GoldLink & Tyler Are 2 Of Music’s Most Versatile Voices. They Collaborate To Elevate

GoldLink is preparing to drop his forthcoming album Diaspora next week (June 12). In anticipation, he’s giving fans another strong sampling of what’s to come. The Washington, D.C. native teamed up with Tyler, The Creator and Jay Prince for “U Say.” The track features transient Bossa Nova-inspired instrumentals that slowly make listeners want to shake their shoulders. Lyrically, Tyler remains on his hot streak just after May’s IGOR.

Naw you can’t take off unless you leave your amigo / Swallow your pride and put aside your ego,” the Grammy-nominated MC/producer raps. “F*ck being modest, I’m just being honest / You seem home-cooked in them good McDonalds.” “U Say” is the first official collaboration between Tyler and GoldLink and judging by this one, hopefully the pair can link for music a lot more often.

“U Say” is just the latest single release from GoldLink in his campaign to follow up 2017’s At What Cost. Less than a month ago, he released “Zulu Screams” and “Joke Ting” to ignite fan’s excitement about his upcoming LP release, which is slated for June 12 via Squaaash Club/RCA Records. GoldLink will be the musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, June 11.

GoldLink will also join Tyler on the upcoming IGOR Tour this summer.
