Former NYC Mayor Rudy Guiliani has got himself in some hot water after supporting Donald Trump’s claims that the presidential election that he lost to President Joe Biden was rigged. Now, Giuliani is facing a defamation suit for supporting these “false election” allegations

Dominion Voting Systems, the company behind the voting software and hardware used to count votes in the 2020 presidential election, filed the suit against Giuliani for pushing “demonstrably false” allegations of a rigged election.

The former New York mayor responded to the suit, saying, “It will allow me to investigate their history, finances, and practices fully and completely. The amount being asked for is, quite obviously, intended to frighten people of faint heart. It is another act of intimidation by the hate-filled left-wing to wipe out and censor the exercise of free speech, as well as the ability of lawyers to defend their clients vigorously. As such, we will investigate a countersuit against them for violating these Constitutional rights.”
