Rihanna Reportedly Denies Father’s Claims That She Sent Ventilator to Treat COVID-19

It was reported that Rihanna’s father was thankful that his daughter sent him a ventilator after he tested positive for the coronavirus. But a rep for the singer reportedly said that’s a lie.

Ronald Fenty told The Sun, “My daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day. I thought I was going to die to be honest. I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn. “She did so much for me. I appreciate everything she has done.”

He even told the outlet that she sent a ventilator which he admitted he didn’t use yet. “I got a fever up inside of my nose. I had a fever across my lips. It was just a lot of fever. I feared the worst. I thought I was going to die, honestly.”

The 66-year-old urged, “I want everybody to stay home. This is a serious situation. More serious than people realize. Please stay home.”

However, a source from the beauty mogul’s camp told Page Six, “He doesn’t need a ventilator, and she didn’t send him one.” Rihanna is reportedly upset about his claims and she had no knowledge of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

Riri and her father have been having ongoing issues about him trying to use his famous daughter’s name for publicity and money. But considering that she has donated millions to the coronavirus relief effort, I’m sure she wouldn’t have a problem assisting her father if he really was in need.

Rihanna Joins Forces With Twitter CEO to Donate $4.2M to Domestic Violence Victims

Rihanna has built a reputation for being a humanitarian and philanthropist on top of the list of things that she does. So it’s no surprise that she’s stepping up to the plate during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The singer’s Clara Lionel Foundation joined forces with Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, to donate $4.2 million to the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles to help domestic abuse victims in the city.

The money will go towards housing, meals, and counseling for 90 victims a week for a total of 20 weeks.

The donation comes after reports say domestic violence claims are on the rise ever since Los Angeles enforced the stay-at-home order. At least 90 people are being turned down from domestic violence shelters weekly.

Rihanna and Dorsey have both made previous donations in addition to this generous one. Riri’s foundation donated $5 million to Direct Relief, Feeding America, the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, and other organizations fighting COVID-19.

She also matched $1 million dollars with JAY-Z’s Shawn Carter Foundation, and sent a ventilator to her father in Barbados who tested positive for the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Dorsey pledged 28% of his equity, which values at $1 billion, towards the coronavirus relief effort.

Rihanna Encourages Other to Help her Fight for Global Education in Op-Ed Piece

Rihanna delivered an inspirational op-ed piece raising awareness to the lack of access of education to children around the world.

“The lack of access to education for children around the world is a massive problem, but that does not mean we should throw up our hands in despair and surrender,” Rihanna said in a new piece published by the Guardian Tuesday. “Instead, we need to take on as much of the challenge as we can manage to set an example and see the difference. This is what has driven me to prioritize global education in my philanthropy and advocacy work.”

She added that she took her education in Barbados for granted. In many parts of the world, children are prevented from that same access due to poverty, politics, war, sexism, and more. The bad gal, who is currently chipping away at her Anti follow-up, wants to end these inequalities by supporting the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and their efforts toward fighting the education deficit around the world.

“We are grateful for the generous contributions of those such as the EU and France, and countries that doubled their contributions such as Canada and Ireland,” she said of her GPE ambassador role and this year’s GPE financing conference. “I look forward to seeing additional contributions from countries I know can step up even more, such as Germany and Japan, and seeing those that didn’t contribute – the Netherlands, Finland and New Zealand add their support to help us reach our target.”

The multi-hyphenate artist also spoke about here Clara Lionel Foundation and called on readers to join her on calling out politicians on Twitter and anywhere else to spread the message.
