Dee Barnes Reveals She is Homeless and is Calling for Help

Dee Barnes was at the top of the world in 1989 when she became the first female Hip Hop reporter to host a broadcast TV show, and now she’s homeless.

The former Pump It Up! host launched a GoFundMe campaign this month asking fans to help her raise $5,000. “Right now, I am officially homeless. My goal with the campaign is to regain stability, which is imperative for survivors of any trauma,” she told the website HipHopDX in an interview this week.

Barnes explained she decided to launch the campaign because of the quote: “You can overcome anything in life, but you must first be willing to live in your truth.”

“I had never asked for public help before, but I then remembered a long time ago while I was going through the assault trial in 1991 people were sending me checks for my legal fees. I never cashed any of them — not one — but knowing I had that support kept me strong enough to continue to face each court date.”

Vince Herbert appears to be aligned deeply with the struggle, this after he was slapped with a pair of recent lawsuits. Herbert is facing suits regarding unpaid rent, which kicked off eviction procedures and for writing bounced checks.

The Blast reports:

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Vince Herbert is being sued by a company called NK Real Estate Investments.

The suit claims Herbert entered into a one-year lease over a Los Angeles condo back in December 2018. Herbert was supposed to pay $37,000 a month but allegedly did not pay in February. He was served last month with a three-day notice to pay rent or quit.

The company sued Herbert for the unpaid rent of $38,850, plus other costs.

The outlet also adds Herbert wrote a pair of checks totaling $10,000 to a woman named Dakota Sal, which she said failed to process.

Famous Miami Strip Club King Of Diamonds Has Been Evicted

Remember when Money Mayweather came through and dropped $100K in KOD? What about Beiber’s $75K?
As one of the most famous strip clubs in the country, Miami’s King Of Diamonds is known for it’s landmark location off of Highway I-95 and the place where the now famous Blac Chyna once shook her moneymaker. On November 1, the club was set for eviction after being sued for foreclosure in August.

Court documents obtained by the Miami New Times show that on October 18, King of Diamonds was ordered to pay its court-appointed receiver a total of $305,000 plus $85,000 the first of every month thereafter.

On November 1, the receiver, Kenneth A. Welt, said in court filings that he hadn’t been paid. Welt asked the court to evict the tenants.

This week, Welt’s lawyer, Glenn Moses, accompanied Miami-Dade police officers to permanently lock the doors of one of the most famous strip clubs and Hip Hop venues in America.

A Miami-Dade court named Welt the property’s bankruptcy receiver in June 2018. Welt then learned the club had been operating with potentially life-threatening code violations, including malfunctioning fire sprinklers. Miami-Dade County closed the building October 5 because of safety violations.
