Producer Sues Travis Scott Over ‘Highest in the Room’ Beat

One of Travis Scott’s most successful singles is now the subject of a lawsuit. According to TMZ, Danish producer Benjamin Lasnier is suing the Astroworld rapper for using his recordings on “Highest in the Room.”

The lawsuit claims that La Flame stole Lasnier’s guitar melody on the Billboard #1 charting single. Lasnier says that he on multiple occasions played the melody on his social media accounts.

Lasnier was shopping this guitar melody as well as other recordings he made and eventually found a beat solicitor close to Travis Scott according to the report. Lasnier claims that the solicitor, Jamie Lepr, gave the track to Travis who eventually rapped over an altered version on “Highest in the Room.”

Travis Scott has not yet responded to the lawsuit. Lasnier is a Platinum-selling producer with a deep resume in the industry having worked with Ace Hood, Trippie Redd and Russ in the past. Lasnier recently celebrated his first Platinum Plaque for his work on NBA Youngboy’s AI Youngboy 2 LP.
