[WATCH] Jimmy Kimmel Apologizes to Quinta Brunson During Her Visit to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Jimmy Kimmel Apologizes to Quinta Brunson During Her Visit to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Late night host Jimmy Kimmel apologized to Abbott Elementary creator Quinta Brunson during his Wednesday night show for playing dead on stage at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday as she accepted her award.

Brunson won the Emmy for outstanding writing in a comedy series and Kimmel continued to carry out a bit on stage.

During Kimmel’s opening monologue on Wednesday, Brunson interrupted, holding her Emmy, cutting off his routine.

“You know, you’re a little bit early for your interview. It’s after the commercial,” Kimmel said.

“I know, but I have a little favor to ask, actually, Brunson said. “So you know how you win an Emmy, you only have 45 seconds to do an acceptance speech, which is not that much time? And then you get less time because someone does a dumb comedy bit that goes on a bit too long?”

She then used the rest of the monologue time to finish her acceptance speech, thanking fans, cast, and more. After the break, Kimmel spoke about the moment.

“I do want to explain this for those who may be confused by this,” said Kimmel. “That was a dumb comedy bit that we thought would be funny. I lost, and then I drank too much, and I had to be dragged out on the stage. And then people got upset. They said that I stole your moment, and maybe I did. I’m very sorry if I did do that — I’m sorry I did do that, actually. And also, the last thing I would ever want to do is upset you because I think so much of you, and I think you know that. I hope you know that.”

You can see the entire moment from Jimmy Kimmel Live below.

Today in 2003, former Death Row CEO Suge Knight appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! after his nine-year prison bid and made a shocking insinuation about the AIDS-related death of N.W.A. and Ruthless Records founder Eric “Eazy-E” Wright in 1995.

Kimmel and his crowd jeered and cringed as Knight chuckled at his cruel joke, while the late-night talk show host played it off with a one-liner about the terror level going up a notch after Knight’s mention of the gangsta rap pioneer.

The former Death Row CEO landed himself back in prison a decade following this interview. Karma is a bitch,

While Offset and Cardi B are two of the most popular Hip-Hop artists in the game there are quite a few fans both old and young who have no idea what the heck they’re talking about when they spit their rhymes. Luckily Jimmy Kimmel took it upon himself to explain what their lyrics mean in his latest installment of “New Lyrics for Old People.

In last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! the Hip-Hop power couple joined the late night host to spit lines from their collabo cut “Clout” while Kimmel attempted to decipher the rap ebonics into lily-white English. While Jimmy failed to translate words like “yayo” and Cardi’s sexual innuendos, he did for the most part do a good job of breaking down what Offset and Cardi meant to say in their lyrics.

Watch the clip below and try not to be too hard on Jimmy for slipping up on his understanding of rap slang here and there.

Megan Thee Stallion Hot Girl Summer Continues On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Megan Thee Stallion Performs "Realer" & "Big Ole Freak" On Kimmel

Megan Thee Stallion’s “hot girl summer” is showing no signs of letting up. Apple Music announced last month the Texas native was it’s latest ‘Up Next’ artist and last night (July 8) the captain of the boat took her twerking to network television hitting the Jimmy Kimmel Live stage.

If you were worried Hot Girl Meg wouldn’t be “wagging dat ass”  during her performance, we are happy to report she didn’t let her hotties down. She opened things up with her lead single “Realer” off her album The Fever before jumping into her booty shaking anthem “Big Ole Freak’ which lived on her Tina Snow project.

Complete with back-up dancers, singers, and her cowboy attire, Thee Stallion put on a tantalizing and sexy performance — that we have come to expect from her — that was still safe for television audiences. Last night definitely proved to millions of viewers that she indeed knows how to command a stage and our attention while delivering her bars that could make any “hot boy” blush or in Trey Songz case look incredibly thirsty.

The legend of Megan Thee Stallion continues, and we are so here for it. You can watch her entire Jimmy Kimmel Live performance below.
