Rap veteran Snoop Dogg is showing major love to retired NFL quarterback, Eli Manning. During an alternate broadcast of Monday Night Football, Snoop made an appearance on the show hosted by Eli and his brother Peyton. In the third quarter of the game, the Long Beach native gifted the former New York Giant with a Death Row Records chain for his 41st birthday.

“Eli I would like to present to you this Death Row chain for being so Hip Hop and being so hip. That’s yours baby, when I see you, you got that. I’m gonna put that around your neck. Happy 41st birthday Eli,” Snoop declared.

Eli, who was all smiles but visibly at a loss for words, thanked Snoop for the gift. Peyton Manning chimed in shortly after and suggested Eli wear the chain for the playoff game in two weeks.

Later on in the broadcast, Snoop showed love to the Manning brothers and applauded their talents on and off the field, adding that he wishes he were a part of their family.

Lil Wayne Warns Frank Isola and Eli Manning: ‘Keep My Name Out Your Mouth’

Its no secret Lil Wayne is an avid football fan. He has made multiple appearances across ESPN and  FS1 shows where he can comfortably discuss any sport with the likes of Skip Bayless and more.

However, during a recent appearance, he and New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr joined ESPN’s Josina Anderson. Attempting to make sense of Eli and big blue’s early season struggles.

Despite his extensive football knowledge, Eli Manning and reporter Frank Isola weren’t too receptive of Weezy’s presence in the conversation. Isola claimed he couldn’t take OBJ serious while he sat beside Wayne. Meanwhile, Manning seemed to be dismissive of Wayne altogether.

These days Tunchi is getting his business and order and doing well to show fans and critics he can still sit atop Hip Hop. Tha Carter V is finally out and so far, fans are pleased for the most part. Yet, it would be uncharacteristic of him to ignore his haters and naysayers, regardless of what form they may come in.

With this in mind, the Young Money boss took to Instagram to address the shady treatment he received. Standing firm on his words he looks straight into the camera without breaking focus.

“Frank, I know you in New York. I spent a little bit of time on an Island there, called Rikers Island,” says Tunechi. “I don’t know much about you though. Fact is, you don’t know much about me. With that said, keep my name out your mouth.”

Tunechi has always shown love to his New Orleanian brethren Eli Manning. “Like Eli, I’m from New Orleans, I’m a Giant in this bitch. Move the G and add an S and put the I before the N, and put the A in front of that, and that’s what I am to the end,” he said in Gudda Gudda’s 2009 “Demolition Freestyle.”

Addressing the Giants QB, he stated “Every time somebody bad mouth you, I be the first one to say – you can ask Skip Bayless, that’s my homie – first thing I’m gon’ say is ‘man listen, I got an uncle that was doing time that remembers seeing Eli, Archie, Peyton, Cooper, he remembers seeing them at five in the morning every other morning on the schoolyard, way before the students get there, practicing. I’m the first one to back you up,” says Wayne. “And here you talk about you don’t watch Lil Wayne much. That’s fine. I’m cool with you, I don’t care what you watch. But you know, this is hometown love, man. You ain’t gotta do me like that. I didn’t say anything bad about you, man.”

Showing signs of maturity he said “I ain’t gon’ say nothing bad about you now,” says Wayne, to Manning. “It’s still hometown love, I fucks with you Eli. It’s all good, you ain’t gotta watch much of me. You should probably listen, if you could. You probably need to with the way you’ve been playing. You need to bang some Carter V before games.”

“So now I want to say what I think about the whole ordeal,” continues Wayne, in the seven-part clip. “I think that you, you as in all of ya’ll, just a little bit upset that it’s not ya’ll who can get somebody with a number one album (thank God) and one of the greats on the NFL to sit down in a room together and get on camera and get such a great interview. For you Frank, I heard you also say that I didn’t say anything, that I was just a yes man. Frank, you should know that that was edited.”

1He proceeds to rip into Frank. Highlighting the genuineness his presence brought to the interview, which he says went to a “real” place. “Maybe that’s why [Odell] opened up like that,” says Wayne. “He was being real cause I was being real, and Josina was keeping it real. I think you were just upset you weren’t on the other side of the table asking questions. Because I don’t think you’d ever get the chance to do such a thing. Because if I, or Odell, were on the other side of the table of whoever you are, Frank, we probably wouldn’t even answer the questions.”

In My Feelings: Lil Wayne Snubbed By Eli Manning, Goes Off On Rant [Video]

Lil Wayne proves once again he doesn’t miss a thing when it comes to sports. Eli Manning inadvertently snubbed him and got put on notice by the famed rapper.

Last week during a Q&A with ESPN Weezy sat alongside Giants starter Odell Beckham Jr.. While the interview was centered around his team’s chances at a playoff run the wide out confessed he was not happy with their offensive strategy.

“I don’t feel like I’m given the opportunity to be the very best that I can be. I feel like I could score every quarter, if given the opportunity. I know those numbers could be double or triple that they are right now. I want to win. I want to be great. I feel like I can score every quarter, if I’m given the chance. That’s not the case” he explained.

Naturally, the criticism got back to the organization and their impact players were questioned immediately. When asked about QB Eli Manning used TuneChi as scapegoat of sorts to avoid the baited inquiry. “I don’t watch Lil Wayne much, so I missed a lot of him” he responded. Well that didn’t too well with Wayne.

In a series of Instagram posts, the Louisiana native addressed Manning and made it clear he was disappointed in the lack of respect Eli put on his name.  “Every time I’m doing an interview about you and somebody is about to … even when I’m in the crib and amongst the homies, every time someone says something bad about you, I be the first one to [defend you].”

Weezy went on to express his frustration considering Manning is also from New Orleans. “And here you’re talking about you don’t watch Lil Wayne much. That’s fine. I’m cool with you. I don’t care what you watch, what you listen to, nothing like that. But come on, man, the hometown love — why you gotta do me like that, man? I didn’t say anything bad about you, man. So I’m not going to say anything bad about you now.” It seems the rant got back to the Giants as they played three Lil Wayne songs at their practice on Tuesday.

This is not the first time Weezy has expressed his resentment with professional athletes. Back in 2011 he claimed that the Miami Heat were not showing him love even though he was a floor seat ticket holder.

Lil Wayne Claps Back At Eli Manning & NY Reporter After Odell Beckham Interview: “You Mentioned My Name – I’m Going To Fire Back At You”

Lil Wayne

Young Money’s Lil Wayne is really riding for Odell Beckham Jr. The hip-hop heavyweight has shared some heartfelt words following a televised interview alongside the NFL superstar.

Weezy F. Baby went to Instagram Tuesday (October 9) and didn’t bite his tongue on name-checking sports reporter Frank Isola and Odell’s New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

“Good morning. Tunechi here. First let me start off by saying thank-you again to all the fans, the supporters for my music, for Tha Carter V, it’s awesome, it’s amazing. It’s unbelievable. Cloud nine. But today, this morning, I want to talk about something. My man Odell Beckham Jr. is taking a lot of flack, taking a lot of heat about this interview him and I done with Josina Anderson. First of all, let me thank Miss Josina Anderson, let me thank Odell for the interview. Let me just say first, I’ve been seeing things, I’ve been hearing things like if he wants, he being Odell, if Odell wants to be taken seriously, why would he do an interview with Lil Wayne next to him? I’ve heard things like that and I’ve seen things like Eli Manning said ‘I don’t watch Lil Wayne much.’ First of all, to the person that said, ‘How can he be taken seriously with Lil Wayne sitting next to him,’ the person that said that is a reporter, whatever, journalist from New York named Frank Isola. Frank, I rock with you, I actually like you. When you come on TV, I like you. I like your accents, your heavy New York, Italian whatever accent. I like the way you just do your thing. You say what you want to say and get your point across. You mentioned my name. My name came out your mouth this time. When that happens, I’m going to fire back at you. I only get on here to do positive things and great things but Frank, come on. I know you’re up there in New York. I know a little bit about New York, I spent time on the island out there called Rikers Island. I know a little bit about New York but I don’t know much about you though. Fact is you don’t know much about me. With that said, keep my name out your mouth.”

Good morning!!

A post shared by Lil Wayne (@liltunechi) on

Wayne also questioned why Eli wouldn’t show him some support after being asked for his reaction to his and Odell’s interview.

“Now to Eli, man, every time I do an interview about you and somebody is about to, it doesn’t even have to be an interview – everytime someone bad mouths you I’m the first to say – you can ask Skip Bayless, first thing I say is, ‘Listen. I got a homie that was doing time that remembers seeing Eli, Archie, Peyton, Cooper, he remembers seeing them at five in the morning every other morning on the school yard way before the students got there. I was the first one to back you up like, ‘He got two rings before his brother.’ And here you are saying you don’t watch or know [me]. That’s fine, that’s fine. I’m cool with you. I don’t care what you watch or listen to or nothing like that but man, it’s just hometown love. You ain’t got to do me like that. I didn’t say anything bad about you. So I ain’t going to say anything bad about you now. Still hometown love. I f*cks with you Eli. You ain’t got to watch much of me but you can listen. You probably need to the way you’ve been playing. You probably need to bang some Carter V before the game, just for consideration.”

Wayne finally circled back around and addressed any salty reporters feeling a way about him appearing alongside Odell for the must-watch Q&A.

“I think you, as in all of y’all, y’all are just a little upset that it’s not y’all who can get somebody with a number one album, thank God, and one of the greats of the NFL to sit down in a room together and get on camera and give such a great interview. And for you Frank, I heard you also said I didn’t say anything. I was just like a ‘Yes man,’ saying yes to everything. Frank, you should know that was edited. That was a real great interview by the wonderful Miss Josina. She asked me some things that made me open up as well. So the thing is when you’re someone who is talking, it doesn’t have to be on-camera. When you’re talking amongst people and you see they’re being real and they’re being genuine and that they’re being authentic. Nine times out of ten, if you’re true to yourself or whatever, you’re going to be the same way. Maybe that’s the reason why he opened up like that and he was being real because I was being real and Josina was just keeping it real. And I think that you guys are just upset that you weren’t on the other side of the table asking questions because I don’t think you’d even get a chance to do such a thing because if I or Odell is on the other side of the table with you, whoever you are, Frank, we probably wouldn’t even answer the questions. So to answer your question, why should you take him serious if he’s sitting next to Lil Wayne? To answer that, it’s because Lil Wayne is serious and I was serious when I said keep my name out your mouth, Frank. Thanks for getting Tha Carter V to all the fans the supporters. That sh*t crazy. I love that sh*t. What the f*ck though? Where the love go, Eli?”

This week, ESPN reporter Josina Anderson explained her motivation behind snagging Odell and Wayne for the “Sunday NFL Countdown” segment.

Start with the participants. Anderson has developed a rapport with Beckham (“I think I tend to connect well with people who are very authentic,” she told Sporting News), and she knew he had a strong connection with Lil Wayne—as well as a tattoo of the rapper on his leg. When she learned Wayne would be in New York promoting his new album, she got the pair to agree to a joint appearance on little more than a day’s notice. (Sports Illustrated)
