Rapsody ‘Eve’ Album to be Taught at UNC-Chapel Hill and Ohio State University

Rapsody received news of what she calls “one of the highest honors” on Wednesday when two college professors revealed plans to teach her latest album at their universities.

Ohio State University and Rap’s hometown school UNC-Chapel Hill have both made available a course that will break down Rapsody’s sophomore LP Eve in English courses focusing on womanist philosophy.

“One of the highest honors is to create art for the culture and have it taught in our educational institutions,” the 3-time Grammy-nominated rapper wrote on Instagram.

Rapsody’s Eve album was written as a dedication to Black women with every song titled after a prominent woman in Black history like “Nina” named after singer/activist Nina Simone, “Oprah” after Journalist/Businesswoman Oprah Winfrey and “Michelle” after former First Lady Michelle Obama.
