Kodak Black pleaded guilty to a gun charge in upstate New York and now faces two to seven years in jail in addition to his federal gun possession sentence. It was reported that Florida rapper took the guilty plea for attempted second-degree criminal possession of a weapon in a Niagara County court.

Local news outlet WKBW Buffalo shared in their reporting that Kodak, real name Bill K. Kapri, that he has already been hit with a 46-month sentence due to the aforementioned federal charge. As it stands, Kodak will service the time from the Niagara County charge concurrently with the federal sentence.

While Kodak awaits a March 24 hearing for sentencing in Niagara County, he is being held by federal authorities. The charges stem from Kodak and his entourage leaving Canada and entering the United States back in April of last year. The group was held up at the border after a search turned up four handguns and some marijuana.

If no new time is tacked on to Kodak Black’s standing charges, he’ll be released around August 2022. If not, he’ll have to serve time in Niagara County if he gets more than five years.

Kodak made the news again after he reportedly assaulted a correctional officer while allegedly under the influence of drugs or some other unknown substance. The fallout from the incident has yet to be fully determined but could have an impact on his attempt to appeal.

Adding to his mounting legal troubles, the rapper still has a pending charge for rape in the state of South Carolina.

Coon Clemency: Kodak Black Asks Judge For Mercy In Gun Case

Kodak Black is finally playing nice with the legal system but it might be too late. He is asking for sympathy for an upcoming hearing.

Bossip is exclusively reporting that the rapper has pleaded to a judge that he be given the lightest sentence possible when it comes to his federal gun charges. The Florida native admitted to lying on a gun application knowing he was forbidden to purchase firearms since he is on bond for a rape accusation.

The website reports that last week his legal team filed paperwork asking the magistrate to only hit him with three to three and a half years which is the minimum for that level of conviction. His lawyers are alleging the crime was pure deception and not possession. They argue the “ZEZE” MC was facing death threats from rival gangs thus the need for firearms. Considering that the maximum sentence for his wrongdoings is 10 years, Kodak is at least thinking ahead.

The judgement is expected to be served this week.

While his rhyming ability and overall sanity was often in question Kodak Black’s has always been known to be with the ish. It seems the rapper had a bloody physical altercation behind bars.

As per HipHopDX the Florida native got into something at Miami’s Federal Detention Center where he is being held. WPLG Local 10 News is reporting that he got into a brawl with another inmate. In an effort to diffuse the situation a guard intervened but ended up getting injured in the process. The station is claiming that the correctional facility employee was kicked in the groin. While the injury does not seem too gruesome on paper the person in question had to be rushed to hospital to undergo surgery.

The “No Flockin” rapper was caught with weapons in March which he plead guilty to. He is waiting for sentencing which is scheduled for November 13. Kodak could face eight years if the judge hits him with the maximum.

Kodak Black has been at one with the struggle regarding the number of legal issues he’s currently contending with. After his arrest on federal weapons charges during Rolling Loud in Miami last weekend, the Florida rapper has pleaded not guilty.

Billboard reports:

U.S. Magistrate Judge Edwin Torres also granted the 21-year-old Black release on $550,000 bond with house arrest, although he faces other criminal cases that could keep him locked up.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Bruce Brown said Black was out on bail awaiting trial in a South Carolina sexual assault case — and that bail is likely to be revoked with these new charges.

Even with the possibility Black will be jailed there, Brown listed numerous other crimes the rapper has been involved in since he was a juvenile.

“Wherever he goes, your honor, there’s going to be guns, drugs and shootings,” the prosecutors said, adding that Black also might be at risk of fleeing.

Black did not speak at the hearing.

The arrest was part of an active weekend in Miami that saw three unrelated shootings that led to the death of two people.

While Blueface might have one of the hottest singles out right now, he has bigger fish to fry at the moment. The “Thotiana” rapper is facing years in prison after he was caught possessing an unregistered handgun.

The Blast reports:

According to L.A. County D.A.’s office, the “Thotiana” rapper was just charged with possession of a fully-loaded, unregistered handgun from an arrest on February 1.

He was arrested after LAPD rolled up on a large group of people he was hanging out with, causing everyone to scatter. Multiple people tried ditching their guns, but Blueface and two other men, were arrested.

The charge is a felony and carries a maximum sentence of 3-years in prison. It also comes on the heels of another charge the rapper was given for a different possession of a firearm.

Back in November, Blueface was busted in Santa Clarita, CA for his alleged involvement in a robbery and vehicle-to-vehicle gunfight. He was in a car that crashed into the center divider on the freeway, and he was arrested on a $50,000 bond for assault with a deadly weapon.

As for his November arrest, the 22-year-old artist born Jonathan Porter is due back in court this week and faces up to a year in jail for the misdemeanor charge of possessing a legally registered handgun.

Rainbow Not So Brite: Tekashi69 Says Gun Found In Home Raid Not His

Tekashi69 has become just as famous for his run-ins with the law as he is for his penchant for trolling. The colorfully-coiffed rapper’s attorney is saying that a gun found in his Brooklyn home during a raid is not his.

TMZ reports:

Tekashi’s defense attorney, Lance Lazzaro, tells TMZ … a gun charge would be a very difficult case to prove because the rapper doesn’t even own a piece.

We broke the story … Tekashi’s Brooklyn home was raided by federal agents, assisted by the NYPD, last week and they discovered a gun. It’s not clear what prompted the search, or who owns the recovered items.

Tekashi wasn’t home when feds busted through the front door, and 6ix9ine claims he moved out weeks before the raid … so his defense thinks it’s gonna be hard to link anything to him.

The outlet notes that Tekashi69 hasn’t been in New York for quite some time after heading to Colombia to record with Kanye West and touring in Russia among other endeavors.

The “Fefe” rapper is still facing a potential one to three years behind bars in the case of posting a video of an underage girl. Sentencing for that case will take place later this month on Oct. 26 in where he’ll learn his fate.
