Tamera Mowry-Housley Confirms Departure From ‘The Real’

Tamera Mowry Returns to 'The Real' After Her Niece's Killing at Thousand Oaks Shooting

Tamera Mowry-Housley is the latest host to leave ‘The Real’ daytime talk show. The veteran actress has co-hosted the show since its 2013 debut. She took to Instagram on Monday to confirm her exit from the Emmy-Award winning talk show following the then-alleged reports.

“For seven years, my home and heart has been at The Real, wrote Mowry-Housely. “The friendships that I’ve made there will last a lifetime, and the people that I’ve had the blessing to interview have changed my life for the better. I’m so proud of what all the ladies and I have accomplished there, including two well-deserved NAACP Image Awards and a Daytime Emmy. However, all good things must come to an end, and it’s with a bittersweet smile that I announce that I am moving on from The Real.”

She goes on to thank her fellow co-host for the time shared on the award winning showing.

“To my fellow hosts, I love you, I will miss you, and I will always be there for you. Thank you for teaching me, supporting me, and loving all of me. Sisters forever. I’ll be rooting for you, as I look forward to spending more time with my family, pursuing amazing new opportunities, and embarking on the next chapter of my life.”

Mowry-Housley expressed how she had no plans to share her departure following the shocking death news of her dear friend and Glee actress, Naya Rivera.

The ‘Sister Sister’ actress is the third host to leave the show since its beginning in 2013. Amanda Seales, who joined the show back in January, announced her exit just six months following her debut. Tamar Braxton left the show back in 2016 as part of the show’s original group of hosts. There is no word on whether or not someone will fill the absent seats of Mowry-Housley and Seales.

And then there were 3. Loni Love, Adrieene Houghton and Jeannie Mai remain as co-hosts of The Real.

Adrienne Bailon-Houghton Confirms Fabolous ‘You Be Killin Em’ Beat Was Made for Her

Fabolous appeared on a recent episode of Drink Champs and briefly name dropped Adrienne Bailon-Houghton because apparently, she had first dibs on his hit single, “You Be Killin Em.”

The singer and actress set the record straight on The Real and confirmed that she did originally have the song when she was dating Lenny S. “To set the story straight, the song, the track was absolutely made for me. Back when I was signed to Def Jam…I was dating Lenny and we actually got studio time with Ryan Leslie who is an incredible producer, and I was telling Ryan, ‘This is the kinda music that I want.’ Crazy enough, my album that never came out was titled Unapologetic, which later was [the title of] Rihanna’s.”

“I really wanted something that felt hard and had this vibe, I was being very outspoken on the album,” Adrienne continued. “And I was like, ‘I want something that feels [she mimics a beat].’” She stated that Ryan specifically made the beat for her and then they began searching for writers, but they may have taken too long because Lenny told them that he was going to give it to Fab. “It ended up being the smash song ‘You Be Killin Em.’”

Angela Yee Gets Tamera Mowry-Housely & Adrienne Bailon Houghton To Talk Porn

The cast of the hit show The Real appeared on The Breakfast Club recently, and while everyone thought that the bombs dropped about Tamar Braxton and her ex-Vincent Herbert would be the highlights of the interview, it was Angela Yee’s last minute “Girl Chat” question that made people run for a bottle of olive oil.

Yee shares that she read an article in the New York Post that said “one of the best things you can do for couples therapy is to watch porn together.” Since the only two married women on the show are Tamera Mowry-Housely and Adrienne Bailon Houghton, the questions plopped right in their prayer lap-cloth!

Let’s first get this out of the way: Both Tamera and Adrienne are good Christian girls. Tamera regularly uses her Instagram to express her faith and to celebrate her God. Adrienne, while not as demonstrative, is married to award-winning singer, producer and gospel songwriter Israel Houghton (He is like best friends with Peter, Paul and Mary).  So it was surprising when they answered the question so honestly.

Adrienne nonchalantly confessed, “It wouldn’t bother me. My husband is just not into porn.” She shared while watching a little smoker flick does nothing for the pastor (that’s what Charlamagne Tha God called him), she personally does not mind watching porn. Honestly, while we love the woman the she has grown into, we know her from her days in 3LW, as a Cheetah Girl and the girlfriend of Rob Kardashian. We were not shock and actually appreciate that she is honest about watching, even as she watched on her cell phone.

Everyone was holding their breath to hear what Tamera had to say, particularly considering her very robust faith walk and family influence. And she too was honest… to honest for fans who remember her in the hit TV show, Sister, Sister.

Tamera declared to a choir of gasps and giggles, that she’s actually watched porn before. She said, “People probably think I haven’t. They think I am naive in that sense.” Her biggest turn off was that the actors’ bodies in the films did not look like hers. There was a disconnect in the fantasy for her.  But thank you Adrienne for offering some helpful tips, “You got to watch ‘amateur.’”

It was all in good fun that the ladies were able to give us a little peek into their lives. Maybe too much. As the conversations drew to a close, the question about Tamera’s sex life came to the table and co-host Jeannie Mai came to her hosting sister’s defense by sharing few private details about the twin’s husband. Mai says as she claps, “And Adam… good job!”

The Real is an American talk show, which is hosted by Lonie Love, Adrienne Bailon Houghton, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housely. They are currently in their 5th season.
