LaVar Ball Says All His Sons on Roc Nation Could be ‘Explosive’

LaVar Ball has been pretty quiet since the Big Baller Brand empire came crashing down due to his business partner, however, we knew that wouldn’t remain for long. Now that all three of his sons have signed with Roc Nation, Ball is here to share his opinion.

The outspoken basketball father hit TMZ and detailed that the move could be “explosive.”

“If everything goes right, this thing can be explosive,” Ball said. “They said something I liked which is ‘Lavar, we wanna change the game. We wanna do something special.’ Now, that terminology right there means I’m supposed to be with you guys. Because my boys are special and like I said, I wanna change so it’s all good.”

LaMelo Ball declared for the NBA Draft earlier this week, which is set to put him the league with his brother Lonzo. You can hear it straight from LaVar below.

Family Feud?: LaVar Ball Calls Lonzo Ball “Damaged Goods”

LaVar Ball Calls Lonzo Ball "Damaged Goods" During Argument

Source: James Devaney / Getty

The Big Baller Brand dynasty might be falling apart already. A recent episode of the family’s Facebook reality show Ball In The Family highlighted the rift between LaVar Ball and his son Lonzo Ball.

Looks like we aren’t the only ones tired of LaVar Ball and his antics. Lonzo Ball who’s frustrations with the BBB has been well documented is also seemingly on the outs with his pops. Since his arrival into the NBA, Lonzo has failed to live up to the hype the patriarch of the Ball family created around him. His two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers have been mid, at best, and marred by injuries.

Plus on top of that, the brand that folks thought would revolutionize the athletic sportswear world, BBB has been looking real shaky as of late. After Lonzo accused Big Baller Brand’s co-founder of Alan Foster of stealing money millions from him and the brand. As a result, the only Ball to make it the league so far, distanced himself from the brand. He also covered up his BBB logo tattoo, and trash his signature sneaker the Z02’s in an interview.

In the latest episode of the basketball family’s reality show, the rift between father and son is even more evident. Lonzo’s disdain of his dad is on full display as he opts not to partake in any activities involving LaVar. He reluctantly shows up to a meeting about the future of the brand and feels the brand should be renamed due to scandal. LaVar vehemently disagrees and takes a shot at his son in the process.

“When I come up with a name, and there’s somebody telling me to change it, that’s like telling me to change your name. That’s like people saying, ‘Hey, change Lonzo’s name to Alfonso on the fact that he been damaged goods for the last two years.’”

Looks like the Lonzo is genuinely over the theatrics and when he starts over fresh in New Orleans, he would prefer his father not be around. You can watch the entire episode here.

No Cap?: Lonzo Ball Says Future Has More “Classics” Than Nas, Hip-Hop Heads Debate

Meadows Day 2 Performances

In more Lonzo Ball news, the Pelicans’ starting point guard is shaking the Hip-Hop table or shall we say bumping the DJ booth. The oldest Ball brother doubled-down on his Future hot take claiming the “March Madness” has more “classics” than Nas.

Lonzo Ball and this discussion about the Queensbridge legend and Future began back in 2017 when the NBA baller claimed: “nobody listens to Nas anymore.” Despite being hit numerous eye rolls, he doubled down on that statement adding: “Ain’t nobody bumping Nas no more, no disrespect to him. He had his time.”

This past Monday (Sept 2) the 21-year-old Ball added more fuel to the fire to the “debate” during an interview with Big Boy.

“I got no problem with Nas. I think he’s good, you know. … He’s obviously a legend, but I just don’t think his music is like that.”

He also added, “I think his music back then was like that, but I listen to it now… I’m not playing it. None of my friends are playing it.”

The radio host was taken back by his comments and pushed back, and Ball responded with a question asking what other classics Nas has besides Illmatic? The immediately stating that Future’s nine projects that are all held in high regard.

“But let’s really get into this, how many classic projects does he have? Honestly, ’cause people be saying he’s top five.”

Future put out nine projects in a row that’s all hits. Dirty Sprite 2 is one of the best albums ever. 56 Nights one of the best mixtapes ever.”

As you can imagine Ball’s comments have stirred up a debate among Hip-Hop Twitter some agreeing with Ball while Nas fans are or like hell nah. We are not shocked that a 21-year-old feels this away, but hey we are always here for a good debate about the culture. You can see all the reactions in the gallery below.

No Surprise: Lonzo Ball Admits His ZO2 Sneakers Were Straight Basura

Lonzo Ball Admits His ZO2 Sneakers Were Defective

Source: Thearon W. Henderson / Getty

Lonzo Ball has been an open book as of late. Earlier in the week he sat down with Big Boy and doubled-down on his take that Future has more classics than Nas. Now he is admitting that his BBB ZO2 signature kicks were defective.

Anyone could look at the sneakers and see they weren’t worth $500 and now the former face of Big Baller Brand finally admits to it. On a recent episode of teammate Josh Harts’ podcast, ‘LightHarted’ Ball revealed that shoes were “defective” and that his manager brought four pairs in a backpack because they would explode during games. Lonzo would switch them out after every quarter. Even though he knew that he continued to push the sneakers.

“No one knows the real story about them shoes. Them ZO2s I was playing in? They was not ready,” Ball openly admitted. “If you literally have those shoes from those, they’re exploded, bro.”

Zo even went further, implying that the shoe’s terrible quality directly impacted his performance on the court.

“It’s crazy, right when I switched my shoes, all of a sudden magically I got good again.”

LaVar Ball’s head must be spinning right now because he was pushing those shoes harder than his son was. When the shoe first dropped the BBB website claimed they were”meticulously developed at every stage by Lonzo Ball.” The head of the Ball family even went as far as to attack the critics of the sneakers. Who can forget his iconic “if you can’t afford the ZO2’S, you’re NOT a BIG BALLER!” Tweet?

The defective shoes are still up on Big Baller Brand’s social media accounts, but the store seems to have been shutdown. The once-heralded brand took a significant hit when Lonzo accused BBB co-founder Alan Foster of stealing $1.5 million from him. The Pelicans point guard even covered up his BBB tattoo. Looks like anyone who bought that sneaker might be looking at them even funnier now, we wonder if they would be able to get their money back? We sure hope so.

Lonzo Ball Appears To Be Throwing Shade At Lakers On New Song, Denies It On Twitter

Lonzo Ball Allegedly Disses Lakers On New Song "Last Days"

Source: Allen Berezovsky / Getty

Lonzo Ball isn’t only a professional basketball player, he also moonlights as a rapper as well. On a new track he shared, it would appear the point guard is still feeling some sort of way about being traded by Lakers.

Ball didn’t live up to the expectations his dad, LaVar Ball predicted for him before he even put on a Lakers jersey. After some very lackluster seasons in the La La Land, the organization included him in a package to acquire All-Star big man, Anthony Davis. While at the time he seemed very optimistic at the idea of throwing lobs to Zion Williamson, it would appear he still is a bit salty about the trade.

On a new song titled “Last Days” off his latest project Born 2 Ball, he touches on the events that led him to be a Pelican. Twitter users quickly assumed Ball was dissing the Lakers when he stated:

“You know I’m all about business LA is going to regret their decision.”

Ball picked up on the rumblings and responded via his social media accounts claiming he was not dissing his former team.

“I’m not dissing anybody I loved my time in LA. I use my music as an outlet to express things that happen in my life #50and30 out now! Let me know y’all favorite track.”

Well maybe he is just using it as fuel to motivate himself next season, but it sure does sound like he’s putting someone on notice. You can listen to Lonzo’s new song below.

SOURCE SPORTS: Master P Believes the Pelicans Got the Better End of the Anthony Davis Deal

The Los Angeles Lakers and their fans are heralding landing Anthony Davis in the purple and gold for the upcoming season. But if you hit up Master P and ask him about the deal he will tell you the New Orleans Pelicans are the clear winners of the trade.

“We got everything!,” the No Limit leader told TMZ Sports.

If you missed it, the LakeShow sent Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, the number four pick and more future draft selections to NOLA for AD.

The additions from the Lakers will be added to Zion Williamson who is presumably the number one overall pick by the Hornets in the NBA Draft on Thursday.

The Pelicans surely have more assets and weapons than before, however, the Lakers got the second superstar they needed to maximize the remaining years of LeBron James’ career. Seems like a win-win this way. But Master P said what he said. He has also expressed interest in signing Williamson to a sneaker deal. That likely will go to one of the sneaker titans and all sources are pointing toward Nike.

Check out the clip below and let us know if you think P’s hometown Pelicans got better than the LakeShow with the deal.

Lonzo Ball Explains Why He Quit The Big Baller Brand & Covered Up BBB Tattoo on ‘The Shop’

Los Angeles Lakers v Houston Rockets

Source: Tim Warner / Getty

After being the main star on his daddy’s Big Baller Brand baby, Lonzo Ball made a very public split from the embattled BBB a few months ago after he discovered $1.5 million had magically disappeared from his bank account at the hands of BBB co-founder Alan Foster. While most people thought it was just a bump in the road of the family business, Lonzo even went as far as covering up his BBB tattoo to put the final nail in that coffin.

In a recent episode of LeBron James’ HBO series The Shop, Lonzo Ball spoke about the jig that his old family friend Foster pulled on him and why it motivated him to sever ties with the family business.

“That’s why I covered the BBB up on my arm. Because like, when I saw that, I saw him and that sh*t made me so… Like I was tight… Like when we looked at the transactions, the sh*t didn’t start happening until my mom got sick. Because she took care of all the money sh*t. So that’s what really hurt me. That sh*t hurt me. I don’t even know what I’d do if I seen him right now. I ain’t seen him.”

Lonzo has every right to put hands on Foster but he should also be wary of getting hit with a fat lawsuit if he goes through with the on sight fade.

Check out the clip below.

LeBron James will make his presence felt on television this spring after all, but not on the court, instead he and Maverick Carter return to HBO with a new episode of The Shop.

The new episode airs on Saturday, May 4, and will bring in a must-see guest in his Los Angeles Lakers teammate Lonzo Ball. The starting Lakers guard is the first teammate to be on The Uninterrupted produced series. Lonzo Ball Sues Big Baller Brand Co-Founder For Fraud

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: MAR 01 Washington at UCLA

Source: Icon Sportswire / Getty

Lonzo Ball is suing Big Baller Brand co-founder Alan Foster for fraud. All the BBB skeptic are surely thinking, “We told you so.”

According to the Los Angeles Lakers point guard, the longtime family friend scammed him out of $1.5 million. Yeah, that’s enough to make anyone cut ties. In order to let you know it’s real, Lonzo even covered up his BBB tattoo.

TMZ Sports obtained a copy of the lawsuit, and from Ball’s allegations, they got scammed by a con artist.

The suit claims Foster got close to the family when he realized that Lonzo Ball was a top prep basketball prospect with NBA potential. However, the family was unaware that Foster had done time in federal prison for his role in a Ponzi scheme. The lawsuit also reportedly claims that Foster threatened to tell the media false information about the family once the jig was up and they confronted him about that missing $1.5 milli.

Nevertheless, LaVar Ball claims that BBB is not getting shut down. Good luck with that. Also worth noting, it’s been reported that Lonzo Ball and his father are estranged, which the latter also denies.

Lonzo Ball Covers Up BBB Tattoo, On The Outs With LaVar

Los Angeles Lakers v Houston Rockets

Source: Tim Warner / Getty

Big Baller Brand is looking absolutely dead in the water. It’s spokesman, Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball, has covered up his BBB tattoo.

The co-founder, Alan Foster, of BBB allegedly being unable to account for $1.5 million missing from Ball’s account is what made the hooper initially distance himself from the brand. Covering up said brand’s logo that he had not so permanently inked on his body is pretty much the deal sealer on that.

TMZ reports that Lonzo hit up tattoo artist Herchell L Carrasco to cover the BBB artwork with a pair of red and black dice. Can’t wait to hear what LaVar Ball has to say about that. There are rumors the sons are now estranged from their father.

If you didn’t see this coming, you haven’t been paying attention.

There is supposed to be a BBB All America game for high school stars in Las Vegas on March 31. We shall see.
