Tekashi 6ix9ine Asks for Fed Judge’s Permission to Shoot Videos in Backyard During Quarantine/House Arrest

While other incarcerated celebs aren’t getting any leeway during the coronavirus pandemic, Tekashi 6ix9ine is counting his blessings after being granted home confinement for the remainder of his federal racketeering sentence. Now, the millennial Brooklyn rapper is asking the judge for one more favor; to let him shoot videos for his new music in his backyard.

According to motions filed by Tekashi’s legal team that was obtained by TMZ, 6ix9ine is seeking permission to film music videos. His probation officer has not objected to the request, so now his lawyers Lance Lazarro and Dawn Florio are awaiting a stamp of approval from federal Judge Paul Englemayer.

This is the same judge who gave Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, a slap on the wrist in his racketeering case for cooperating with federal prosecutors. Englemayer is also the same judge who granted Hernandez the home confinement option due to the COVID-19 scare in the country’s jails and prisons.

6ix9ine signed a reported $10 million record deal in October of last year and it looks like the visuals from one of the most hated acts in Hip Hop will be coming to flat screens around the world in the very near future.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Saga Continues With Plea For Home Confinement Amid Security Concerns

Although his sensational trial and sentencing is over, Daniel “Tekashi 6ix9ine” Hernandez is still making headlines.

Apparently, Hernandez wants out of prison early for fear of his safety after testifying against his former Blood Gang cronies. Hernandez wants to spend the rest of his 24-month sentence under home confinement or in a community correctional facility.

TMZ obtained documents about the filing.

Hernandez has a unique footnote in hip hop history and popular culture. As one of the fastest rising stars ever, 6ix9ine went from chart-topper to threat to society in the same wave.

After multiple run-ins with the law, a kidnapping, and eventual dismissal of the gang culture that made him so intriguing, 6ix9ine’s short career is a whole movie.

As a result of his cooperation with federal authorities, high profile members of his former gang have all been indicted. With a desire to continue his carer in the music industry post-release, 6ix9ine is currently trying to survive.

Conversely, his former manager and Trey Way boss, Kifano “Shotti” Jordan is attempting to appeal his 15-year sentence. Others like Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months for racketeering and narcotics distribution.

The web around the Tekashi 6ix9ine story is deep.
