69] for the crimes set forth in Counts One through Nine.” So, various crimes are off the books. In addition, prosecutors agreed not to go after 69 for crimes he told prosecutors about but have not yet been charged. The plea deal also says, “It is understood that the defendant’s cooperation is likely to reveal the activities of individuals and that witness protection may be required at a later date.” It’s unclear how much time prosecutors will ask for, but it appears the number of years may be in the teens … maybe even less.
