Mary J. Blige Announces 2025 ‘The For My Fans Tour’ with NE-YO and Mario

Grammy and Emmy Award-winning, Oscar-nominated artist Mary J. Blige, known as the “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul,” has announced her 2025 The For My Fans Tour with special guests NE-YO and Mario. The tour celebrates the love and gratitude Blige feels for her life, family, and devoted fans, and follows the release of her highly anticipated new album Gratitude on November 15.

Produced by Live Nation, the 27-city tour kicks off on January 30 at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC. It will hit major cities like Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York before concluding on April 14 at Boston’s TD Garden. The tour will feature fan favorites and tracks from her upcoming album. In August, Blige dropped Gratitude’s lead single, “Breathing,” featuring rapper Fabolous.

Fans can expect exclusive VIP packages and experiences on this tour, ranging from premium seating options to access to the VIP Lounge and exclusive merchandise. For more details, visit vipnation.com.

Ahead of the album release and tour, Blige will receive one of the highest honors in music — induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on October 19 in Cleveland as part of the Class of 2024.

Tickets for The For My Fans Tour go on sale starting with artist presales on Tuesday, October 1. Citi cardmembers can access presale tickets through the Citi Entertainment program starting Wednesday, October 2, at 10 AM local time until Thursday, October 3. General ticket sales begin on Friday, October 4, at 10 AM local time via LiveNation.com.

This tour marks a celebratory moment in Blige’s career, as the tour and album reflect her enduring connection to fans and her ever-evolving artistry.

Mario Responds to Omarion Stating His Team Sabotaged O’s Vocals During VERZUZ

Omarion is still reflecting on one of the most chaotic VERZUZ events yet. After the event was over, Mario was praised for his vocals, while Omarion was on the other end of the words from fans. In a recent update, Omarion spoke to WGCI-Chicago and stated the audio issue was because Mario’s team controlled the sound.

“Mario’s people were representing the sound in the beginning. So, you know, there could have been some level of sabotage there,” Omarion said.

Mario heard the words, and he wasn’t having it. “This guy man! How can someone sabotage your [vocal] chords bro?!” Mario wrote on Instagram. “Stop smoking bruv! That’s it fam! Some artists can’t do that! You not one of them.”

Meanwhile, Mario is currently dealing with some negative responses to his new single.

R&B Veteran Mario Goes Public With Girlfriend, Kris Stephens

Mario told us that he was off the market in an exclusive interview ahead of the release of his Closer to Mars album.

The R&B veteran made it Instagram official with his girlfriend, Kris Stephens, after showering her with gifts for her birthday. “Thank you King it’s so beatifulll,” she wrote showing off the ring her bae got her.

The “Let Me Love You” singer also gifted her a diamond necklace and shared a video of them kissing. “Love u,” the caption read.

In a separate post, Stephens wrote, “He is so sweeeeeeet! Like wow babe you really did all this?! Surprised me with this beautiful flower balloon bouquet, a chef, a trip, gifts… I love you so much!!! @marioworldwide”

She told Mario in another post, “Babe you really did your thing in the middle of a pandemic… Thank youuuu for your thoughtfulness, sweet words, and beautiful gifts I just love you so much”

Mario Talks 'Closer to Mars' Album, Upcoming Books, and Fatherhood

Mario released his latest musical effort, Closer to Mars, on Friday along with the sultry visuals for “Pretty Mouth Magick.”

The record introduces his “Baltimore personality” and was inspired by a bisexual woman the singer dated he told us in a virtual interview. “The record is basically saying I can f*ck you better than a woman could or a guy could,” the R&B veteran said.

The five-track project was delayed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and out of respect for the injustices in the world. He incorporated the record “Rewrite it” to stress the importance of us being in control of our own narratives.

“Each song is a completely different vibe,” he said and now the world can hear for ourselves.

Mario is quarantined, just like the rest of the world, in Los Angeles with his girlfriend and the lockdown made him realize something about himself. “I like relationships, I like the consistency … It definitely was a positive experience for me. It showed me a lot about shadow work with somebody and living with somebody.”

When asked about finally starting a family, Mario claimed he’s a father of three. It’s almost hard to believe because he initially joked that he had eight kids then clarified he had two boys and a girl.

Mario is in control of the information that’s out in the world about him, so it’s very possible for him to quietly start a family without the world knowing.

The 34-year-old is gearing up to release a book about spirit psychology. He thinks this information is more “interesting and valuable” than a memoir and he’s not “trying to relive different things.”

Mario is in a different space creatively and that’s apparent when you listen to Closer to Mars.

R&B singer Mario is digging deep into his personal life and sharing strong messages with his new “Care For You” music video. The new Khufu Najee-directed visual shows the “Empire” star playing a therapist reflecting on important periods throughout his childhood.

Care For You is a different kind of song, one that highlights Mario’s relationship with love as a man in this day and age. The touching video, directed by Khufu Najee, sees Mario going in a different direction, instead of professing his love for a woman, he’s speaking on the love he learned to have for himself, playing a therapist who’s reflecting on important periods throughout his childhood.

Top 6 Moments of NYC Stop of The New Millennium Tour

The New Millennium Tour kicked off and the NYC stop was definitely one for the books.

Chingy, Lloyd, Bobby Valentino, Pretty Ricky, Mario, and B2K graced the stage for a full house at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.

A lot of the attendees had on their best 2000s-inspired outfit as they took a blast to the past, vibing with some of the most definitive artists of that era.

The second night of the tour was filled with a couple surprises including a guest performance by Ashanti, and loads of crowd engagement. The New Millennium Tour is going on until May, so make sure you head over to G-Squared Events for your tickets because it’s only going to get better.

Here are some of the highlights from the NYC stop of the highly-anticipated reunion tour:

1. Chingy brought a fan on stage to do the chicken head dance as he performed his smash hit, “Right Thurr.”

2. Fresh off the heels of Trinidad Carnival, Ashanti joined Lloyd on stage to sing their collaborative effort, “Southside.”

3. There were a lot of women in the building and the Ying Yang Twins provided the vibes for the very much needed twerk session.

4. Spectacular showed off his gymnastic and bedroom tricks at the same damn time. Each member of Pretty Ricky had their solo moment to shine and Spec made sure to show up and show out.

5. B2K took the crowd through all their hits but things got turned up when J-Boog did it for Lil Saint.

6. Omarion reunited with Danielle Polanco to recreate the iconic dance scene from “Touch.”
