Usher to Host 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Will he throw UsherBucks on stage? Usher has been announced as the host and as a performer for the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The show is set to air on May 27 on Fox.

Joining Usher on the performance list is The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak), Dan + Shay and Doja Cat. In addition, Taylor Swift, Roddy Ricch, Megan Thee Stallion and more will make appearances.

During the show, Chris Martin and Lil Nas X will present Elton John with the 2021 iHeartRadio icon award. The show will air May 27 live from The Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles at 8-10 p.m. ET live/PT tape-delayed) on Fox. The show also will be heard on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio app.

Cardi B Used Her Tongue To Say “Thank You” During The iHeartRadio Music Awards [Video]

Cardi B couldn’t make the iHeartRadio Music Awards, but she wasn’t a total no-show. In case you missed it, the “I Like It” rapper won the award for Hip-Hop Artist of the Year and thanked all her haters in a video shown during the annual ceremony.

“I gotta thank my haters, you know what I’m saying? Because y’all be saying mean things and y’all be thinking those mean things is gonna discourage me—but that just makes me go harder, because if everybody give me compliments, then you know, I get comfortable,” she said during her acceptance speech.

Cardi then left everyone wanting more, as she licked her trophy several times just before the the clip ended.

Cardi B Leads 2019 iHeartRadio Nominations with 13

With festival season flowing, awards are also beginning to pop up. The nominees for the iHeartRadio Music Awards have been revealed and are being led by Cardi B and Drake.

The Invasion of Privacy rapper has a whopping 13 nominations, including Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for her “Girls Like You” collaboration with Maroon 5 and nominated three times for Best Collaboration for the “Finesse (Remix)” with Bruno Mars, “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin and the aforementioned Maroon 5 release.

Cardi is followed by Drake’s who leads males with eight nominations, also landing in Song of the Year for “God’s Plan,” Male Artist of the Year and more.
