Florida Rapper Arrested For Murder After Saying He Killed A Man In His Video

Reports have confirmed that aspiring rapper 19-year-old La’Darion Chandler was arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in connection to a shooting death of a 33-year-old man following a verbal altercation in Lakewood, Florida.

Both Chandler and his victim, John McGee, have been classified as gang affiliated, with McGee, otherwise known as “Bang Bang”, just came home after serving four years in prison last year before he was killed by Chandler. McGee was expected to make a full recovery, but refused proper medical care and died 24 days after being shot. In those 24 days, McGee refused to cooperate with law enforcement regarding who shot him.

Chandler was connected to the murder by authorities after they discovered several social media posts and a music video where Chandler bragged about killing McGee. Soonafter, the “Hardcore Criminal” rapper was charged with first degree murder.

Gucci Mane’s Artist Mac Critter Arrested For Murder In Memphis

According to several confirmed reports, Gucci Mane’s artist Mac Critter was arrested for first-degree murder in Memphis, Tennessee, last month. He’d just signed to Gucci’s 1017 imprint two months before the shooting.

Critter, whose real name is Daniel Bates, was arrested for a shooting on December 21 that left one man dead. Bates was booked, had been sitting in the Shelby County Jail, and was officially charged with the killing on December 29.

A message was left on Mac’s social media page: “Mac said he will be home real soon some small to [a] giant.” The message continued, “He wanna thank all his fans for supporting him from day1!!!”

Murder Suspect Captured In SWAT Raid At Island Boys’ Home

According to an exclusive report from TMZ, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team raided the home of TikTok stars the Island Boys and arrested a first degree murder suspect in the Florida home.

Andrew James Thomas was arrested on charges of gun possession, violation of probation and first degree murder in connection to the drive-by shooting death of an eight-year-old girl. Neither of the Island Boys, Alex or Franky Venegas, were arrested during the raid, but Alex was there in the home when Thomas was taken into custody.

The report says that Alex Venegas told police that Thomas ran towards him holding a semi-automatic weapon with an extended clip when SWAT knocked at the door. Venegas claimed that Thomas asked him to hide the weapon, but he refused, so Thomas stashed the gun in a laundry rom closet where it was recovered by police.

The police say that it is unclear whether or not Thomas was living with the Venegas brothers or was just visiting, but the brothers alleged they had no idea that Thomas was wanted in a drive-by shooting. It has been confirmed that Thomas did grow up with the Venegas brothers.

According to Alex and Franky, their relationship with Thomas was “just knew him as a quiet kid and he would come and hang out and do his thing and go back to whatever he got going on but we had no clue about any of these allegations toward him.”

Father Charged In Killing Of Former UCF Star RB Otis Anderson Jr.

According to a news report from Jacksonville, Florida news affiliate News4Jax, the father of former UCF running back Otis Anderson Jr. was charged in his death after the star football player was shot and killed in their home on Monday(November 29).

Otis Jr.’s mother Denis said that the confrontation started after Otis Jr.’s girlfriend’s dog bit Otis Sr. After a verbal argument between the two whereas they had to be forcefully separated, another altercation occurred which resulted in Otis Jr. being shot in the chest.

Otis Jr. was pronounced dead at the hospital. He was 23 years old. His mother received several graze wounds, but was released from the hospital shortly after.

Yesterday, Otis Anderson Sr. was charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. He’s currently being held without bond. His next court hearing is scheduled for December 22.

Anderson played for the UCF for three years, rushing for 2,182 yards and 17 touchdowns, while catching 91 passes for 1,025 yards and nine touchdowns during his tenure. Otis Jr. participated in the L.A. Rams training camp earlier this year.

Skating Star Terry Kennedy Charged With First Degree Murder

Not long after the assault victim of skateboarding legend Terry Kennedy died, the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office in Illinois hit Kennedy with a first-degree murder charge, holding him responsible for the 23-year-old’s death.

The fight at an Oakbrook Terrace motel last week left Josiah Kassahun with a concussion and a fractured skull, which forced the DA to upgrade the original aggravated battery charge to murder after the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide. Kennedy appeared for a bond hearing after the new charges were filed, but the hearing was discontinued until today.

The famed skateboarder can possibly spend the rest of his life behind bars if found guilty.

Details of the incident are still unclear, but it has been confirmed that on July 27, Kennedy attacked Kassahun and then fled the scene. He was subsequently arrested and charged.

Multi-Platinum Songwriter J. Wright Charged With Mother’s Day Murder

According to several confirmed reports, songwriter Justin Wright aka J. Wright was arrested on Monday and charged with first-degree murder of his 20-year-old girlfriend Wilanna Bibbs in Iowa.

The 31-year-old multi-platinum songwriter who has written songs for Future, Timbaland, 21 Savage, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled and others remains behind bars on a $500K cash-only bond. Wright also asked for a court appointed attorney and explained to the court he was broke and living in hotels since the pandemic.

The killing took place in Davenport, Iowa on Mother’s Day(May 9). Bibbs, a North Carolina resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“They were dating and Justin manipulated and controlled her, she was trying to leave,” a family member of Willanna Bibbs allegedly relayed to The Neighborhood Talk. “His mother bought her a ticket to come back to her son.”

Wright’s Camp Entertainment Worldwide was launched in 2011 and became one of the premier full-service entertainment companies in the industry. It was also reported that Wright was mentored by R. Kelly in the early stages of his career.

Rapper Lil Dell Is On The Run After Getting Hit With Murder Charges

It seems that when Florida Hip-Hop artists talk that talk they mean it. One performer in question is now on the lamb for allegedly catching a body.

As spotted on HipHopDX is reporting that Lil Dell has booked it to an undisclosed location after being charged with first-degree murder. ABC3 Florida is reporting that the 19-year-old Pensacola musician, along with three other suspects, is responsible for the shooting of Elizabeth Harris at a nightclub back in May. His co-conspirators Tequan Warren, Markeasia James and Dante Walker were taken into custody last week.

Harris’ mother Tawanna Campbell expressed her sorrow for her child and the lives of the suspects. “It’s a lose-lose situation. These children have lost their lives, my daughter has lost her life and they’re going to lose family. I’ve lost my family. It’s too much” she said.

Born Cordellious Dyess, Lil Dell is also being accused of aggravated assault, possession of an altered firearm and criminal mischief. The Pensacola Police Department is asking anyone with any information on his whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 433-STOP.

Earlier tonight (Feb. 13), reports began circulating that Florida rapper YNW Melly and another man have been charged with first-degree murder. Melly was charged in the October 2018 death of two close friends which he tried to stage as a drive-by shooting.

Local outlet South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports:

YNW Melly, whose legal name is Jamell Demons, has been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the October 2018 shooting deaths of the men, aspiring rappers who had been described as his close friends.

Demons, is a 19-year-old rapper from Gifford, near Vero Beach, but who moved to Broward County as his music career began to take off.

Demons was the second person arrested in connection with the October 26 double slaying. Miramar police said Cortlen Henry, 20, has also been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Via Instagram, Melly sent a message to his fans and seemingly stated his innocence.

“To all my fans and supporters no I did not get locked up in Washington , but I am turning myself in today I want you guys to know I love you and appreciate every single one of y’all, a couple months ago I lost my two brothers by violence and now the system want to find justice.. unfortunately a lot of rumors and lies are being said but no worries god is with me and my brother @ynw.bortlen,” read the caption.
