Report: Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Have Stopped Going to Marriage Counseling

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s attempts to save their marriage have been unsuccessful.

A new report from PEOPLE claims that the couple was in marriage counseling but they have “completely” stopped going, a sign that divorce may be imminent.

“He is talking to divorce lawyers this week,” a source said of Kanye.

Just two weeks ago, it was reported that Kim had hired high-profile divorce attorney Laura Wasser and was planning to file for divorce from West.

“They are just not on the same page when it comes to their future as a family,” an insider told PEOPLE. “And Kim is okay with it.”

The source claims that Kim grew distant from Kanye following his failed presidential run and public struggles with bipolar disorder. “Kim has become more independent and has lost patience with his antics, rants, the presidential campaign and tweets,” added the source.

According to PEOPLE, the couple’s romance has been over for more than a year, even prior to talks of divorce. “The love story between Kim and Kanye has been over for a long time, more than a year,” said the insider. “They adored each other but have too many differences.”

Kim has yet to officially end her six-year marriage to West. The couple, who married in May 2014, shares four children—daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 3, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, 20 months.

“She will do everything she can for the kids to have a great relationship with Kanye,” said the source. “She just doesn’t want to be married to him.”

Kim last acknowledged their relationship on Nov. 22 when she celebrated the 10th anniversary of Kanye’s album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. On Tuesday, she shared a bikini-clad photo of herself sunbathing while quoting lyrics from Jeremih’s “Paradise.” “This is more than life…this is paradise,” she wrote.
