Yung Miami Reveals JT is Being Released to Halfway House This Month

EBro Darden sat down with Lil Yachty and Yung Miami on his Beats 1 radio show to further promote Quality Control’s Control The Streets, Volume 2 album, which was released a month ago.

Yachty, who wrote the City Girls’ hit single “Act Up” cleared up the air that he’s not the voice of the Miami duo. “It was nothing behind it,” he said. “When I did it, I was just joking around. It was a joke. It wasn’t no secretive…it was a joke! I didn’t think they was gon’ really do it.”

Miami shared that she didn’t like the song when she first heard it, and admits that she’s still not a fan of it.

On the other hand, there have been multiple reports about Caresha’s other half, JT, being released and we finally have a concrete answer.

When discussing when the new City Girls album is coming out, Miami said, “I’m definitely feeling the love and the glow, but I’m ready to have this baby. I’m ready to get back to work. I feel like I’ve been pregnant for a year.”

“We’re gonna save it for 2020 when JT come home,” she said. “When she come home we’ll work on another album that we’re gonna drop probably for Spring Break. She gotta come home. We gotta record.”

Miami revealed that her rap partner would be released to a halfway house this month where she has to adhere to strict rules including a curfew.

Yung Miami of City Girls Enjoys Baecation with SouthSide in Cabo

New Couple Alert!

Yung Miami stopped by The Breakfast Club to not only promote Girl Code but to talk about relationships as well. “If you’re planning on pursuing me, why you can’t buy me a Chanel bag?” she says.

Yung Miami says usually uses the initial conversation to see where the guy is mentally for a relationship. The Miami native compared the finesse of industry guys vs regular guys and how she feels about guys spending on her. She used Quality Control’s CEO, Pierre “Pee” Thomas as an example. She says if a guy is pursuing her, he should be able to spend freely.

It seems like Southside has bought a couple of Chanel bags and has caught the attention of one half of the City Girl duo. In a Shaderoom “Baewatch” video, the 808 Mafia producer recorded a video of the two in Cabo.

It seems like everyone is open to and going on baecations to end the year. Although no official announcements have come from either side, the two look like they are enjoying each others company.

The City Girls rapper recently released their most recent project, Girl Code last month. The album featured Cardi B, Jacquees and Quality Control labelmate, Lil Baby. The album was promoted by the City Girls $25k twerk challenge, stemming from the Cardi B assisted, “Twerk” song. The winner of the challenged was announced last week, while they filmed the music video.

City Girls Unveil the Cover Art for Their Debut Album, ‘Girl Code’

A few after reports surfaced suggesting that J.T. will be released from prison in December, it would seem that the City Girls are hoping to keep up their melodic energy. On Wednesday (Oct. 31), the rap duo’s Instagram account posted both the cover and release date for the Miami rappers’ debut album, Girl Code.

The collection, which fills in as the follow-up to their Period mixtape, will be discharged on Nov. 16. “G I R L C O D E Nov. 16 The Album Dropping,” the IG caption reads.

The cover art shows Yung Miami and J.T. both laying on a bed in an all-white outfit. The words, “Girl ‘City Girls’ Code” is placed right on the top in bold red letters.

Taking into account that J.T. handed herself over for fraudulent credit card charges this past July, it’s safe to assume that they recorded a lot of music beforehand.

The Quality Control Music signees have made it their obligation to consistently release new music. Last Friday (Oct. 26), City Girls released the visual to “Not Ya Main,” from their mixtape. The music video sees J.T. what’s more, Yung Miami carrying on with their best life on a relaxed shoreline setting.

Aside from announcing their new album and being consistent, the rap couple released Point Blank Period, on Aug. 30. The 22-minute documentary shows exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of their rise to fame up until JT’s prison sentence. A piece of that popularity included being highlighted on Drake’s Scorpion track, “In My Feelings,” which was declared as the Most Streamed Song of 2018 Summer by Spotify.
