Rap hitmaker Metro Boomin might need a little – er – a lot of respect placed on his name in 2019. The hip-hop producer has reminded fans just how many classic albums he’s attached to from studio efforts by 21 Savage and Future to Big Sean and Offset.
Offset is looking to put the game on his back. Tweeting “PROMISE I WILL NOT LET U DOWN,” one-third of Migos is prepared to unleash his solo debut album, a couple of months after Quavo and Takeoff delivered efforts back-to-back.
We first received word that Offset’s album will be coming when he released a trailer during the Grammys that let us into his world. Not only will we get an album, but also a documentary. We also know that the February 22 release will be produced by Metro Boomin and Southside only.
Aside from that information, much is not known about the debut album from Offset. With the day approaching, it appears that we will continue to get reveals leading up to Friday. Be sure to check back for more information on the project. You can get your first listen courtesy of “Red Room.”
After ATL-based rapper 21 Savage was arrested by ICE agents on Super Bowl Sunday, many notable Hip Hop personalities took to their respective platforms to show their support for the 26 year old emcee who appears the be a victim of the recent crackdown on illegal immigrants.
Cardi B, Post Malone, Migos’ Quavo, Metro Boomin and others joined in on the fight to freeSavage, whose real name is Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph. Bin Abraham, who was reportedly born on the British-colonized island of Dominica, was arrested by ICE because of an alleged expired visa being that Savage is reportedly not a U.S. citizen.
Savage’s birth certificate surfaced online yesterday, which shows that the “Bank Account’ emcee was actually born in Newham, which is in London, where he lived with his parents Kevin Emmons and Heather Joseph until he was 12 years old.
According to speculative reports, Savage was entwined in an investigation into Savage’s cousin and fellow artist Quantavious “Young Nudy” Thomas, who was arrested along with Bib Abraham-Joseph on gang-related charges.

Metro Boomin is back to save the rap game. The super producer has been missing from Hip-Hop through a majority of the year and even announced his retirement, however, it appears the return is imminent as he tweets the tile of a project, Metro Boomin Presents: Not All Heroes Wear Capes.
Doubling down on the announcement, Young Metro hit Instagram, cleared all posts and shared the artwork. A fireball takes over the sky with the silhouette of a man nearly escaping. You definitely know Metro is the reason for the fire.
