[WATCH] Maino Says Taxstone Caught Bad Break In Manslaughter Conviction

Screen Shot 2023 03 27 at 10.35.15 PM

Maino is adamant about Troy Ave twisting his version of the 2016 shooting at Irving Plaza that left one man dead and two others injured, even going as far as defending Taxstone, saying that Troy Ave thought he was going to get a Worldstar moment at the podcaster’s expense.

The Brooklyn rapper made his return to Angela Yee’s new “Way Up With Angela Yee” show and being an eyewitness, he contends that Troy Ave and his crew were the true aggressors.

The “All Of The Above” rapper said that he was with Uncle Murda, who were both scheduled to perform, before the melee broke out. Maino says that Taxstone was just enjoying the T.I, show when he trouble approached him. This was totally contrary to Troy Ave’s side of the story.

The shooting took the life of Troy Ave’s friend and bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter.

Check out what maino had to say below.

Today in Hip Hop History: Max B Found Guilty On Manslaughter, Robbery Charges 11 Years Ago

Screen Shot 2021 06 09 at 3.41.18 PM

On this date in 2009, Charles Wingate, better known as Max B, was found guilty of manslaughter and robbery charges from a stick up gone wrong on September 22, 2006, in which David Taylor was shot and killed execution-style at a Holiday Inn in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

Max, along with his girlfriend Gina Conway and step-brother Kelvin Leerdam, devised a plan to tie up, gag, and rob Allan “Jay” Plowden, but ended up shooting Taylor point-blank in the head when he returned to room 408 from running an errand. Taylor didn’t possess any of the money. Plowden called the police to report the murder and was discovered by the police attempting to remove $30,000 in cash from the room. He was eventually charged with identity theft and money laundering.

Max was originally sentenced to 75 years behind bars in 2009 but had his sentence reduced in 2019 from 20 years to 12 years and is scheduled to be released sometime this year.

Bronx Woman Facing Manslaughter Charge After Illegal Butt Injections Lead To Patient’s Death

Whalesca Castillo, butt injections, 2011 arrest

Although the procedure can be extremely dangerous, butt injections have never been more popular than they are now. One woman, Whalesca Castillo, had been capitalizing on the trend by running an illegal plastic surgery operation in the Bronx. Sadly, her shady career allegedly ended up killing someone and Castillo now faces a manslaughter charge.

The New York Times details her history of arrests in connection to illegal butt enhancements:

“She had been arrested twice before, charged with providing illegal silicone injections in the Bronx to women who wanted to enhance their figures. One client had texted Whalesca Castillo after a procedure, complaining of leaking blood and liquid from her buttocks and legs, court documents said. Ms. Castillo replied by suggesting her favorite method for stanching a wound: ‘Buy some crazy glue and put it on.’ Ms. Castillo pleaded guilty in September 2011 to charges related to operating a fly-by-night plastic surgery clinic without a medical license, and served a year in federal prison. Released on probation, she was caught doing silicone enhancement procedures again in March 2014 and was sent back to prison for nine months.”

This week, Ms. Castillo was arrested again in connection to the death of a woman by the name of Lesbia Ayala.

The site continues, “Ms. Ayala, 48, died on June 17 of an embolism after the police say Ms. Castillo pumped silicone into her buttocks and thighs. Ms. Ayala had traveled from her home in Philadelphia to Ms. Castillo’s apartment on Seward Avenue for the illegal procedure.” Castillo’s lawyer Robert Osuna stated he could not comment, as he had not yet read the criminal complaint. “We’ll have to see what the charges allege,” he said, according to The New York Times.

As for how she ran her underground operation, Castillo reportedly received “hundreds of bottles of silicone gel shipped in the mail from the Dominican Republic, marked in Spanish as ‘silicone for hair’ or ‘for body massage,’” the site states. She was charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and the unauthorized practice of a profession.

Suge Knight was Transferred to California State Prison to Begin 28-Year Sentence

Suge Knight is currently at the California state prison he could call home for the rest of his 28-year sentence, as per TMZ.

Suge arrived Tuesday at Wasco State Prison and from the looks of his miserable mug shot above, it doesn’t seem like the former music mogul is excited about his new spot.

The jail is in the middle of nowhere in Kern County, and has 400 beds. It’s definitely a stretch in comparison to what the former Death Row Records CEO was used to during his prime, celebrating in Hollywood with the likes of Tupac, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.

He’ll have to go through physical and mental examinations and review his records before getting settled at Wasco. Depending on the results he can stay there, or be transferred to another prison.

Suge Knight took a plea deal last month and was sentenced to 28 years in jail. He got credit for time served, but fortunately for him, due to prison overcrowding, he may be out in about 10 years.

Dallas Police Officer Accused Of Fatally Shooting Her Neighbor Is Fired

A white police officer accused of fatally shooting her black neighbor inside his own apartment was fired Monday for “adverse conduct,” the Dallas Police Department said in a statement.

Police Chief U. Renee Hall dismissed Officer Amber Guyger during a hearing Monday, according to the statement posted on Twitter .

Guyger has been charged with manslaughter in the Sept. 6 shooting that left 26-year-old Botham Jean dead. Court records show Guyger said she thought she had encountered a burglar inside her own home. She turned herself in three days later and is currently out on bond.

“An Internal Affairs investigation concluded that on September 9, 2018, Officer Guyger #10702, engaged in adverse conduct when she was arrested for Manslaughter,” the statement said. It doesn’t explain what that violation means.

She said when she put her key in the apartment door, which was unlocked and slightly ajar, it opened, according to the affidavit. Inside, the lights were off, and she saw a figure in the darkness that cast a large silhouette across the room, according to the officer’s account.

She called 911. When asked where she was, she returned to the front door to see she was in the wrong unit, according to the affidavit. The 911 tapes have not been released.

Suge Knight Reportedly Sentenced to 28 Years in Prison for Hit-and-Run Case

Suge Knight has finally struck a plea deal in his 2015 murder case.

TMZ broke the news just days before his trial was scheduled to begin. Several outlets confirmed that the infamous Hip Hop mogul was sentenced to 28 years after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter in the death of Terry Carter.

Knight was facing life in jail over a savage attempt at manslaughter that occurred in a Southern California parking area. Knight was blamed for intentionally running over Carter and Cle “Bone” Sloan following a heated discussion on the set of Straight Outta Compton. The incident left Sloan hospitalized and Carter dead.

Surveillance video showed the Death Row Records CEO hitting the two victims with his vehicle; nonetheless, he initially insisted that he hit them out of self defense and was just attempting to escape from Carter and Sloan.

As indicated by TMZ, Knight will get credit for the three and half years he’s as of now served. He will likewise be set on three years of probation following his jail release.
