Lizzo Claps Back at Jillian Michaels for Fat-Shaming

Earlier this week, health and fitness expert, and The Biggest Loser star, Jillian Michaels, came under fire for allegedly fat-shaming Lizzo.

On the Buzzfeed morning show, AM to DM, Jillian Michaels commented on Lizzo, stating that “Why are we celebrating her body? Why does it matter? Why aren’t we celebrating her music” She continued to say that “it isn’t gonna be awesome if she gets diabetes.”

Michaels drew heat on social media for her remarks but on Wednesday,
Michaels doubled down on her remarks by posting a statement on Twitter addressing
the controversy.

“As I’ve stated repeatedly, we are all
beautiful, worthy and equally deserving. I also feel strongly that we love
ourselves enough to acknowledge there are serious health consequences that come
with obesity—heart disease, diabetes, cancer to name only a few,” she wrote. “I
would never wish these for ANYONE and I would hope we prioritize our health
because we LOVE ourselves and our bodies.”

On Friday, Lizzo took to Instagram to respond to Michaels’ remarks.

Lizzo stated “At the 25-second mark I want you to take 5 deep breaths … in through the nose … out through the mouth .. today’s mantra is: This is my life. I have done nothing wrong. I forgive myself for thinking I was wrong in the first place. I deserve to be happy.”

Later,
Lizzo jumped on IG live to address Michaels again, stating “If my
name is in your mouth, so is my pu**y, bitch. Enjoy the flavor!”

Alleged Black Women Hater Dr. Boyce Watkins Tried To Body Shame Lizzo, Got Owned

Saturday Night Live - Season 45

Dr. Boyce Watkins has once again proven that he has contempt for Black women, this time he has target set on Grammy nominated raptress Lizzo.

On Friday (Dec. 20), Dr. Boyce Watkins decided to continue his continuous Twitter trolling of body shaming Lizzo to another level by attributing her success to the overweight and diabetic population.

#Lizzo popular is because there is an obesity epidemic in America,” Watkins wrote. “Rather than encouraging people to do better, we are simply lying to them and telling them that they are just fine the way they are. Unfortunately, Many of these people are dying from diabetes and heart disease.”

On Monday(Dec. 23), Lizzo decided to take to her Twitter to respond letting the controversial YouTube host know that her name isn’t the way to garner views to his fledgling show.

I’m popular because I write good songs and I’m talented and perform high energy hour and a half shows filled with love,” Lizzo clapped back. “The only person who needs to do better is you. Keep my name out ya mouth & look in the mirror before you come for me. Here’s the attention you ordered.”

Needing to do better is an understatement, prior to Lizzo’s response, Boyce Watkins continuously trolled her for more than a week. From calling her “fat and nasty” to comparing her to a “mammy”, Watkins was not only out of line—but disrespectful under the false guise of “looking out.”

”I am not making fun of #Lizzo for being obese, I used to be obese myself. But while my beautiful fiance made it clear she would love me unconditionally, she also loved me enough to encourage me to do better. #BoyceAndAlicia #HealthIsWealth #BlackLove

But Black love is the opposite message that Boyce Watkins continues to convey on his YouTube show. Before his uncivil attacks on Lizzo, Boyce Watkins attacked countless other Black celebrity women, including Tiffany Haddish, Erykah Badu and Young M.A., while remaining quiet to men in the same if not worse condition that the women he continues to publicly shame—see DJ Khaled.

In 2018, the patriarchal YouTuber called Tiffany Haddish a “walking minstrel show”, for her keeping it real personality, before adding Kamala Harris to his list for being in an interracial marriage. Of course fans and critics alike spotted the attempt to garner ratings by riding Haddish’s coat tails and called him out for his lazy attempt to slander Black women to garner attention.

Anyone with a brain can see that Boyce Watkins is using his apparent hatred for Black women to be the “slave” that he loves to call the celebrities on his “hit list”, because he’s using the very tactic that has kept Black people from unifying for centuries—division.

Despite his mantra that he wants to “make Black America great again”, Boyce Watkins farce has continued to show his insecurities through his problematic behavior of only attacking Black women, while being absolutely silent about major issues that truly affect the Black community. During his week of Lizzo slander, many people over looked the fact that the self proclaimed social commentator has also tweeted some very Hotep-esque tweets, including tweets seemingly supporting Donald Trump and blaming women for being victims of sexual assault.

“It’s odd when a woman goes to a man’s hotel room and then tells a #metoo  story that can’t be proven,” Watkins hoteply wrote. When I was a faculty member at Syracuse U, I always kept my door open when female students came by. Women should do the same: Don’t go to his hotel room. It’s not wise.”

Watkins’s ill-mannered attacks on Black women prove that he is not for the community but instead is out for himself. The less attention we pay to this basement vlogger, the more we can focus on bringing real change to our community.

Hate Is Life: Azealia Banks Thinks Lizzo Is Making A Fool Of Herself

Lizzo has officially made it. No we are not talking about the MTV Music Awards. She is now the target of one of music’s most spiteful detractors.

As spotted on Complex Azealia Banks has decided to throw her two cents on pop’s newest sweetheart. The Harlem native left a series of scathing comments aimed at Lizzo suggesting the singer is doing the jig for the man. “Lmao the fact that the public and the media has been keeping this fat girl joke going for so long is honestly peak boredom” she wrote. But wait the hate doesn’t stop there.

Banks, who hasn’t had a song buzzing since 2011 with “212”, also criticized Liz’s chart topping hit “Truth Hurts” and her swag. “The song is not good, nor is the dumpy fat girl spectacle live set she does. Saddest bit is that the girl is legit talented and truly only being allowed to shine so long as she allows herself to be this millennial mammy of sorts.”

She proceeded to also throw other artists under the bus and if we are reading this right puts herself in the same light as Beyoncé. “Like illiterate Cardi then fat Lizzo. They are really choosing the worst of the black womens crop to advertise America with,” she wrote. “I guess they saw us moving too fast with it because if you realize, after Beyoncé became political in ways they didn’t like the elite stopped giving her that top top spot and started cycling out these lessers like Cardi and Lizzo (even Lil Nas X trash ass buckbreak mountain anthem) giving them Beyoncé level accolades while both being no where near the level of black female excellence she is.”

Lipo Lyrics: Nicki Minaj & Kanye West Recorded A Song About Body Shaming [Video]

As he records his new album it is clear Kanye West has more than Donald Trump on his mind. The MAGA enthusiast has confirmed he will address some social issues with the help of Hip-Hop’s biggest female rapper, Nicki Minaj.

Page Six reports that the MAGA stan did yet another interview with TMZ. In the Q&A live from Africa, West gave some updates on his forthcoming Yandhi album; specifically that he has worked Nicki Minaj on a track about double standards.

“Nicki just rapped on a song that we’re talking about dealing with, uh, body shaming,” he explained. “This concept is a ‘Ye concept but I’m going to say it to y’all right now. I’m taking two stigmas at once. Because I love taking stigmas and flipping them to positive. Negative energy to a positive.”

The “All of the Lights” rapper went on to offer more details on the collaboration. “One of the stigmas is that men, the more people we sleep with the higher our score goes. With a woman, the more people they sleep with, people consider that to be the lower their score goes.”

This announcement is interesting to say the least when you consider the participating talent. In May he announced he had liposuction during his infamous in studio appearance to TMZ. “I got liposuction because I didn’t want y’all to call me fat like y’all called Rob [Kardashian] at the wedding and made him fly home before me and Kim got married.” Additionally it has long been speculated that Onika has had work done as well.

Originally scheduled for September 29, Yandhi is now set for a November 23 release. Aside from Minaj, Kanye has also confirmed Ty Dolla $ign is on the album.

You can watch a clip of the interview below.
