DaBaby has been on grind mode since 2019 and now in 2020 dropping verses for Lil Nas X, Megan Thee Stallion, Trippie Redd, Dreamville and many more all while celebrating the success of his sophomore LP Kirk.

At the same time, the 20-year-old “Outside Today” rapper is just under a month removed from his Still Flexin Still Steppin project released late February.

Seemingly taking no time off, both artists might be plotting a new release in the near future.

DaBaby was also posted up with Wale, a post that the “Her Fault” rapper captioned “2020,” leaving implications that the duo may have something in the works.

DaBaby Bops Out of Jail, Teases New Music

DaBaby - Astroworld Fest 2019

Source: Kevin Rawls / Radio One Digital

DaBaby may have experienced a minor set back, but after his short jail stint he is showing he’s back to business.

On Saturday (Jan. 4) the “Suge” rapper was released from Miami-Dade county jail after posting $1,500 bond and hopped on his Instagram to not only share news of his release but also share some unreleased music.

”Think ima get back to Charlotte and put a 24 Hour Krispy Kreme Donut Franchise on N. Tryon🤔
No Cap😂,” DaBaby captioned his video.

Flexing several stacks of cash, DaBaby plays the unreleased track while flossing what many speculate is the $250,000 that was reportedly stashed in the Miami hotel at the time of his arrest.

As previously reported, DaBaby was arrested Thursday (Jan. 2) after allegedly, the rapper and his crew stomped out a promoter who owed the artist $30,000, but was apparently $10,000 short when it came to pay up. For the trouble, he allegedly caught the proper fade, got his pockets run through and got doused with apple juice. Reportedly, the promoter was liberated of $80, a credit card and an iPhone 7.

The “Babysitter” rapper appeared in court Friday to address a warrant out for his arrest stemming from an incident at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport last month where he allegedly attacked a food stand employee; but the warrant was ultimately dismissed. DaBaby is due back in court on Tuesday (Jan. 7) for the recent battery charge.

Although the Kirk rapper flossed a little initially, it was nothing but positive vibes with his follow up post as he shared a special moment that he had with Hip-Hop icon Diddy.

“Righteous Relationships only 💪🏾 @diddy #BlackExcellence 🖤,” DaBaby captioned the video that featured Diddy once again pouring love into the “Bop” rapper, while congratulating him on his accomplishments.

”I have to give a shout out to a young brother who’s always shouting me out on records and always shows love, “ Diddy said. “We done had lunch and brought the New Year in together; but check this out yo, tonight is your night. You’re the hottest n*gga in the game and we about to go in here and rip this sh*t down.”

DaBaby’s “Intro” Now Elligible for RIAA Certified Gold Status

New information from Chart data shows that DaBaby’s “Intro” from his new album KIRK is eligible for RIAA Certified Gold Status a month after the album’s release. “Intro” surpassed 500,000 sales on Thursday according to Chart Data.

The intro track to his sophomore album reveals a lot about the struggles DaBaby experienced on his way to stardom. He speaks on his father passing away, his mom’s cancer, and being poor while trying to blow up from his music.

KIRK debuted at #1 on Billboard when it dropped early October selling 145,000 copies in its first week. His single “Suge” recently became a Platinum-selling record which was on his debut album Baby on Baby which reached Gold status in the US.

DaBaby is using his new found financial status to help change lives.

Last week while making an appearance at his pop up in Atlanta, GA, DaBaby was greeted by a 22-year old fan who waited three hours to show the North Carolina MC some of her merchandise, but when Da Baby started asking about her inspiration; he received the shocking news that the young mother was homeless.

In a moment posted on the “Suge” rapper’s Instagram, DaBaby didn’t purchase her knitted creations, but instead gave her $1,000 and advised her to sell those hats to other customers. The fan was understandably overwhelmed with emotion, revealing, “This is my son, we are sleeping wild bro. Thank you so much.” According to the video, the 23-year-old and her son have been living in her Nissan Maxima for weeks.

This isn’t the first time DaBaby has helped out a fan in need. Earlier this month while in Washington D.C., DaBaby spotted children selling cookies and stopped to purchase them all, totaling $300, before giving them back to the kids to resell and eat.

DaBaby is definitely being blessed for his endeavors, the acts of kindness comes just a week after his sophomore album Kirk debuted in the number one spot on the Billboard 200. A bittersweet moment, DaBaby recently spoke with Billboard about losing his father and how he became the inspiration for his latest project.

“Trying to drop this album and dedicating it to him, the cover being a baby picture and the shit being on billboards in Times Square, being able to tell the world my story—and they’re so interested, too?” DaBaby said. “Like the whole world is interested in how influential my pops was to me. This sh*t right here been more therapeutic than anything.”

DaBaby also dropped the news of an 11 city tour with Stunna 4 Vegas that is scheduled to kick off November 16 in Minneapolis at Myth Live before wrapping up on December 21 in Dallas, Tx.

Check out the tour dates below.
