Before a beef between himself and Louisiana rapper NBA YoungBoy turned too serious, Houston hip-hop mogul J. Prince calmed the situation and realized where wires got crossed. Things had almost gotten bad after J. Prince publicly called YoungBoy “dumber than a box of rocks.” Beef Between J. Prince + NBA Youngboy Earlier in the summer, […]
In an unexpected turn of events, J. Prince and NBA Youngboy are trading words with each other on social media.
The Rap-a-Lot head honcho took to Instagram to upload a minute-long video responding to the rapper who told him to “mind your f*cking business, man.”
YoungBoy’s Houston home was recently robbed and Prince tracked down the perpetrators and retrieved the stolen items. But things went sour when Prince announced to his 500K followers that he has YB’s stolen items.
“It’s plenty ways to get in touch with me,” Youngboy said in an Instagram post. “Man, don’t get on no internet and do no publicly. Don’t do no dealing with no fucking publicity. None of that pussy ass shit. I’m good on them keys, gangster. When you buy that shit cash, two keys come with the car anyways. Mind your fucking business, man.”
Prince made his move in the ego war and addressed the “Bandit” rapper as “dumb boy” in an epic, OG read. “You’re a dumb boy with limited thinking ability and disrespectful” J. Prince said in the video. “Acting like you and your brother wasn’t down with me and letting it be known that you was Mob Ties. … You seem to be dumber than a box of rocks or you despise wisdom. What you should be mad about is the lie you’re living and the weak-ass security being sleep in front of your house.”
“Let me say this to you little homie,” he continued. “You not a friend or an enemy today. Let’s keep it that way no matter how hot it gets in Texas. By the way, I’m minding my business. You just too dumb to know Texas is my business and I will give you whatever you ask for. Good or bad.”
Do you think J. Prince should’ve hit NBA Youngboy up privately prior to making any social media announcements?
Music executive J. Prince has some things to get off his chest. The hip-hop mogul has come forward to share his issues and problems with NBA YoungBoy as their e-beef continues to intensify.
Prince x YoungBoy
Last night, Prince went to Instagram and didn’t censor himself. J. Prince went all out in roasting NBA’s state of mind and decision to go to war against him.
“You took my kindness for weakness because you’re a dumb boy with limited thinking ability and disrespectful. Talking slick and acting like you and your brother wasn’t down with me and letting it be known that you was Mob Ties. But I talked to your brother and I believe every word he said about you knowing. … You seem to be dumber than a box of rocks or you despise wisdom. What you should be mad about is the lie you’re living and the weak-a** security being sleep in front of your house – that’s free game I gave you but it probably went over your head. Let me say this to you little homie. You not a friend or an enemy today. Let’s keep it that way no matter how hot it gets in Texas. By the way, I’m minding my business. You just too dumb to know Texas is my business and I will give you whatever you ask for. Good or bad. I’m done.” -J. Prince’s Instagram
The drama ultimately stems from NBA calling out Prince on social media. YoungBoy told J to mind his business after an incident went down at his house.
“It’s plenty ways to get in touch with me. Man, don’t get on no Internet and do no publicly. Don’t do no dealing with no f*cking publicity. None of that p*ssy a** sh*t. I’m good on them keys, gangster. When you buy that sh*t cash, two keys come with the car anyways. Mind your f*cking business, man.”
Wait, There’s More
Everything started to get crazy after someone broke into NBA’s home. Prince ultimately came to the rescue to find out who was responsible.
Last week, Youngboy’s Houston home was broken into. J. Prince tracked down the criminals and made sure that the rapper knew he had the items that were stolen from his home. This didn’t sit well with Youngboy. (Complex)
Before You Go
Outside of the Prince drama, YoungBoy is currently gearing up to drop new music. The hip-hop star and fellow rap heavyweight Rich The Kid have a much-needed album on deck.
“1, 2 or 3???? 🤷🏽♂️ TOLD YALL WE LETTING THE FANS PICK !!! TIME FOR ME & TWIN 🤞🏾TO DROP ON DESE FOLKS 13 SONGS BY RICH THE KID & YOUNG BOY . NOBODY SAFE 7/ ?/ 2020 💨💨💨” -Rich The Kid’s Instagram
We have heard from Megan Thee Stallion and Carl Crawford but after his name was thrown into a lawsuit over a contract, J. Prince has issued a statement.
Hitting Instagram, J. Prince spoke to the allegations that he is “notorious in the music business of threats and intimidation” and his involvement with 1501 Certified Entertainment. In his response, he cites his experience with major labels and their tactics to steal and not cultivate talent.
“For the record we have no problem with negotiating with Megan but we do have a problem with dictators,” he said. “I find it very interesting that Roc Nation would allow their employee to sign an affidavit and statement full of slanderous lies on my methods of doing business when we have partnered together on several occasions. I don’t think JAY-Z is aware of this but only time will tell.
“Megan even though she signed an affidavit, talked down, and lied in court documents on me… I understand how lawyers brainwash artist to milk them of funds in lawsuits that they know they can’t win. Megan seems to be a perfect candidate for self destruction. Any artist in the music industry will testify that a 40% profit share is a great deal especially for an unestablished artist that til this day has never delivered an album.”
On Monday(Nov. 4, Pilar took to her Instagram to post pictures from the couples “Black Royalty” birthday soirée when fans noticed that Pilar was sporting a huge diamond ring on the finger usually reserved for engagement with the caption, “When you manifest the vision that others said was impossible … #blackroyalty.”
Fans quickly began to congratulate Sanders but before the champagne could toast, Pilar cleared up the confusion with a lengthy post letting fans know that when that time comes she would not announce the union via a shady post.
“Let me give u a clearer #pov your comments took me by surprise I must admit,” Pilar Sanders wrote. “And in the space of trying to figure out how my post saying “ When you manifest the vision that others said was impossible” Could be taken as me manifesting an engagement or even thinking it was impossible to be engaged baffled me. Then I realized this in fact needed to be addressed and cleared. Thankh u to all of my well wishers, however,… I did not announce any engagement to @jprincerespect – I would never minimalize an engagement announcement to a mere subliminal post, no one paid attention to the ring in question not being on the ring finger of my left hand but my right. tho a #prettylittlething it is, it’s definitely not the engagement status.”
Last year, Pilar Sanders spoke to The Shade Room, offering women advice on how to move on with your life after a messy breakup. During the interview Sanders shared with readers her mantra stating, “Life goes on and one monkey doesn’t stop the show regardless of how public or private the breakup is;” before confirming that she was in relationship with the Rap-A-Lot Record executive.
Even before Tekashi 6ix9ine was out here dropping dimes like he was in a State Farm commercial a la Kevin Love and became Hip-Hop’s most infamous snitch, he was rubbing people all over the rap industry the very wrong way and none could’ve been more problematic for the rainbow haired rapper than triple OG Rap-A-Lot boss, J Prince.
At the height of his success, Tekashi found himself in a war of words with the Rap-A-Lot shot caller due to some friction that went down between 6ix9ine and Prince’s son, J Prince Jr. and during his testimony last week, Tekashi revealed that he and his former gang, the Nine Trey Bloods actually robbed some Rap-A-Lot associates when they landed in New York a month after the initial incident. But according to TMZ, J Prince disputed 6ix9ine’s testimony and basically said that the Brooklyn troll turned snitch committed perjury by lying under oath.
The rap boss says he’s been warning everyone for awhile … that if Tekashi “keeps campaigning with dumb sh*t that he was gonna get elected! Election Day has come and now I’m hearing lies he’s telling under oath about robbing me or representatives of #Rapalot.”
J. Prince adds … “If him or any of those clowns were to try to rob me or anyone from the #Rapalot family bad news would’ve beat them home.”
For those who aren’t familiar with how the drama between the two factions got started, word was that Tekashi 6ix9ine and J Prince Jr. met at a clothing store in Houston and chopped it up for a minute. Later on that night Tekashi and his crew were denied entry into a Rap-A-Lot party and things between the two factions really went south after that.
In case you missed it … during day 2 of 6ix9ine’s snitch-fest, he detailed how his relationship with his former gang, the Nine Trey Bloods, began to sour.
He claims he was denied entry to a Houston gig in March 2018 by Rap-A-Lot peeps because he didn’t “check in,” and it cost him money. As revenge for the diss, the Nine Treys planned to rob J. Prince’s people a month later in New York … and Tekashi says they pulled off an armed robbery on Rap-A-Lot reps in the lobby of a building.
J. Prince says Tekashi’s version of events isn’t how it went down, and the gig he got turned away from was his son’s party … because they simply didn’t want him there.
He says … “Let this be a lesson to those who know better to do better because there was never a question mark in my mind that this kid #takashi69 was rat material that’s why my sons didn’t allow him to come into their party. It was never about a rat checking in with us.”
Whether or not the two individuals were actually Rap-A-Lot reps is unknown but what we do know is that Tekashi ain’t never put that work in on the streets, but he knows who did and is letting feds know who they are.
A week after YBN Almight Jay was jumped and robbed in NYC, J. Prince successfully got his Rap-a-Lot chain back.
The mogul didn’t explain exactly how he got the chain back, but he confirmed the news on social media.
“Real recognizes real in every hood and has a way of connecting in spite of clowns and squares,” the Rap-A-Lot Records CEO captioned a photo featuring French Montana. “The homies from the Bronx, KT, @hocus45th and @frenchmontana kept it real with me and my son @jprincejr. Tho it was never about the chain, it was about the name that was built off of blood, sweat, and tears […] To @ybnalmightyjay I’ll be returning your jewelry soon Lil homie.”
Almighty Jay was hospitalized following the attack in a Manhattan building. The robbers ran off with money and his jewelry. The chain was later featured in a Zae Numbafive music video, but he denied taking the chain after J. Prince called him a “clown.”
“They Recently Bragged About Robbing The Artist YBN Almighty Jay Whom I’m Invested In,” he wrote in the post last week. “They’ve Robbed Him Of His Money And Jewelry Including A Rap-A-Lot Piece. So Therefore They Have Robbed A Piece Of Me.”
Zae and three of his buddies were arrested on unrelated federal charges, including attempted murder in the aid of racketeering. The men were allegedly connected to a fatal shooting of an NYPD officer in October.
J. Princedidn’t become a certified triple OG by way of lip service, and the cool, calm and collected mogul showed and proved that fact once again. The Rap-A-Lot Records honcho has retrieved the stolen chain taken from YBN Almighty Jay and the streets are showing their respects.
A week ago, Prince made a public call via Instagram to demand that the thieves who robbed Almighty Jay of his chain in New York be brought to street justice.
Prince tagged several Bronx notables as that’s where the jux occurred, and the blowback from the younger generation and online observers got disrespectful real quick. Unphased, Prince addressed the entertainers he tagged and the down-talkers in his usual fashion just a few days ago.
And in true OG fashion, Prince took to IG once more to let people know that his “mob ties” are very much a real thing and that he’ll be bringing the chain back to his young protege. It isn’t known what Prince did to make this happen but the less we know, the better.
Rap-A-Lot Records head J Prince has come forward to keep things 100. The hip-hop executive has clarified the reason he tagged a slew of rap entertainers in an effort to find the people responsible for assaulting his protégé YBN Almighty Jay.
Prince hopped on Instagram this week to set the record straight and deny asking for their direct help with street matters.
YBN Almighty Jay was apparently jumped and robbed while in New York City on Friday night. The video of the attack surfaced early Saturday morning and quickly went viral. In the video, Almighty Jay is seen running from his attackers but getting caught more than once. The men repeatedly kicked him and were seen trying to snatch his chain and empty his pockets in the process. Although it has yet to be confirmed, there is speculation that this stems from an earlier altercation YBN Almighty Jay was involved in while in NYC. (VLAD TV)
According to TMZ, Jay got jumped inside a residential building in Manhattan on Friday (March 8) night. While footage saw him getting kicks and chased off, he reported also got cracked with a Hennessy bottle and was stabbed with some type of blade.
This is along with getting robbed and having his Rap-A-Lot chain stolen. Rap-A-Lot founder J. Prince has already sent word to his “mob ties” that those responsible need to be found.
According to Prince, someone from the Bronx named Zae is responsible for the jux that left YBN Almighty Jay hospitalized. Prince didn’t have to do much investigating since Zae Numbafive, or an affiliate, was on social media bragging about liberating the rapper of his chain. That’s the chain scene in his new video (see below) for a song called “Traumatized.”
However, Zae has since stated he had nothing to do with the stolen chain and does not have the pilfered jewelry, that appears in his video.
