Fans' Ears Perk as Kanye West, The Game Tackle an Eazy-E Sample

Somehow between all of his traveling and dating, Kanye West is still churning out bangers. Ye teamed with Hit-Boy, who is quite busy in his own right, to produce a track for Hit-Boy’s forthcoming project with The Game.

“I’m JUST GONNA SAY THIS… BE READY !” videographer Kevin Wong captured on Instagram. “Man what I heard tonight Went CRAZYYY.”

He would go on to tag all three artists. “IF WE DON’T WORK. WE CAN’T EAT.”

In a separate clip, the trio and a group of guests, which reportedly included Alexander Wang, vibed to a new track that featured an Eazy E sample. You can hear it and see footage from the session below.

Nas Officially Releases “Life is Like a Dice Game,” Adding Cordae and Freddie Gibbs

spotify singles nas2

Nas is putting a new spin on the “Life Is A Dice Game” single, bringing in Freddie Gibbs and Cordae for features and Hit-Boy for production. The new single is a collaboration for RapCaviar x Spotify Singles and is A&R’d by Spotify’s Head of Urban, Carl Chery.

In 1993, Nas dropped the “Life Is Like A Dice Game” freestyle during the Illmatic sessions, which never was finished into a complete song until now.

Carl worked directly with Nas and his team to get Hit-Boy on-board to remake the beat and produce the track. Additional verses from Freddie Gibbs and Cordae were added to the mix, plus a new verse from Nas on top of the original.

“Spotify pulled out a leak from the 90s that I did eons ago, and asked if I could resurrect it,” Nas said. “I can’t remember where I recorded it, or who produced it – maybe Easy Moe Bee, he was killin’ the game at the time! Carl Chery from Spotify suggested we connect with Freddie & Cordae to bring the song new life and I loved it.”

In addition to today’s release, July is a big month for Nas, as he celebrates the 25th anniversary of his sophomore album, It Was Written (July 2, 1996) and the 30th anniversary of Main Source’s Live At The Barbeque (July 23, 1991), which marked Nas’s first recorded guest appearance.

You can hear the new release below.

DJ Khaled And Hit-Boy Campaign For Nas And Jay-Z Joint Album

Screen Shot 2021 05 03 at 1.06.27 PM

DJ Khaled and Hit-Boy are up to something.

Following their collaborative chemistry on DJ Khaled’s “Sorry Not Sorry,” many fans begin to ponder about a potential collaboration project between the Jay-Z and Nas. At this point in their lives and careers, the two legendary rappers have turned into esteemed businessmen. Their business moves became the base of their bars for “Sorry Not Sorry.”

Hov is well-renowned for Roc Nation, most recently Monogram, Ace of Spades and Tidal. With the latter two, he inked lucrative deals with both LVMH and Jack Dorsey’s Square. On the other hand, Nas has built a lucrative portfolio through his Queensbridge Venture Partners firm. He most recently celebrated his earnings thanks to a previous cryptocurrency investment following Coinbase’s IPO.

In the past, the two God emcees have collaborated on “Black Republicans,” “Success” and Ludacris’ track, “I Do It For Hip-Hop.”

A project brings forth a different type of energy. DJ Khaled and Hit-Boy took to their Twitters to advocate for a Nas and Jay-Z joint album. Khaled stated that the album would be a dream collaboration. Hit-Boy actually asked a fan if they wanted to see if happen. His statement insinuates that the possibilities are endless. The famed producer won Grammys with both rappers. Back in 2013, he took one home for producing Jay-Z and Kanye West’s”Ni**as In Paris,” while serving as the executive producer for Nas’ King Disease, which won the Best Rap Album Grammy this year.

A Jigga and Escobar project would send Hip-Hop fans into a frenzy. Until then we can just enjoy the records that they currently have together.
