Drake Throws 2000’s Themed Birthday Party in Los Angeles

Drake turns 32 today.

The Toronto superstar hosted a 2000’s themed birthday party last night in LA. The party included a number of throwback gems from the early to mid-2000s, such as a Blockbuster video wall, a Rap City Booth, a 106 & Park set and many more. A Sandra’s Rose Room was also featured with pictures of Drake and his mother along with a plethora of red roses.

If you were lucky enough to attend, you got to experience this one of a kind shindig. Drake even raffled off Chanel bags as well.

The 6 God’s road to his 32nd year was a roller coaster, but a success nonetheless. The year started with the released of the Scary Hours EP, which included the Billboard smash, “Gods Plan.” The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts for 11 weeks. It was bounced out by its follow up, “Nice For What,” for a number of weeks as well. With the help of Shiggy, “In My Feelings” became Drake’s third Hot 100 topper, leading to his successful Aubrey and The Three Migos Tour. Aside from his musical success, he hopped into a rap beef with Pusha T, but also squashed beefs of the past.

Drizzy brought both Meek Mill and Chris Brown on stage to perform, during his US tour. Meek performed “Dream and Nightmares” in Boston, and Breezy performed “Party” in Los Angeles. These moments were defining for the culture. In a competitive industry, feuds sometimes occur, but those moments are more progressive than the beef that proceeds it.

With that being said, The Source would like to wish Drake a.k.a. “Champagne Papi” More Life and Happy Birthday.
