Lil Rel In Custody Drama With His Baby’s Mother And Her Husband

Talk about baby mama drama!

Famed comedian Lil Rel Howery is embroiled in a messy custody battle for his son after learning that his ex has made both him and her current husband think that they are both the father of her two year old son.

Chicago native Rel says in recently filed documents in court that his baby’s mother is claiming two men and the father of their two year old son. She told the Get Out he was the father and he has financially supported the child since birth. He says she told him the child had his last name and he often flew the child from Illinois to Los Angeles to visit him. He claims she also told him she was divorced.

Rel now claims that his child’s mother, LeChez Davis, put her husband’s name on the child’s birth certificate instead of that of Howery.

Last month, Rel took the DNA test and found out that he is indeed the father of the two year old baby boy.

Howery is seeking full custody and wants to move his son with him to Los Angeles.

Dave Chappelle has spent decades as one of comedy’s top minds having conquered film, cable television, and the stage. For his talents, the Washington, D.C. region native will be awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor later this year.

NPR reports:

The stand-up comic, actor, producer and director joins a prestigious group of comedians to receive the award. Among them are Carol Burnett, Whoopi Goldberg, Bob Newhart and Richard Pryor — who won the very first Twain Prize in 1998.

“Dave is one of the truly original voices in comedy — the definition of a creative artist,” Matthew Winer, director of comedy and special programming at the Kennedy Center, said to NPR. “He’s a modern day sociologist, skewering stereotypes, defying boundaries and showing us that laughter can be a way to contextualize issues that we struggle to understand.”

“Dave is the embodiment of Mark Twain’s observation that ‘against the assault of humor, nothing can stand,’ ” Deborah F. Rutter, president of the Kennedy Center, said in a prepared statement. “For three decades, Dave has challenged us to see hot-button issues from his entirely original yet relatable perspective.”

Chappelle will return to Washington on Oct. 27 of this year in a ceremony at the Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts. The actual broadcast of the event will air in Jan. 2020.

Eminem might be mellowing out just a taste in his later years, but he’s still very much a strong lyricist and fierce microphone competitor when he wants to be. Fresh off of getting featured on a new single with Logic, Slim Shady called out comedian Chris D’Elia over his hilarious impersonation of the Detroit superstar.

Via a tweet promoting the new single “Homicide” with Maryland native Logic, Slim Shady made a proper call out to D’Elia.

“Me and @chrisdelia are gonna battle one day,” Em wrote, tagging Logic in a tweet that featured a snippet of the track, which also features D’Elia’s mock freestyle at the end.

This appears to be all fun and games, this after Em praised D’Elia’s impersonation earlier this year via Twitter. D’Elia was stoked to be a part of the record and to accept the battle as evidenced by the Instagram posts below.

Deadline reports:

Barnett, a rising comic in New York City, recently co-created and executive produced fellow comedians Lil Rel Howery and Josh Rabinowitz Rel, the freshman Fox/20th TV comedy series starring Howery.

“Our hearts are broken, as are those of everyone at Rel, at the news of Kevin Barnett’s passing.
