Where’s the East Coast hip-hop lovers at? dUECE bUG is out here representing for Connecticut. He may be new to the UGHH blog, but his talent should be applauded. This dude is an MC and Drummer (which reminds me of Anderson .Paak) and has dropped a new single from his 5th album, Melting Pot.
“Time I’m On” finds dUECE bUG spitting witty bars, infusing live drums, and alternative punk vibes into a head-banger. The interesting bars that caught my ear were: “Golden rhymes schemes / flow is tight mean / shutting down bars like COVID-19”
The official music video is directed by James Joyce “The Squatch”. The video includes footage of dUECE on the drums and spitting bars from the studio inside Hat City Music Productions. The clock sculptures are created by Connecticut graffiti artist Michael J. Clocks, and are crafted from recycled electronics, metals, random trinkets/adornments and paint.
Feel free to check out the video above and add the track to your Spotify playlist – let us know what you think in the comments, should add more blog posts about dUECE bUG?

The sprawling Connecticut estate of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has been on the market for 12 years according to accounts. Now, the mogul and rapper can finally put the business behind him as the home was sold, although it came at a massive financial loss.
The rapper, nee Curtis Jackson, couldn’t find a buyer for the 50+ room mansion for over a decade and continually slashed the price down from its original $18.5 million reported asking price.
The home was most recently listed for $4.995 million with Million Dollar Listing New York star Fredrik Eklund of Douglas Elliman, PEOPLE confirmed in January 2018. It had also previously been listed for rent at $100,000 per month.
According to the Wall Street Journal, he let go of the home for $2.9 million, which is 84 percent less than the original listing price. Jennifer Leahy of Douglas Elliman brokered the sale.
Wall Street Journal, which broke the initial report of the sale, said that a spokesperson for Fif says that the proceeds of the sale will go to the rapper’s charity, G-Unity Foundation Inc.
Meek Mill continues raking in W’s while he’s on The Championships Tour.
Before gracing the stage at XFINITY Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut the Philly rapper was honored with the key to the city and March 19th was declared Meek Mill Day. Meek received the honors for his work as a criminal justice reform advocate.
He was also acknowledged for his criminal justice reform work by Houston and his hometown.
Meek Mill performed in Connecticut just one day after the CEO of the REFORM Alliance co-founded by the rapper, JAY-Z, Michael Rubin, and more, Van Jones, spoke about the passing of a bill that will restore felons’ voting privilege.
“When people are trying to turn their lives around, we should throw them a lifeline and not an anvil,” said Jones, the CEO of REFORM Alliance. “To often when people come home from prison, if they’ve done well on the inside, they’ve taken classes, they’ve gotten certificates, they think they’re going to come home and do well, and they find doors closed in their faces. And the only door that opens is the door back to prison, and that’s wrong. And we can do something about that. This is supposed to be a country that loves the underdog, loves the second chance, loves a comeback story.”
Meek was unable to attend Monday’s meeting but showed love by gifting the governor and parolees a pairs of his PUMA Clyde Court #REFORM sneakers.
CT upstart, by way of Gurabo Puerto Rico, JT, lives by the quote, “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” Perfecting his form, the 24-year-old rapper continues to refine his rapping and songwriting abilities. To kickstart the first quarter of 2019, JT lets his doubters know that its “Payback” season.
The Young Devante produced single is laced with boastful lyrics as director, Christopher Facey, pairs it with crisp visuals.
JT on “Payback”:
“I ain’t nothin’ like these other folks, they one and done. Came back, King James, 3 and 1.”
ANoyd dropped a handful of cuts with similar “ransom letter” graphics in the Fall of last year, including “Always Something,” “DelCobra,” and “Solid Gold.” Something is building between albums. Now the New England MC is back with the effect and filter-heavy video for “DelCobra” directed by Eli Taylor.
The droning horn loop courtesy of 2WO4OUR is fertile soil for Noyd to cultivate his clever bars. He spews napalm right from the onset, “I said, the Lambo doors put their hands in the air / And I wave ‘em like I just don’t care / What I’m drinking is clear / They was grillin’, now it’s more pan-seared / Less plastic and more Pam Grier / The GOAT, I’m damn near / I feel the bag lasts longer when you humble / But you get the bag quicker when you mumble.”
Then, as a warning to those hating, he asserts, “You gettin’ thoughts of dissing me? / Oh, you should disengage / I wish a brother would, you know I’ll get him engraved / And I ain’t even trying to be vain / While y’all building up some type of facade / ‘Cause the only people hyping ya, squad.”
About Ready Or Not: “Ready Or Not” is Ambrosia For Heads’ platform for showcasing new videos and having you, the people, decide whether they are ready for primetime. Each week, AFH will showcase music from artists on the verge, looking for their seat at the table among Hip-Hop’s elite.
