Beyoncé’s ‘Homecoming’ and ‘Lemonade’ Albums Hit Top 10 of Billboard 200 Chart

Beyoncé re-released her Lemonade album last week, which for the first time allowed it to be streaming on platforms now named TIDAL. The release has placed Queen Bey’s last solo effort back into the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

The release from Beyoncé marks the first time in her storied career that she has two top ten albums at the same time, the other being her Homecoming live album.

Lemonade will take the number nine position, while Homecoming is five spots higher at number 5. Billboard also details that her self-titled album, Beyoncé, and her double album I Am… Sasha Fierce also hold spots on the chart.

Homecoming saw a leap on the chart from its previous number seven slot. In the week, Homecoming moved 57,000 equivalent album units and Lemonade did 30,000 units.

Topping the charts is Billie Eilish’s WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? followed by Khalid’s Free Spirit and BTS’s Map of the Soul: Persona at the two and three spots, respectively.

Next week ScHoolboy Q’s CrasH Talk will make its debut on the Billboard 200. Any guesses on where it will land?

Beyonce Released ‘Sorry’ Demo and the Beyhive is Swarming

“You know you’re that b*tch when you cause all this conversation.” – Beyonce

Queen Bey has been making headlines all week because she keeps coming through with the content. First she released a surprise Netflix special, Homecoming, which was accompanied by a live album of her legendary Coachella performance.

If the Beyhive thought that was a treat, Beyonce made the classic album available on all streaming platforms in honor of Lemonade‘s third anniversary, in addition to all the new music she just released. The collection was available for purchase on other platforms, but fans could only stream it through her family’s streaming service, TIDAL. Of course that didn’t stop the Beyhive making it an award-winning and multi-platinum selling LP.

On top of opening the album to all streaming platforms, she slipped in the demo version of “Sorry” and the Beyhive can’t find their wigs.

Unlike the album version, the demo below portrays a more fed up Yonce singing an airy ballad about her man “running game on the wrong one.” The lyrics are pretty much the same but this version showcases Bey’s impressive vocal range with minimal instruments, instead of a dance track. It would’ve been hard for Serena William to drop it low if the demo made the cut.

But of course, you can’t please everyone and there were some folks who didn’t get the hype.

The Beyhive might as well leave their wigs where it’s at because as previously reported, Beyonce is gearing up to release two more projects with Netflix. There might even be some new music on the way.

Beyoncé Finally Serves LEMONADE To TIDAL’s Biggest Streaming Competition

Grammy-winning singer Beyoncé is finally serving Lemonade for all. Queen Bey’s epic album is now available on streaming giants Apple Music and Spotify.

Initially launching as a TIDAL exclusive, Bey’s hit-filled release is finally getting served to the entertainment platform’s biggest competition.

Three years after its release, Beyonce’s Lemonade album has been added to streaming services, including Spotify and Apple Music. The streaming version of the 13-track, Grammy-winning album includes an original demo version of “Sorry.” Lemonade, which dropped exactly three years ago, features guest appearances by The Weeknd, James Blake and Kendrick Lamar. Both Apple Music and Spotify went to social media this week to confirm Lemonade is now available on their services.

Despite Lemonade no longer being a TIDAL exclusive, the singer and her husband JAY-Z‘s streaming service still offers exclusive Bey content.

Last week, Bey’s Netflix special Homecoming premiered and features an up-close look at her 2018 Coachella headliner experience.
