Frank Ocean is Reportedly Beefing With Travis Scott to be Removed From ‘ASTROWORLD’

It’s nice to see that Drake and Meek Mill squashed their beef, but some fresh beef arose between Travis Scott and Frank Ocean, who recently collaborated for La Flame’s latest release, ASTROWORLD.

TMZ reports that the two has been going at it for weeks leading up to the release of his junior album, which immediately made it to the No. 1 spot on the charts. However, that isn’t phasing Ocean because  he wants his vocals off of “Carousel.”

Frank Ocean is allegedly upset because his vocals on the track were changed. It’s unclear what changes were made but his voice does notably feature autotune and his pitch is higher in the third verse than it is in the chorus. Not sure what ruffled Frank’s feathers but he wants out.

Frank’s legal team issued a cease and desist to Travis’ team to remove him off of Carousel. But Scott didn’t even budge, and considering that the track received critical acclaim by the masses, he probably wants to leave the record as it is.

Lil Wayne Reveals That he Attempted Suicide When he Was 12

Lil Wayne’s highly-anticipated album Tha Carter V is finally seeing the light of day. In a cover shoot with Billboard Weezy opened up about the constant delays of the album and how it feels to finally have a release date.

“I’m very much a perfectionist . . . I don’t know what it’s setting me up for—some big comeback, or maybe some big fall back or whatever—but it’s setting me up for something, and I’m ready,” Wayne said. The album, as noted in the feature, will be the first in Weezy’s catalog to not carry the Cash Money logo. However, Young Money’s distribution deal with Republic is still effective. Additionally, Tunechine is now the only owner of the label.

The author, Dan Rys, mentioned that the outdo track talks about when Lil Wayne attempted suicide when he was 12.

“[Wayne] just told me one day that he was ready to address it now,” Mack Maine said of the incident, during which Wayne shot himself in the chest with a gun he found at his mother’s house. “Just being an adult, reaching a level of maturity and comfort where it’s like, ‘I want to talk about this because I know a lot of people out here might be going through that.’” Wayne had previously characterized the moment as an accident.

Young Money shared the presumed cover art of Tha Carter V on Wednesday. After Floyd Mayweather and Benjamin Mendy have posted up hash-tagged pictures, fans have reason to believe that the album is on its way soon.

Happy Birthday to One of the Greatest Lyricists of Hip-Hop History: Nas

Today marks the 45th birthday of one of hip-hop’s most treasured lyricists, Nas.

By many, Nasir Jones is number one on their top, 10, 5, and 3 lists of the greatest emcees to ever touch the mic in Hip-Hop history. Marbled as the prodigal, deep, and lyrically intellectual spitter, Nas’ coming into Hip-Hop owned multidimensional potency. Not only was he a dexterous battle rapper, but the Queensbridge emcee was also gifted with a melodic touch for wax.

His 1991 debut on Main Source’s “Live At the BBQ” was an impressive display of the young Nas’ lyrical dexterity, on a collective track with ridiculous blows.

“Verbal assassin, my architect pleases/When I was twelve, I went to hell for snuffing Jesus,” Nas easily launched the most compelling debut of a Hip-Hop emcee.

The mesmerizing drop eventually leads to a deal with Columbia Records, where he goes on cement a legacy.

Over the course of two years, Nas huddled some of the culture’s best producers of the time, Large Professor, DJ Premier, Q-Tip, and Pete Rock to mold the echo of his debut album, Illmatic. The 1994 gem gained the likes of Hip-Hop purists and the young black youth. Drawing up the panoramic narrative as the young black boy from Queensbridge on the quest for survival, the 10-track piece is considered to be the greatest Hip-Hop album of all time.

The lyrical finesse of Escobar season continued to sizzle throughout Hip-Hop’s most prominent’s eras with profiled classics such as his certified sophomore debut, 1996’s It Was Written followed by I Am…(1999), Nastradamus (1999), Stillmatic (2001), God’s Son (2002), up to 2018’s NASIR.

Nas has truly made his way into the prestigious lines of Hip-Hop heights. As of 2018, Nasty Nas is certainly heralded as rap royalty, respectfully. His influential reach stands beyond his lyrical supremacy, but his unmatched spirit which is true to the art form of rap.

Happy Birthday to one of the greatest lyricists in Hip-Hop history, Nas.
