Senator Elizabeth Warren’s Older Brother Dies From Coronavirus

Senator Elizabeth Warren’s brother Donald Reed has passed away from coronavirus. He was 86-years-old.

“My oldest brother, Don Reed, died from coronavirus on Tuesday evening,” Warren shared on Twitter. “He joined the Air Force at 19 and spent his career in the military, including five and a half years off and on in combat in Vietnam. He was charming and funny, a natural leader.”

Herring tested positive for COVID-19 three weeks ago and died at a Norman, Oklahoma hospital, The Boston Globe reports. 169 additional people have died in Oklahoma as of Wednesday. Herring also was diagnosed with cancer several years ago and was hospitalized for pneumonia in February.

George Zimmerman Files $265M Lawsuit Against Pete Buttigieg & Elizabeth Warren

George Zimmerman sues Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren over Trayvon Martin birthday tweets

George Zimmerman has managed to surface yet again, this time filing a $265 million lawsuit against a pair of presidential hopefuls over their tweets regarding the late Trayon Martin. Both Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg tweeted words of remembrance for the slain tween, neither of which mentioned Zimmerman’s known involvement Martin’s death.

NBC News shared in a report that the former volunteer night watchman filed the suit after a pair of tweets from Warren and Buttigieg that referenced the 17-year-old Martin, citing defamation as the reason.

As written in the lawsuit Zimmerman claims that Warren and Buttigieg “defamed Zimmerman for political gain in misguided and malicious attempts to bolster their standings amongst African-American voters, all at Zimmerman’s expense.”

The tweets took place on Feb. 5 and Zimmerman insinuates that Warren and Buttigieg aimed the messages at him by suggesting that the killing of the boy was propelled by racism.

This adds to a recent $100 million lawsuit that Zimmerman filed against the family of Martin along with the prosecutors of the case for a number of claims such as defamation, fabricated evidence and more.

The complaint, which was filed on Feb. 18, can be read by following this link.

Twitter Says Sen. Elizabeth Warren Dropped That “Ether” At Nevada Debate

The Nevada Democratic debate has concluded and, per usual, the experts and analysts are breaking down the event to the smallest element. If Twitter’s reaction to the debate is to be valued highly, many viewers believe that Sen. Elizabeth Warren dropped that “Ether” on Michael Bloomberg, Sen. Bernie Sanders, and the rest of her opponents.

Twitter fans woke early Thursday morning (Feb. 20) to see “Ether” trending, leading many to think the 2001 Nas diss track aimed at Jay-Z was being discussed. However, the track itself was being used as a verb to describe Warren’s showing at last night’s debate held in Las Vegas, Nev.

Sanders is currently expected to win the Nevada primary and while he wasn’t the star that his U.S. Senate counterpart Warren was in the debates, he certainly didn’t harm himself. Instead, it was Warren’s takedown of Bloomberg that astounded many. The former New York City mayor has enjoyed a number of key endorsements from notable Black politicians and celebrities in recent days despite Bloomberg’s record on policies such as “stop and frisk” getting exposed.

Some analysts believe that beyond Sanders’ potential clear path to victory, it’s being said that Warren has revived her campaign after it wilted in the wake of a spirited start. Other star candidates such as former South Bend, Ind. mayor Pete Buttigieg and the once-mighty former president Joe Biden showed they’ve clearly been in these fights before and Sen. Amy Klobuchar more than held her own.

Still, some are going with the stance that it was the Elizabeth Warren show and we’ve got the reactions from Twitter below.

As Elizabeth Warren continues her quest to win the Democratic Party nomination for President of the United States for the 2020 campaign, the Massachusetts senator will also endure deeper scrutiny. During a stop at Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club show, Charlamagne Tha God grilled Sen. Warren on her claims of being Native American, referring to her as the “original Rachel Dolezal.”

Warren joined the program Friday morning (May 31) and discussed a variety of issues but things went a little left when Charlamagne zeroed in on the senator’s past claims of native ancestry.

“You’re kind of like the original Rachel Dolezal, a little bit,” Charlamagne said. “Rachel Dolezal was a white woman pretending to be black.”

Warren was continually peppered with questions regarding the claim and before long, she conceded to the gaffe she made in making the Native American connection.

“I grew up in Oklahoma. I learned about my family the same way most people learn about their family, from my momma and my daddy and my aunts and my uncles, and it’s what I believed,” Warren retorted. “But I’m not a person of color. I’m not a citizen of a tribe, and I shouldn’t have done it.”
