Kansas State v Kansas

An epic fight took place Tuesday night (Jan. 21) between the Kansas Jayhawks and the Kansas State Wildcats, spilling out into the crowd before cooler heads prevailed. It all happened in garbage time as the contest was winding down and sparked by a Kansas player who didn’t particularly like the fact the ball was stolen from him.

ESPN reports that the rival squads were nearing the end of their contest on Kansas’ homecourt at Allen Fieldhouse. As the Jayhawks were letting time expire on the clock by dribbling around, Kansas State player DaJuan Gordon stole the ball from Silvio De Sousa. As Gordon raced down the other end, De Sousa swatted down the shot and then stood over Gordon in a menacing fashion.

Two Kansas State players took offense to the taunting and all hell broke loose. As a result, both teams cleared their benches, including coaches and other staff and amazingly, the gameplay was halted and had to be resumed so that the Wildcats could shoot technical fouls.

Things could have been much worse, as De Sousa began brandishing a stool and held it above his head before one of the coaches took it from him. Adding to what is sure to be severe consequences for both teams, De Sousa has already been the subject of an FBI investigation after it was uncovered that the forward was allegedly given $20,000 by an adidas consultant on the suggestion of Kansas Head Coach, Bill Self.

The NCAA has not yet announced what it plans to do in response and both respective schools are launching their own investigations.

Clout-Chasing Clown Cop Admits To Lying About McDonald’s Worker Writing “Pig” On Coffee Receipt

A clout-chasing police officer in Kansas resigned Monday (December 30) after admitting that a McDonald’s employee did not write the words “pig” on the receipt for his coffee. After the store reviewed the video of the alleged exchange, it was determined that the employee didn’t write anything.

As reported by local outlet The Witchita Eagle, the 23-year-old Herington Police Department officer claimed the employee wrote the insult and the incident was shared with the public via the department’s Facebook page over the before it was deleted over the weekend.

Herington Police Chief Brian Hornaday addressed the developments in a news conference, telling the throng of media that the officer stepped down after first stating that the employee allegedly wrote “f*cking pig” on the receipt. Chief Hornaday, recognized in the conference what how harmful the officer’s actions were in regards to police officers and their image.

“This is now, absolutely, a black eye on law enforcement,” Hornaday said. The chief added that the officer, who was just with the force for two months and was an officer with the U.S. Army, said that the revelation of the insult was meant to be a joke.

Given that tensions between the general public and law enforcement officials are largely strained for a variety of reasons, what the unidentified officer did in the name of humor could have brought down serious consequences on the employees of the McDonald’s in question. Chief Hornaday also all but stated that the officer will never work in that field again.

“Integrity is the one and only sole trait of a police officer that you cannot allow to be damaged,” Hornaday said. “Once you damage your integrity, you’re done. You will not work in this profession ever again.”

Snoop Dogg Isn’t Apologizing For His Spicy Kansas Basketball Performance

The saying you can’t teach an old dog new tricks rings true once again. Snoop Dogg doesn’t understand what the big deal is about his recent appearance.

Hot New Hip Hop is reporting that The Doggfather is shrugging off his critics who said his set at a Kansas Basketball game was way too raunchy. The performance in question featured the west coast legend rapping to his hits as he was surrounded by pole dancers, money and fake guns. While he didn’t blink an eye many patrons in attendance and alumni watching at home felt a ways forcing the school to issue a formal apology.

“We apologize to anyone who was offended by the Snoop Dogg performance at Late Night” said KU’s Athletic Director Jeff Long. “We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show.”

Well TMZ caught up with Calvin and he is not letting the criticism kill his vibe. “The audience enjoyed that sh*t,” Snoop said. “I don’t know what the f*ck they talking about.” And he also denies he was escorted out of the facility following the performance. “That’s a motherf**king lie. I had the time of my life. I enjoyed myself, hung out with the basketball teams.”

The “Deep Cover” MC went on to theorize that the school had no choice to say sorry. “I think it was more the publicity of what I did. they had to cover it up. And, I respect them, and I wasn’t gonna put no smut on their name and say they did anything wrong because they invited me to come do what I do” he explained. “And, when you pay for Snoop Dogg, you gon’ get Snoop Dogg.”

University of Kansas Apologizes For Sexually Suggestive Snoop Dogg Performance

University of Kansas Apologizes For R-Rated Snoop Dogg Performance

Source: Gary Miller / Getty

Someone has some serious explaining to do if they haven’t done so already. The University of Kansas is apologizing for a very sexually suggestive performance featuring Hip-Hop legend Snoop Dogg at its late-night event.

This was definitely not a good idea. While Snoop Dogg performed his hits, stripper poles were wheeled out on Allen Fieldhouse floor, and fake money fell out of the sky on the heads of recruits.

Oh, and we can’t forget the Snoop Dogg mascot with a giant fake blunt in his mouth as well.

Jeff Long, the Athletic Director at the University of Kansas, said on Friday night (Oct.4) that “we expected a clean version of the show.” Clearly, that was not the case at all, and somewhere down the line, there was a miscommunication because what they got was an R-rated experience fresh off the Up In Smoke Tour. Add this mess to the high-level NCAA infractions the University of Kansas is facing for sketchy recruiting tactics.

Long took full responsibility for the risque show and added in a statement:

“We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show. I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended.”

He closed things out by saying:

“We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening.”

The University of Kansas’ Late Night event is a traditional event and has taken place for 35 years.  It traditionally started out as a scrimmage to celebrate the return of the college basketball season before turning into a full-on entertainment spectacle. Uncle Snoop has not been the only Hip-Hop act to perform either, 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty and Tech N9ne also have performed at the family-friendly event.

This was just a whole ass mess, we expect there to be some repercussions for it.
