“We’re excited to have Karen Civil a part of the Young Money Team,” states Lil Wayne in the official press release. “It’s impossible to think of an area of the business of entertainment that Karen hasn’t touched or made an impact in. We look forward to the continued growth of the YM roster and talent.”

Civil’s history with Weezy F. Baby dates back to 2010 when Civil — at the time a Lil Wayne fan blogger — created WeezyThanxYou.com, which served as a website for Lil Wayne to communicate with his fans while he was serving a one-year sentence for possession of a firearm arrest in 2008. Going on to become a premier digital media marketing strategist, Civil would be best known for her impressive a-list roster, which included YG, Nipsey Hussle, Mac Miller, Nicki Minaj and more. Outside branding and marketing, Civil is a philanthropist who was awarded the key to her hometown of Elizabeth, New Jersey, and host of a variety of digital series, the latest being a short-lived co-hosted podcast with best friend Ming Lee, titled Girl, I Guess, on the Joe Budden Network.

“Working with Wayne and Mack Maine throughout the years has always been an amazing privilege and now I’m thrilled to enter this new role as GM/EVP,” said Civil in a released statement.

Young Money Entertainment was founded by Lil Wayne and longtime friend and rapper Mack Maine in 2005. Under the imprint, Wayne has produced the biggest stars in today’s pop culture, Drake and Nicki Minaj, `14 number-one albums, and a roster of Billboard chart-topping acts such as Tyga, Corey Gunz, Lil Twist and Guddah Guddah.

Civil’s announcement comes after the postponement announcement of Lil Wayne’s annual Lil Weezyana Fest, which will now be held on October 29th in New Orleans, Louisana, featuring a headlining performance by Lil Wayne himself, with additional performances by Moneybagg Yo, Coi Leray, Babyface Ray and Rob49.

Freddie Gibbs Reacts To Karen Civil Drama: “She Knows Better”

[WATCH] Freddie Gibbs Spits NBA Finals Freestyle

Freddie Gibbs is quite familiar with Karen Civil but has a different experience from her recent accusers.

Over the weekend, Clubhouse and Twitter were filled with reactions to Karen Civil’s accusations. It all began when Joyner Lucas took to Twitter, alleging that the “Marketing Maven” stole $60,000 from.

“After you was paid you went ghost and didn’t expect me to pop. here I am,” tweeted Joyner.

Civil later released a statement, saying that she contacted The Breakfast Club host, Charlamagne The God, in order for the two to have a private conversation. Joyner opted out and later confronted her on the Clubhouse app.

While all of this has transpired over the course of the weekend, Freddie Gibbs stepped in to give his onion of the matter, saying he’s known Karen Civil for years.

“She ain’t do that sh*t to me tho cuz I’m a real a** nig*a and she know better,” Gibbs tweeted.

In addition, Karen Civil addressed her matters with Hollywood Unlocked founder, Jason Lee as well as comedian Jessie Woo. With Lee’s situation Civil admitted to hiring a hacker to take down Hollywood Unlocked‘s Instagram account. For Jessie Woo, their situation has turned to a legal matter, where Civil has served Woo with a lawsuit.

Reggie Bush Started GoFundMe For Nipsey Hussle’s Kids, Karen Civil Gets Him To Shut It Down At Family’s Behest

The death of Nipsey Hussle has impacted many, even those that didn’t really know him at all. Case in point with Reggie Bush, the retired NFL athlete, felt the need to start a GoFundMe page to help the late rappers two children—but Nip’s business partner Karen Civil quickly shut that down.

Bush announced he was starting the “Nipsey Legacy Fund” and kicked things off by pledging $10,000 hoping his followers and friends will help raise the other $90,000. While this was a noble act on his part, it would seem the former NFL running back did not have permission from Hussle’s family to start the GoFundMe page.

On Saturday (Apr.13) Civil tweeted Bush asking him to remove the page telling the former New Orleans Saint that he was overstepping. She revealed that he did ask for permission, but the family said no, he went and did it anyway. Bush did remove the page but did not remove the Tweet from off his timeline sparking the business maven to tell him to take it down.

“Please remove this tweet as this was privately asked of you already. The family nor Lauren requested this and you did it anyway”

Bush replied back stating he only did it as an act of kindness.

“Wait what???  Nah that’s actually INCORRECT check your facts what would I gain from this ?And this is the very last time I will speak on it out of RESPECT for everyone! God Bless you!”

Civil retorted the kind gesture was appreciated but he should have also respected the family’s wishes.

“I never spoke on what you had to gain, Simply asked you to remove the tweet, just like you did the gofundme. You asked prior to do this and was told no by family, but did it anyway. You never once spoke to Nip in the gym the many times you saw each other.” She continued, “I understand you’re motivated and want to help, but there are other ways. His family already asked you NOT to do this. People are literally grieving over a husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and someone who meant so much too so many people. This is not the time for this.”

Bush did finally take down the Tweet, but he did point out he had someone’s permission to start the page.

“My time is already busy as it is I would never even put forth the effort to take on a project like this unless I got someones blessing!!,” he said via Instagram. “Come on now! That just sound crazy! Please CHECK THE FACTS! And YES I didn’t know him that had zero to do with the cause?🤔It was about doing something positive and giving back and paying homage to a man that stood for so much and was a leader in the community and over came the obstacles of the hood and made it big while never losing sight of where he came from! That is hard to do and a lot of young black kids never make it out of that!”

Karen Civil was instrumental in putting together Hussle’s beautiful memorial service at the Staple’s Center. If anyone would know what the family of the late rapper wants it would be her. Still, RIP Nipsey.

Karen Civil Reads Letter From Barack Obama at Nipsey Hussle’s Memorial

Barack Obama penned a tribute letter for Nipsey Hussle, which Karen Civil read during the Memorial service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The surprise letter came after a moving performance by Marsha Ambrosius of Mariah Carey’s “Fly Like a Bird.” Civil graced the staged dressed in an all white suit, with a blue handkerchief in the breast pocket. Representing her friend and business partner to the fullest.

In a shaky voice, Civil revealed that she was preparing to read words from the 44th President, and the crowd went wild.

“Dear Friends and Family of Nipsey:

I’d never met Nipsey Hussle, but I’d heard some of his music through my daughters, and after his passing, I had the chance to learn more about his transformation and his community work,” Obama admitted in the opening.

Barack Obama continued:  “While most folks look at the Crensh neighborhood where he grew up and see only gangs, bullets and despair, Nipsey saw potential. He saw hope. He saw a community that, even though its flaws, taught him to always keep going. His voice to invest int hat community rather than ignore it — to build a skills-training center and a coworking space in Crenshaw; to lift up the Eritrean-American community; to set an example for young people to follow — is a legacy worthy of celebration. I hope his memory inspires more work in Crenshaw and communities like it.

Michelle and I send our sympathies to Lauren, Emani, Kross and the entire Asghedom family and to all those who loved Nipsey.”

YesJulz Came For Karen Civil & Scottie Beam, Gets Gathered By Stringy Ponytail

Diddy Live At E11EVEN Miami

It’s the year 2019 and, unfortunately, YesJulz is still a thing. The so-called influencer and brand took shots at Karen Civil and Scottie Beam and that got the Internets to gathering up the culture vulture by her stringy ponytail.

YesJulz Goddard was a guest on the Easily Offended podcast with Murda Mook, ItsBizKit, and Movie Matt. In a widely-shared snippet of the podcast episode, YesJulz tries to explain the reasoning behind her asking to wear a shirt that featured the “N-Word” on the front and then demanded her respect for bringing Rolling Loud to prominence among her other claims to fame.

In that snippet, YesJulz was asked about who has been attacking her credibility and hse immediately went to the aforementioned Karen Civil and Scottie Beam, both who came ready with their own manner of smoke. YesJulz didn’t back down from the heat but it isn’t looking too sweet for her out here in these Twitter streets.

Check out the reactions to YesJulz mentioning Karen Civil and Scottie Beam by name below.
