24-Year-Old Rapper JayDaYoungan Killed and Dad Left Injured

According to reports, Bogalusa Police Department confirmed rapper JayDaYoungan, born Javorius Tykies Scott, has passed away from injuries sustained after being shot in his hometown. Reportedly the 24-year-old was gunned down Wednesday evening in his hometown while driving with his father. 

Authorities described another victim as a close family member, Kenyatta Scott Sr., who was critically injured but stable, police said.

The popular Louisiana artist, known for “23 Island” has received an outpouring of support online following the news. 

Bogalusa Mayor Wendy O’Quin-Perrette said in a statement that the incident was a senseless shooting and said her thoughts and prayers were with the victims.

JayDaYoungan Arrested Following Accessory to Second Degree Murder Warrant

While Cuban Doll and Jordan B are going at it over the rapper, JayDaYoungan seemingly has more personal issues to face.

The rapper booked as Javorius Scott, known by his stage name JayDaYoungan has reportedly been arrested this week. Alleged charges include accessory to second-degree murder and obstruction of justice in relation to a trail ride that turned deadly last year.

The shooting took place on August 8th, 2020 around 7:30 PM. Reportedly at least 100 people were around before the gunmen opened fire.

Tangipahoa Parish authorities confirmed JayDaYoungan had a warrant out for his arrest in connection to the incident. However the “23 Island” rapper’s role in this situation is still unclear.

Authorities state that in August of 2020 the situation left one person dead, and two others injured.

According to reports the altercation stemmed from beef between two rival gangs, which led to the arrest of several members.

This wouldn’t be the rapper’s fire run-in with the law. The rapper was also arrested in April and October of 2020 prior to this incident.

In February 2020, JayDaYoungan was arrested on charges of hitting a pregnant woman who had been hiding in an attic in Harris County, Texas, police said.

Deputies in Georgia’s Cobb County arrested Scott again last October on charges that he punched and grabbed a different woman.

Louisiana Rapper JayDaYoungan and Pregnant GF Arrested on Gun and Drug Charges in Georgia

In an exclusive story from The Shade Room, it has been confirmed that up and coming Louisiana rapper JayDaYoungan and his soon to be baby mama were arrested on gun and drug charges in Georgia and are both being held with no bond.

Youngan and his BM Jordan Brooks are not scheduled for court until December on charges of possession of narcotics, illegal possession of a weapon, and tampering with evidence. 

As for the child, this is the first child for the 21 year old rapper and Brooks. 

Youngan was arrested earlier this year in Texas on assault charges for hitting a pregnant woman, who is now believed to be the mother of his child.

The document from United States District Judge Engelmayer says that the court had received a request from Daniel Hernandez aka 6ix9ine for compassionate relief and that that had been denied. However, the document goes on to say, ‘…his application to convert the balance of his term of imprisonment to home confinement is now administratively proper’. (Capital Xtra)
