Cardi B Returns To Court To Answer Charges Over Strip Club Incident

Regardless of life’s ups and downs Cardi B will always be Cardi B. She proved this once again during a recent legal hearing.

As spotted onĀ Page Six the Bronx Bombshell showed out when pulling up to Queens court on Tuesday, December 10. Accompanied by her management, legal team and security detail, Belcalis wore an outfit worthy of the Met Gala ball. The drip in question was a black-feathered coat with an over-sized hood and a what seems to be an eight foot train that dragged behind her. Underneath she was sporting a white button-up shirt, skinny black tie, black pants and Louis Vuitton boots.

The “Bodak Yellow” is accused of assaulting two female bartenders at a Queens gentleman’s club in 2018. Rumor has it she wanted all the smoke with the pair of sisters because one of them was allegedly sleeping with her then boyfriend now husband Offset.

Her lawyers asked the presiding judge that the accusers submit certain social media posts, that are no deleted, they made regarding the altercation citing they are important to the case. The judge confirmed that Facebook, Instagram’s parent company, was already subpoenaed but the media conglomerate had denied the request. Naturally, the prosecutors responded with a big old #GoodLuckWithThat in regards to helping source the IG posts in question.

Bardi left the court without saying a word. Her next appearance is slated for January. Video of the dramatic entrance below.

Lil Wayne Ordered To Pay $150K Because Of Missed Court Hearing

It might be safe to say Lil Wayne has fixed his financial problems. The New Orleans artist is blowing off court appearances that is costing him a pretty penny.

TMZ is reporting that TuneChi was hit with a default judgement to the tune of 150K. Apparently he failed to respond to a lawsuit filed by a gentleman that says he was finessed by one of his cohorts. In January Ramin Natan sued him alleging that he paid 500K to Eric StengerĀ who claimed to be a show promoter for Weezy. Long story short the show never happened and the money was never refunded.

In the legal documents Natan says that the “A Milli” rapper was in cahoots with Stenger and received the 500K. While it isn’t clear if Wayne was in on the scheme he was ordered to respond but failed to. As a result the judge ruled in favor of the plaintiff with a default judgement. The celebrity gossip site reached out to Wayne’s team for a statement but have yet to hear back.

Good luck to Ramin on getting paid out though.

Cardi B Claps Back at Lawyer Criticizing her Court Room Attire

At this point it’s safe to assume that Cardi B will clap back at almost anybody who has something negative to say about her. The Bronx rapper recently dragged The New York Post and attorney Joseph Tacopina, who represents the alleged victims in Cardi’s current assault case.

The publication did a full blown expo on the “Drip” rapper about her attire when she goes to court. They interviewed her stylists, manicurists, as well as Tacopina about her courtroom lewks.

“Cardi treats her trips to the courthouse like a runway show,” Tacopina told the publication. ā€œHereā€™s a woman who got indicted by a grand jury with felony charges, and appears to only be concerned about what sheā€™s wearing. Thereā€™s going to be a ā€˜Come to Jesusā€™ moment with her, because itā€™s not consistent with someone whoā€™s taking this seriously.ā€

In a since-deleted post, Cardi addressed the lawyer and basically told him don’t watch her, watch TV.

“I donā€™t dress inappropriate when I go to court. I dress like a young fucking lady,” Cardi exclaimed. “Where am I supposed to get my suits from?H&M? Why are you worried about the way I dress? That just goes to show you that y’all do this shit for press […] TMZ be knowing what the judge is going to say three days before I go to court because you be going to the press […] Y’all want my name for press.”

She even doubled down on her statement urging her audience to look up the photos where she arrived to court without make up. She also brought up the fact that Tacopina also represents Meek Mill who is now an advocate for prison reform, which Cardi B has publicly supported.

“You are a lawyer that represents an artist that’s standing up for prison reform, something that I have donated money to and you motherfucking worried about what a woman is putting on her body when she goes to fucking court.”

Bardi is facing two felony assault charges and several misdemeanors stemming from an altercation in a New York City night club between two females who were allegedly sleeping with Offset.

Cardi B was spotted hitting up Queens Criminal Court on Thursday, January 31. Decked out in fur, she seemed to be in good spirits, as she confirmed she and Offset are “working things out.”

The “I Like It” rapper has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and a misdemeanor count of assault after she allegedly threw an ice bucket and chairs at two sisters in a Queen strip club. The sisters,Ā Rachel and Sarah Wattley, work as bartenders at the club and rumor is Cardi thinks one of them slept with Offset. A protective order against Cardi was extended at her court appearance this week, NBCSanDiego reports, so the rapper is not to contact either of the sisters.

Ciara and Future are still not getting along when it comes to their 4-year-old son, Future Zahir. Surprise, surprise.

Fresh off of celebrating her husband’s 30th birthday, CiCi is entering a new court battle with her baby father. According to TMZ, the singer’s legal team is requesting that the courts force Future to enter mediation so they can figure out a new travel itinerary for their kid.

TMZ reports, “If the judge won’t force Daddy Future into mediation, Ciara wants a trial to settle the matter.Ā As we reported … Ciara claims Future’s been terrible at keeping his daddy appointments — allegedlyĀ breaking scheduled visitsĀ fairly often — and tends to hand the kid off to the rapper’s mother or grandmother without spending much time with him.”

“Ciara also said the constant back-and-forth was weighing on their son, and it was important they figure a better schedule for the kid’s sake. Her camp says they’ve been trying to figure this out without a judge stepping in, but to no avail.” the site reports.

Check out a more recent photo of little Future below…he’s the spitting image of his dad.

Migos Reportedly Suing Former Business Partner For Unpaid Clothing Line Royalties

Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset are reportedly suing their former business partner after a clothing line deal went sour. The Migos rappers claim they have not received their cut of the royalties theyā€™re owed.

According to The Blast, ā€œThe band signed a deal in 2015 with YRN (aka Yung Rich Nation) to work on a line of clothing, jewelry, and other apparel. The guys fromĀ MigosĀ were to be paid a percentage of royalties from the sales.Ā They accuse YRN of failing to properly pay them their cut from the sales and for not providing them with accounting, making it unclear how much they are actually owed. Migos says they have demanded their former partner turn over the finances but they have refused.ā€

Additionally, Migos is accusing YRN of using ā€œMigos marksā€ like ā€œCultureā€ and ā€œBad and Boujeeā€ as the company continues to produce new clothing. Migos is asking for an injunction that would stop YRN from profiting off their marks. Theyā€™re also suing for an unspecified amount in damages.

But, as the site reports, it was actually YRN that first took issue with Migos in court.

ā€œYung Rich Nation actually sued Migos over the same deal earlier this year. YRN claimed Quavo, Offset and Takeoff were supposed to wear the clothes in six music videos a year, participate in four photo shoots and make at least six appearances in stores. The company claimed instead of following through on their deal, Migos went and entered into a separate deal with Universal Music Group to sell band apparel and ceased to work on the planned line with them. YRN sued Migos seeking unspecified damages. Migos denied all allegations of wrongdoing and demanded the lawsuit be dismissed,ā€ The Blast states.
