While companies have been cutting their ties with Kanye West following his perceived anti-Semitic comments, his fans have been disassociating themselves from the music/fashion mogul in their own way.

In a video posted on Twitter yesterday(October 31), an unknown person is seen painting over West’s mural with black paint in his hometown. The vandal perfectly painted Kanye’s silhouette black to cover up any signs of West’s image or likeness. The witness/ Twitter user who posted the video, said, “Very crazy I’m witnessing this right now.. they’re painting over the Kanye mural in Chicago.”

Several companies, including Balenciaga, Foot Locker, Adidas and Gap have terminated their contracts and removed his merchandise from their website. With all of these business relationships terminated, West also lost his status as a billionaire.

“Kanye Is Right About The Jews” Banners Fly Over Los Angeles Highway

Screen Shot 2022 10 24 at 9.18.25 AM

As more and more companies are publicly disassociating themselves from Kanye West amid his anti-Semitic comments, a group of white Nationalists have used the music and fashion mogul’s name to push help push their agenda against Jewish people.

The Goyim Defense League appears to be the culprit who is responsible for putting banners on a L.A. Hwy. 405 overpass which read, “Honk if you know Kanye is right about the Jews.”

The group members were also putting up the Nazi salute at passing drivers on the infamous Los Angeles freeway.

Just two weeks ago, West tweeted he was “going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE” after Instagram restricted his account. Since then, Kanye was forced to take his money out of J.P. Morgan, was publicly criticized by Drink Champs and N.O.R.E. for his George Floyd comments, lost his campaign with Vogue and all while getting backlash for sporting and selling his “White Lives Matter” t-shirts.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Defamation League describes Goyim Defense League as a loose network of virulently anti-Semitic conspiracy theorists, but says that they are now strengthened and given relevance from West’s comments.

LaKeith Stanfield Apologizes For Allegedly Participating in Anti-Semitic Clubhouse Chat

Screen Shot 2021 05 10 at 7.51.50 AM

For decades, anyone in the Black community who showed sympathy or support for the Nation of Islam’s Minister Farrakhan was immediately vilified, and in 2021, at least for actor Lakeith Stanfield, not much has changed.

The Get Out actor showed up in a Clubhouse chat room titled “Did Min. Farrakhan Tarnish His Legacy by Being Antisemitic?”, but the discussion was ended by its moderator. Moments later, Stanfield ended up in another Clubhouse room called “Someone Ended the Room About Farrakhan.”

Stanfield was made a moderator in that chat room but was almost immediately confronted by a Jewish woman, who questioned why Stanfield didn’t confront and condemn what was viewed as anti-Semitic hate speech. The following day, the Atlanta actor joined a Clubhouse chat room, this time with Jewish moderators, admitting to them that he didn’t do anything to confront those engaged in the conversation.

The 29-year-old actor has taken to IG to apologize for the anti-Semitic chat room, stating, “I condemn hate speech and discriminatory views of every kind. I unconditionally apologize for what went on in that chat room and for allowing my presence there to give a platform to hate speech. I am not an anti-Semite nor do I condone any of the beliefs discussed in that chat room.”

ViacomCBS is ‘Hopeful’ to Rebuild Business Relationship With Nick Cannon

ViacomCBS is 'Hopeful' to Rebuild Business Relationship With Nick Cannon

ViacomCBS severed ties with Nick Cannon over a month ago after he made some anti-semitic remarks on his podcast. But it looks like things are taking a turn for the better after Cannon’s apology tour.

The multi-hyphenate has been using his Cannon Class platform to educate himself and really understand why his comments were wrong. President of entertainment and youth brands at ViacomCBS, Chris McCarthy, recognized these efforts and praised him during a town hall meeting with employees.

“I don’t know if anyone has been following Nick’s journey since the incident – I have, and the thing that’s unique about Nick – different from many others, is that Nick owned it. He apologized, he said it was wrong. He has since been on a journey of learning and understanding, and more importantly, he is using his voice to help educate other people and is becoming an advocate on this issue. This is consistent with the Nick I’ve known for ten years,” McCarthy said.

McCarthy didn’t detail any specific plans for Cannon to work with the company again, but he said he’s “hopeful” that they can reconnect with Nick Cannon to tell stories about important social issues.

Check out McCarthy’s full statement below:

Let me start with stating the important and hopefully obvious fact – what Nick said was wrong, hurtful, and it was offensive. We have to stand up for our values – clear and simple. Hate against one of us is hate against any of us and Nick’s comments were anti-Semitic. So, we needed to stand up to that and we did that which was the right thing to do.

I don’t know if anyone has been following Nick’s journey since the incident – I have, and the thing that’s unique about Nick – different from many others, is that Nick owned it. He apologized, he said it was wrong. He has since been on a journey of learning and understanding, and more importantly, he is using his voice to help educate other people and is becoming an advocate on this issue. This is consistent with the Nick I’ve known for ten years.

As I look back on all of this, I regret that we didn’t have our new ‘Cultural Code’ built sooner. It’s a shame that it took an incident like this for us to take a step back and have a clear process in place to address issues like this. Part of that came from when I asked myself – ‘what could we have done that would have made it better or what can we do to prevent this from happening in the future?

I struggle with the fact that Nick, a longtime partner and friend of ours, is on this journey and we’re not part of that journey. And that’s honestly where the our new ‘Cultural Code’ came from and bringing in social justice partners so we all have the base-level education. And, if I could change anything, I would have asked us to build that two years ago.

We’re in the content business and we all understand the power of telling stories. The gift that we have as storytellers is to transport audiences into new worlds and experiences – enabling them to walk in someone else’s shoes. And when we do this well, we can give the gift empathy and understanding. And we do this all the time, as we will see from the upcoming video. And we have been doing it for years, from the early days of ‘Real World,’ to ’16 and Pregnant,’ to what Trevor (Noah) does every day. We help other people understand the world we live in. And we need to step up even more.

So, when I take a step back, I am hopeful. I am hopeful we find a way to bring these two things together and hopefully we will have the opportunity to do that with Nick again.

Ice Cube Criticized For Sharing Alleged “Anti-Semitic” Memes On Twitter

Ice Cube has always walked the thin line of controversy when it came to the jewish community, but a recent series of tweets has the Hip Hop living legend on the receiving end of criticism of what is once again perceived as anti-semitic ideas.

Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson, sent out five tweets yesterday to his more than 5 million followers , three of which included a Black Cube, which he captioned in one of the tweets, “Black Cube of Saturn”.

Critics immediately called the actor and director of the timeless Friday series’ tweets “anti-semitic”, with some even questioning as to whether or not Cube’s account had been hacked.

The original N.W.A. defector vehemently stood behind his posts, stating, “This is CUBE. My account has not been hacked. I speak for no organization,” he tweeted. “I only speak for the meek people of the earth. We will not expect crumbles from your table. We have to power of almighty God backing us all over the earth. NO MORE TALKING. Repent.”

Cube’s sophomore album Death Certificate, which featured the late Nation Of Islam and Black Panther Party leader Khalid Abdul Muhammad, drew a lot of criticism for what is recognized as anti-Semitic overtones, especially with the reference to Jerry Heller on N.W.A. diss “No Vaseline”, saying, “Cause you let a Jew break up my crew..”
