Tamron Hall Getting Into Her Petty Bag Over Megyn Kelly Firing?

Harlem United Boulevard Bash

Tamron Hall was one of the brightest stars on the NBC News network, gaining respect in the media industry as one of the top journalists around. Since leaving the network, Hall will host her own show on ABC soon and it appeared that she might have been reveling in the firing of Blackface-loving former NBC News host, Megyn Kelly.

Page Six reports:

Tamron Hall presented Soledad O’Brien with the Community Champion Award at Harlem United, and O’Brien did not hold back.

“Tamron, you have a new talk show coming. Congrats for that,” O’Brien said. “But didn’t you used to do a show . . . The ‘Today’ show, right? And how were those ratings?” (Hall’s ratings were higher than Kelly’s in the same timeslot.)

O’Brien added, “And your feelings on blackface? Yes or no?” The audience erupted in applause and laughter while Hall appeared embarrassed, chuckling from the side of the stage. “Page Six TV” co-host Bevy Smith hosted the event.

Meanwhile, Hall reunited with her former “Today’s Take” co-host Al Roker at his “Waitress” performance after news broke that Kelly was exiting NBC.

The outlet was careful to add that Hall just happened to attend Roker’s Broadway show coincidentally on the day Kelly was let go. Still, how’s that for timing?

NBC Drops Host Known For Racists Remarks After She Made Racist Remark

Megyn Kelly is officially out at NBC. After massive blowback from her pro-blackface segment, NBC has cut ties with the host with a history of making racist remarks, for making a racist remark.

Go figure.

Today (Oct. 26), NBC announced the 47-year-old who just learned blackface is offensive will not be returning to Megyn Kelly Today, and there will be a different host come Monday’s show. How much the of reportedly $69M she is due she will receive is getting worked out.

Like we’ve pointed out before, Megyn Kelly is the same person who took issue with a Black Santa Claus and stressed that he is definitely white.

Flash forward to 2018, and surprise, Kelly acted like “what’s the big deal?” about blackface.

NBC could have save themselves a gang of money by not feeding the trolls. See Twitter reactions to Kelly’s ouster on the flip

Pro-Blackface Host Megyn Kelly Out At NBC?

Megyn Kelly

Ding dong, the bigoted witch is gone. Megyn Kelly is reportedly out at NBC after the backlash to her headass, all-white “What’s so bad about blackface?” discussion on her show.

Today’s (Oct. 25) episode of Megyn Kelly Today was a re-run. Yesterday, she issued a mea culpa which was promptly slandered as insincere by Twitter’s bastion of jig spotters.

The Daily Mail first reported that the 47-year-old who just figured out blackface is wrong was getting the boot.

Reportedly the latest incident was the final straw. TMZ reports that her own co-workers didn’t like her while her ratings have been slipping pretty much since she joined the network.

Now the question is whether or not she will be paid out in for her $69 million contract. Yes, that’s how much a news reporters who allegedly didn’t now blackface was a big deal is getting paid.

‘Murica.

Twitter Dogs Law Degree-Holding Becky Megyn Kelly Over Blackface Apology

Megyn Kelly TODAY - Season 2

Megyn Kelly got smoked online after being casually racist by saying she didn’t get the big deal over Blackface despite its well-documented racist past. The former Fox News and current NBC News host has since apologized, but Twitter isn’t letting her off the hook that easily.

Kelly was all over the news on Tuesday (Oct. 23) after stepping way outside her bounds to challenge the fact Blackface, which is the practice of blackening one’s face, isn’t a racist act despite the history of minstrel shows and the like. Kelly was gathered swiftly by some of her colleagues, including TODAY‘s Al Roker, who normally does not unleash the smoke on anyone.

Here’s where we remind you that Kelly once stated that Santa Claus, a fictional character can and only should be played by a white person so clearly her bias and way of thinking isn’t humanist in its approach. Twitter has been snatching up those blonde tresses since yesterday, and we’ve got the best reactions listed below.

Megyn Kelly Apologizes For Pro-Blackface Stance, Rethinking Views At 47-Years-Old

Surprise, surprise, Megyn Kelly has apologized. The NBC host with racist tendencies apologized to her colleagues for the pro-Blackface stance she took on Tuesday morning’s (Oct. 23) episode of Megyn Kelly Today on NBC.

Despite the swift and immediate backlash, it wasn’t a public apology, though.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kelly sent an internal memo today saying “my bad.”

She wrote, “One of the wonderful things about my job is that I get the chance to express and hear a lot of opinions. Today is one of those days where listening carefully to other points of view, including from friends and colleagues, is leading me to rethink my own views.”

Megyn Kelly is 47. So she’s saying after all this time, she’s just figuring out blackface is offensive.

In case you think we’re being hyperbolic, she also wrote, “I realize now that such behavior is indeed wrong, and I am sorry. The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep.”

Kelly also added the tried and true “I’m racist but don’t want to admit” fallback, she’s not “politically correct.”

“I’ve never been a ‘pc’ kind of person — but I understand that we do need to be more sensitive in this day and age,” she concluded. “Particularly on race and ethnicity issues which, far from being healed, have been exacerbated in our politics over the past year. This is a time for more understanding, love, sensitivity and honor, and I want to be part of that. I look forward to continuing that discussion.”

There is no discussion—blackface is inherently racist, full stop. Keep that idea handy for Halloween 2019 and beyond.

Law Degree Holder Megyn Kelly Doesn’t Get Why Blackface Is Racist

Megyn Kelly TODAY - Season 2

Megyn Kelly left Fox News for a high-paying gig with rival NBC News, a move that still has some wondering why she left the conservative and cushy job. Kelly reminded many folks that if she ever leaves NBC that Fox will be waiting for her after claiming she doesn’t understand why Blackface is racist.

The Hill reports:

“But what is racist?” Kelly said Tuesday morning. “You truly do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween.”

“Back when I was a kid, that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as like a character,” Kelly continued.

Kelly then referenced TV personality Luann de Lesseps’s decision to dress as Diana Ross with what appeared to be darker makeup during a premiere of “The Real Housewives of New York” earlier this year.

De Lesseps immediately drew criticism for the look, which many perceived to be blackface, and issued an apology.

Listen here, Megyn Kelly, and any other white person thinking that Blackface isn’t racist, just don’t do it. Black people have responded repeatedly that you can dress like a person of color WITHOUT darkening your skin. The racist past of the practice is reason alone to stop doing it, and best believe we’ll keep reminding you that it’s wrong.

Watch the clip of Kelly acting like she doesn’t have a law degree and good sense below.

Megyn Kelly Asks If Blackface Is Racist, Twitter Gathers The Bumbling Bigoted Becky

Megyn Kelly TODAY - Season 2

Source: NBC / Getty

Megyn Kelly is either a troll, a not so subtle racist or a simpleton—maybe all three. The NBC host who desperately wishes she could return to FOX, basically asked what’s the big deal about blackface

On Tuesday (Oct. 23), Kelly questioned if blackface was racist. Seriously.

“But what is racist?” said Kelly. “You truly do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a Black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween.”

She added, “Back when I was a kid, that was okay, as long as you were dressing up as like a character.”

Actually, it was never okay, Megyn. Blackface is a holdover from white supremacy used to demean African-Americans. We literally have to explain its profound racism to dolts like Megyn Kelly over and over again. And clearly, she’s an example of how some people just won’t ever get it.

It’s no coincidence the panel this discussion occurred on was all white, but at least Melissa Rivers mentioned it was a bad look.

Kelly then even used a white reality housewife’s Diana Ross impersonation fail as an example of a misunderstanding, not racism. Said housewife darked her skin, the “costume” would have been just fine without the skin darkening (blackface) caveat. But that little nuance seems to be completely lost on Kelly.

And this is where we remind Kelly is the one who had a problem with a Black Santa Claus.

So yes, once again, blackface is racist. We’re not alone in this understanding. Peep the dragging Kelly is currently getting on Twitter in the gallery.
