The Advocate reported Tuesday morning that YoungBoy who is facing federal gun charges in Baton Rouge and Los Angeles, has cleared the final hurdle. After being granted house arrest for federal gun charges stemming from Louisiana the rapper, born as Kentrell Gaulden had more charges to face.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Will Morris and U.S. Magistrate Judge Richard Bourgeois Jr. both agreed that the government would not seek to detain NBA YoungBoy on his federal gun case pending in California. Gaulden would not have to remain in jail for charges of a 45-caliber pistol and 12 rounds of ammo were allegedly found in Gaulden’s possession when he was stopped in Los Angeles.

A federal grand jury indicted Gaulden in August, and he was arrested in Baton Rouge on an arrest warrant issued by that grand jury. That is why Gaulden appeared before Bourgeois in Baton Rouge on the California charge.

NBA YoungBoy’s team request move to rapper’s Utah residence.

On Friday, Chief U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick, of Baton Rouge, changed her mind and agreed to release YoungBoy on bond pending his trial in Baton Rouge and put him under 24-hour house arrest in Utah.

The Baton Rouge rapper was granted the one-point-five-million-dollar bail with strict house arrest that includes a GPS monitor. YB is not allowed more than thee pre-approved visitors at his Utah residence at one time and there can be no visitors between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m..

As part of YB’s request for house arrest, the rapper’s legal team assured Judge Dick that YB would stay out of trouble with a home studio built-in to allow him to continuing working. Additionally they proposed adding a a private security team patrol to protect his estate’s premises from certain visitors. Dick did not require the security team proposal.

Two of Gaulden’s lawyers, James Manasseh and Andre Belanger, said the California arraignment should take place in November.

NBA YoungBoy is reportedly on his way to his home in Utah, after 7 months where he will await trial for his gun case in California.

NBA Youngboy’s Team Motions Judge To Grant House Arrest At Utah Residence

NBA YoungBoy’s team request move to rapper’s Utah residence.

During a public hearing Monday, YoungBoy’s attorneys requested that their client, Kentrell Gaulden be relocated to his Utah residence.

As part of YB’s pending Utah release, the Baton Rouge native would live under strict house arrest guidelines. Suggesting the rapper would stay out of trouble with a home studio built-in to allow him to continuing working.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again delivers his third album, Sincerely, Kentrell.

According to The Advocate, YB’s team also presented to have a private security team patrol and protect his estate’s premises from certain visitors. As part of a “checks and balances” system, NBA YoungBoy’s team suggested the Bedrock Special Projects company to be on duty.

It’s unclear if the motion will be granted as Chief U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick has rejected the notion of allowing YoungBoy’s bond in the past.

In a statement made earlier this year Judge Dick stated, Gaulden is “inclined toward reckless, illegal, dangerous behavior.”

Adding, “and no combination of bond conditions could ensure the community’s safety.”

His defense argued, if the 21-year-old Rap star were to move permanently to the Utah residence near his support network, YB would be kept in line by an adoptive family eager to keep him out of jail.

The”Lonely Child” rapper is currently being held behind bars at St. Martin Parish Correctional Center in St. Martinville, Louisiana.

In other YoungBoy Never Broke Again news, the official “Life Support” video off Sincerely, Kentrell is sitting close to 19 million views.

The video was released on September 9, 2021.

NBA YoungBoy Is Being Investigated By Feds Following 2020 Drug Arrest

According to a report from TheAdvocate, a prosecutor has revealed that Baton Rouge-based rapper NBA YoungBoy is now being investigated by federal authorities after an arrest at a video shoot resulting in drug charges.

NBA YoungBoy aka Kentrell Gaulden, along with 15 other individuals, were arrested in September of last year during the filming of a music video, which uncovered fourteen firearms, three grams of marijuana and a dose of hydrocodone. Gauden was charged with possession of schedule 1 drugs, distribution/manufacturing of schedule 2 drug and distribution/manufacturing of schedule 4 drug. He was not charged with any of the firearms.

Police say that they arrested members of the “Never Broke Again” (NBA) and “Bottom Boy Gorilla” (BBG) groups, which they described as street gangs.

YoungBoy’s lawyer James Manasseh filed a motion asking a 19th Judicial District Court judge to release him from his bond supervision since it was four months since the arrest and no charges had filed by the East Baton Rouge Attorney’s office. On Monday(February 9), District Attorney Hillar Moore III, contacted Manasseh by phone and stated, “The matter is still being reviewed by our office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.”

U.S. Attorney Brandon Fremin said it is his office’s policy not to reveal that investigations are being conducted.

“There’s no crime committed by Kentrell in this,” he said. “They didn’t find him in possession of anything (illegal). They just arrested everybody.”

YoungBoy is currently free of a $75,000 secured state bond.

Baton Rouge’s Lit Yoshi Held on $1.82M Bond, Accused of Being Gang’s “Top Enforcer”

Screen Shot 2020 07 30 at 7.59.38 AM

Since earlier this month, Baton Rouge rapper Lit Yoshi was arrested and held on a $1.2 million bond for his alleged involvement in two separate shootings that left three adults and two children injured. At a bond hearing on Tuesday, Yoshi, whose real name is Mieyoshi Tyree Edwards, was considered a top enforcer of the TBG (Top Boy Gorilla) gang, where homicide detectives speculate he was “either calling the shots on who is being targeted or he does the shootings.”

Yoshi’s bond was upped to $1.82 million and his attorney mentioned that when and if able to post bond, Edwards would be living in South Florida. The judge also said the rapper would be on an 8 PM to 6 AM curfew and “will be allowed to record music but won’t be allowed to make any social media postings, and firearms won’t be allowed where he stays.”

In the shootings that took place in April and July, investigators were able to trace Edwards through the alleged vehicle rentals he used during each shooting. Detectives say both cars were rented by Edwards’ girlfriend and matched the timeframe of the respective shootings.
