Clout continues to be one of the greatest downfalls of this new generation. One online personality recently lost his life trying to do the most.

As spotted onĀ Buzzfeed News a popular YouTuber was shot when he attempted to prank someone with weapons. On Friday, February 5 Timothy Wilks reportedly walked into the parking lot of Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in Nashville around 9:25 p.m. The 20-year-old man and an associate of his apparently approached a group of people, that included David Starnes Jr., brandishing butcher knives.

According to police Starnes thought the situation was indeed real and shot the jokester on sight. When the police arrived to the scene he told the local authorities that he was unaware of any prank and acted in self defense. Timothy’s friends explained the “prank” was intended to help him gain further notoriety online. This is not the first time had been involved in a fake crime. In August he and his twin brother were charged with a felony and misdemeanor after they concocted a pair of fake bank robberies.

Thus far no one arrests have been made.

Adam22 almost caught a hot one on livestream during a taping of his No Jumper podcast, but his security team dished out a proper fade to the would-be gunman. Now, the man who attempted to jack the host is still sitting behind bars so perhaps this jux wasn’t some elaborate plan, eh?

TMZ reports:

The hip-hop host of the “No Jumper” podcast — known as Adam22 — was violently interrupted while recording his show Sunday when the gunman pointed his weapon at Adam and threatened his life.

According to the L.A. County D.A.’s office … the suspect, 24-year-old David Tran, has now been charged with one count of attempted second-degree robbery. He’s still in custody and being held on $100k bail.

After video of the scary moment surfaced, many skeptics wondered if Adam staged it for publicity. Adam spoke to us and made it clear — it was 100 percent real and serious, and everyone was fortunate there were no deaths … especially the gunman.

When it comes to Adam22, you either love him or hate him but despite what side you stand on, nobody should advocate for physical harm to come his way however. During a live stream of his popular No Jumper podcast, Adam22 stared down the barrel of a gun as a man attempted to rob him but some fans on Twitter think it’s all a jig.

TMZ reports:

Adam Grandmaison — better known as Adam22 — was in the middle of filming his popular hip-hop podcast, “No Jumper,” Sunday night in L.A. when some guy, out of nowhere, pulls a gun on Adam22, who was filming from a back room at his popular BMX and clothing store, ONSOMESHIT.

Watch the vid … the gunman demands Adam22’s money and threatens, “Do you want to die right now?” as a harrowing 14 seconds unfolds during the live YouTube broadcast to nearly 900k subscribers. Moments later, it appears security takes control of the sitch … by knocking out the would-be thief.

There’s been some discussion on Twitter, especially after Adam22 starting cracking jokes about the harrowing event. Some of what’s being said is that it was all part of some elaborate scheme for content, which for Adam22 wouldn’t seem like a stretch.

Check out the reactions below.
