Nas Reunites W/ Amy Winehouse On New Salaam Remi FIND MY LOVE Song

Find My Love Nas

New York rapper Nas is spreading l-o-v-e. The hip-hop veteran has a new posthumous Amy Winehouse collaboration out for the masses.

Last night, Nasir Jones went to Instagram to announce his new “Find My Love” single.

A couple years ago, Nas shared a throwback Winehouse pic to celebrate her birthday.

Back in October 2011, Nas fessed up to Amy penning her classic “Me & Mr. Jones” with him on her mind.

Nas confirms to XXL that Amy Winehouse’s classic song is about him… Rumor has it that Winehouse once had a crush on Nas, but interpretations on the song vary. “Mr. Destiny, 9 and 14,” Winehouse sings, referencing Nas’s daughter, Destiny, and the September 14 birth date she shared with the rapper. “Nobody stands between me and my man/’Cause it’s me and Mr. Jones.” (XXL Mag)

Months prior, Nas reflected on Winehouse and his close relationship to her.

“She was a genuine person,” Nas said referring to Winehouse. “She was like, real. When you talked to her, she was real. She was struggling with a lot of things in her life, but she was a real artist. She was like a sister to me, like a little sister. We had the same birthday so she just had this big, big spirit for this little body. You know what I mean? I wish she was here today, man. God bless her soul.” (“106 & Park”)

Amy Winehouse Hologram Tour Is Happening In 2019

Amy Winehouse

Before her unexpected death in 2011 Amy Winehouse seemed well on her way to international superstardom but like many artists before her the addiction to alcohol and substance abuse derailed her career and ended up being the reason for her too early demise.

Now her family is looking to keep her essence alive by embarking on a hologram tour in conjunction with BASE Hologram. Rolling Stone is reporting that the singer’s estate has come to an agreement with the entertainment company to kick off a tour next year that will feature “digitally remastered arrangements of [Winehouse’s] classics” while the hologram “will be backed by a live band, singers and theatrical stagecraft.”

After Tupac shook up Coachella back in 2012 via digital hologram, there was talk of a Biggie and even Elvis hologram tour but none of those every came to fruition for whatever reasons. But this seems like it may very well be a go and Amy’s father, Mitch told Rolling Stone that this was a “dream for us.” He went on to add “To see her perform again is something special that really can’t be put into words. Our daughter’s music touched the lives of millions of people and it means everything that her legacy will continue in this innovative and groundbreaking way.”

But this won’t just be a tour for the sake of banking off of Amy’s legacy. The hologram tour will also be used to raise money for the Amy Winehouse Foundation which works to stymie young people’s abuse of drugs and alcohol. Sounds kosher to us.

No word yet on when the tour will be ready to get on the road but should everything go accordingly we’re all going to be looking at Puff Daddy expecting him to take Biggie’s likeness on the road one last time.

Amy Winehouse Hologram Worldwide Tour to Begin in 2019

Amy Winehouse is the latest artist to get the hologram treatment. Base Hologram has collaborated with the estate of the Grammy winning artist for a worldwide tour in 2019.

Fans will get the opportunity to see the late singer once again or out of the blue as a multi dimensional image as the best in class generation reproduces Winehouse on the stage. Highlighting carefully restored game plans of her works of art, the hologram will be supported by a live band, singers and theatrical stagecraft.

“This is a dream for us,” said Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, in a release. “To see her perform again is something special that really can’t be put into words. Our daughter’s music touched the lives of millions of people and it means everything that her legacy will continue in this innovative and groundbreaking way.”

The tour was announced by Mitch Winehouse and Base Hologram CEO of creations Marty Tudor at the Amy Winehouse Foundation’s yearly occasion in London.

“Amy was an extraordinary individual who had an unbelievable passion for both her music and her fans,” said Tudor in a release. “This tour will tap into that devotion and remind people of her amazing voice and all of her contributions to the world of music. In addition, we are proud to be a part of contributing to the Amy Winehouse Foundation and Amy’s legacy of commitment to others in need.”

The Amy Winehouse Foundation attempts to keep the impacts of drug and liquor abuse on the youth. The group also plans to  support, inform and inspire vulnerable and disadvantaged young people to help them reach their full potential.

The Winehouse family and Base Hologram are concluding plans, to be reported later on, to raise awareness and fundraising for The Amy Winehouse Foundation on the tour.

“Amy was a powerhouse in every sense of the word. She played by her own rules, pioneered her own sense of style of music and because of that we know she is the perfect person to headline this type of project,” said Brian Becker, founder & CEO of Base Entertainment and Base Hologram, in a release.

Winehouse is the first British artist to win five Grammy awards and at the time of her death in July of 2011, she was tied with Beyoncé for the most Grammy wins in a single night by a female artist.

The Winehouse hologram concert will join Base Hologram’s current touring shows “In Dreams: Roy Orbison – The Hologram Concert” and “Callas in Concert,” in honor of opera legend Maria Callas.
